Hidden Affair: My Best Friend’s Brother

I slowly made my way through the crowd and there he was, my man, or so I thought.

Zade was and is one of the many reasons I believe in love and always will. I mean he came to me after all these years and now we’re united.

He was the one for me and I for him, the one and only, the only one who was there when I needed him most.

I slowly approached him, and his gaze was fixed on me……….those eyes could melt even the hardest rock to ever exist, those ocean blue eyes which sparkle as the Pacific Ocean laced with glitter. As I take a moment to observe, he was dressed in silver clothing and a blue tie which complements his eyes ever so well, he takes my hand and kisses it which takes me by surprise and while still in shock grabs me by the waist and kisses me.

Oh my God—Zade kissing me in front of the crowd, and I am enjoying it.

Lexi….Lexi….Lexiiiiiii “my mum echoed in the background”

“A minute please, I’m trying to kiss my mannnnn”

“Brrrr….brrrr……brrrrrrrr”

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” I screamed

Stupid alarm, it was just getting intense. It was so goodddd. I silently cry as I get out of bed.

(Later that day)

“Do you think that Dylan cares about me. I mean…….he tried getting together” Elle said. Elle is my best friend and she is not the brightest when it comes to relationships. I mean Dylan, the slouchebag , even douchebag is an understatement used to describe him.

“No Elle I don’t think he does, I mean, he fucking cheated on you. Now if you’d allow let’s continue our movie.” I spat back irritated.

It’s our tradition to watch movies every Saturday night cause I mean it’s better than parties at least for me. We watched movies through the night and slept off.

Classic us. Elle is Zade’s sister and she doesn’t know that I like her brother…I mean who would….we despise each other that is, me and Zade of course and besides me and Elle have a pact. Siblings are off limits..we made it when we were 9…..honestly now I regret it. We had a trip to Los Angeles the next day. This summer about to be lit!!!

By morning, I had packed my bags and we set off. “Wow this is huge” I said as I made my way into the   house we use for family vacations. It had just been renovated and it looks so great. The gold like colour of the house as well as the gold curtains just gave it a little extra class, as I looked up I noticed the chandelier which was ever so stunning.

“I know right” Elle replied. “ I didn’t expect it to be this good” Our parents and siblings traveled out for work so that meant we had this house to ourselves and we were most certainly going to make the most out of it. That I knew

“Let’s go drop our bags” I replied. Elle and I dropped our bags and ordered food. We stayed in one room because the house is large and ain’t no way I’ll be alone. I headed downstairs and I heard certain voice……………which was far from unfamiliar. Zade………..Zade!!!!!! What is he doing here? They are all supposed to be on work-cation.

What the actual fuck. My vacation is ruined. Zade is a little bit too controlling and honestly I hated him for that otherwise he is just a guy with the body of a Greek god and the face of an Angel.

“Well…well.well if it isn’t the notorious duo” Zade said and it left an echo through the room.

“What the fuck are you doing here, we certainly don’t need you here and don’t you dare say it’s for our-“ I replied but was cut short by Zade’s sudden interruption

“Protection-honey don’t flatter yourself, I have a lot of work to do here and I just might happen to keep an eye on you two” he shot back

“Elle!!!!” I shouted and she rushed down the stairs

“What happened is our food here—what the actual fuck, urghhhh our vacation is ruined” Elle said in a shocked and yet irritated tone

“Exactly what I said” I replied

“I don’t care if you’re here for work, stay out of our way, Mr protector” the words just had to escape as I shot beams at him with my brown eyes.

“Then stay out of trouble Reynolds” he said to me while making sure to emphasize my last name.

“What an asshole” I spat.

“Common let’s go Lexi” Elle said and we left. Not sure where we were headed though but this direction is towards the pool

How do I even dream of us, what am I even thinking. He is so fucking stuck up, I honestly don’t give a fuck anymore and he should please not appear in my dreams or my imagination any more.

“Elle I didn’t wear my bikini, I can’t swim in full clothes” I say whining like a child

“Then take them off” Elle replies

“Fine” I say. I took off my clothes and went into the water. Elle surely knows how the sound of water calms me down. God I love her.

“I’ll be right back, give me 2 hours” Elle says as she gets up from the swimming pool

“No,no,no Elle don’t leave me here with him and besides two hours is a long time” I say giving her the best puppy eye I could think of

“Don’t worry you’ll be fine, love you, bye” she says as she walks away.

“I guess I’m left all alone then, wow what a life” I muttered under my breath.

Sudden there was a splash of water and then Zade.
