Dominic
I was split between staying and watching her or following Sir Asshat and teaching him a lesson. My choice, however, was made for me when my phone rang in my pocket, and my father's number popped up on the screen. "Hello?" I answered as I watched the Douchebag drive off. "Your mother will have dinner ready soon. She had a bad day, so make sure you are home in time to eat with her." I sighed, "alright, I will be there soon." My mother loved being a waitress. However, people are assholes, and some days after working all day, she would come home and cook everything we had in the house. It was her way of dealing with stress. She wouldn't necessarily eat much of what she cooked or baked, but it calmed her.
Hanging up, I watched the beauty that is my mate go inside and shut the door before kicking my bike back on and pulling back out onto the road. It didn't take long for me to get to the house we were staying at. In fact, it only took a few minutes to drive the five or so miles between her house and mine. I walked in to find my mother pulling a few dishes out of the oven. She looked up as I walked in and stopped dead in her tracks. "What happened?" She looked concerned. I gave her as good of a smile as I could and shook my head, "Nothing. What's for dinner?" I walked over, looking at the variety of pans and dishes sitting out on the counter. She had already made a casserole, a couple of pies, ham, potato salad, pasta salad, large beef meatballs, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and then the carrot cake she was removing from the oven, currently. She had also already started on a batch of peanut butter cookies. I raised an eyebrow at her, "That bad of a day?" She shook her head, "No, it really wasn't that bad. Now tell me what happened." I shook my head, "where's dad?" Sighing, she pointed to the front room. Following the direction she pointed, I walked out to the front room, finding my dad hiding in a room listed as a din, but we had made it into his office. From the sounds of it, he was on the phone with his boss, so I simply walked in and sat down.
My wait wasn't long as my father finished his call. His attention instantly moved to me as he set his phone down. "What happened?" Sighing, I rolled my eyes, slouching a little in the chair. "Why do you both instantly think something happened?" Scoffing, he shook his head. "Because you only have that look on your face when something happens." Slouching a bit more, I leaned my head against the back of the chair. "I found my mate." Both my father's eyebrows shot up. "You don't sound as excited as you should be about that." Shrugging, I set back up a little. "She is with someone, and she hasn't shifted yet. Also, I am not entirely sure she knows what she is." Sitting back in his seat, my father let his head fall to one side. "Why do you think that?" Again I shrugged my shoulders. "Dad, in the time that we have been here, have you found and smelled any other wolves? I haven't until today. And that was when I saw her. But even though I can smell her as one of us, her scent is not the same as others I have smelled. And I know that is because she is my mate. But it is also like something is covering her scent. That and there was no other wolf scent around her house."
My dad fell silent for a long while. I didn't push for him to say anything. I could tell he was thinking about what I said. Although I didn't really need him to tell me what he was thinking on why her scent would smell like it was being covered up. I already had my own theories on that. I, however, was not expecting him to say what he did finally end up saying. "Sounds like you need to win her over and get her away from this guy she is with. Treat her like any other human that is mated to a wolf. Start out slowly, introducing her to our way of life." Standing from his chair, he motioned for me to get up as well. "And if that doesn't work, show her your wolf and let him take care of things." With that, he left his office and headed into the kitchen to help my mom. I was left standing in my father's office, slightly shocked. As my wolf was all for letting me let him take control of the situation, I didn't think it was a good idea. No, we were going to have to figure out a way to ease our way into her life. Gain her trust and get her away from Dick Mcdickerson. There has to be a way for us to do this the right way.
Bri Walking into the house, I was glad my parents weren't home. I didn't feel like listening to another lecture about how Cody wasn't good for me and that I needed to find someone that treated me better. It was the same every night they were home. Between dad being a lawyer and mom being a doctor, their schedules got pretty busy, which meant late nights. When I was little, I had a nanny, but now that I was older, I was left to my own devices. I set my backpack down not far from the front door so that I could grab it on my way out in the morning. Then walked into the kitchen to grab something to eat. I pulled the note my mother left me off the front of the fridge. It said the same as it always does, "dinner in the fridge, your father and I are working late. Don't wait up. Have a good day. Love mom and dad." I opened the fridge to find a large container of chicken curry and white rice. I pulled them out and dished some up, heating it in the microwave for a few minutes. I sat and ate a
BriThe next morning I slept through my alarm and had to rush to be dressed, and ready to go before Cody arrived to pick me up. Which meant throwing on a pair of leggings, an oversized t-shirt, and some sandals. I threw my hair up in a messy bun and went downstairs in time to see my parents just as they walked out the door to head to work. My mom gave me a quick hug, "I left some money on the counter. We are both going to be late again." I hugged her back, "Ok." And they were out the door. I ran into the kitchen, grabbed the money she had left, and no more than tucked it into my book bag when I heard the honk from Cody's car. Grabbing my bag, I ran out the door making sure to lock it, before closing it, and ran across the yard, climbing into the car. "About time...what are you wearing?" I rolled my eyes which I knew he hated, but really he just pulled up. It wasn't like he had been waiting long and what I was wearing was just fine. His hand shot out and grabbed my chin. His fingers du
DominicAfter dinner with my folks, I snuck out and shifted, running back to her house. Her scent grew stronger the closer I got, so I was not surprised to find her sitting outside. She was beautiful. She was concentrating on her sketchbook again. This time she had colors that she was using. I sat and watched her work for a long time before she looked up and saw me. Flipping the page of her book, she started drawing something else with a pencil for a while before using the colors again. I watched as they stained her fingers as she smudged at the page. After maybe another hour or so, she smiled down at the page she had been working on and then smiled at me. She was so fucking hot. I had to find a way to talk to her. Then she stood up, and the bruises on her leg were fresh and very noticeable. Maybe first, I will kill the motherfucker that marked her like that. I hadn’t noticed I growled as I stood up when she did until she looked terrified and froze. Quickly I lay down on the ground wi
BriThe next morning I still felt off, but I had to force myself to get through the day and then the party. Then I would have the whole weekend to rest. Cody had a game out of town on Saturday, and he didn't mind if I missed those. I made sure I was up early to shower and dress. I chose one of the skirts that Cody loved but my father hated. It just barely met the school dress code. It was a light pink, so I paired it with a white sleeveless top that showed the tiniest bit of belly skin and again pushed the dress code. I left my hair down and applied the slightest bit of makeup. Then I pulled on a pair of knee-high boots to tie the outfit together. I tucked an extra pair of clothes in my bag just in case. But this outfit would work for school and would easily carry over to the party if needed. I waited for my parents to leave, dashed downstairs, grabbed their note about working late again, and headed outside to wait for Cody. I was happy to see the bruises on my leg hadn't been as bad
DominicBesides trying not to kill my mate's boyfriend, I spent my days at school doing my best to dodge all the girls. Apparently, it was decided they all wanted to hook up with me. Too bad for them. I was already taken. Even if my mate wasn't aware of it yet, I was already hers. I just had to figure out how to approach her and not freak her out. Something I was still working on as I watched her leave with him again today. I knew they were going to a party tonight. One of the other football players at put together. Word around the halls was it was supposed to be epic, and anyone that was anyone in the school would be there. I wasn't originally going to follow her to the party or even go, for that matter. But my wolf wouldn't leave me alone. I couldn't sit still for anything, and apparently, I was driving my parents crazy because they told me just to go. If my wolf was that worked up about something, I needed to listen to him. Not wanting to go and be seen really, I shifted in the tr
BriCody ran off, leaving me with a wolf. I should have tried to walk around the wolf and go with him, but something told me to stay where I was. My legs started to ache, so I sat down. I realize if this strange wolf hadn’t shown up, Cody would have done the worst thing he ever thought about doing to me. I couldn’t help the tears that ran down my face as I let myself cry. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the wolf moving closer to me, and I readied myself for it to attack me, but it stopped right next to me. Soon though, the thoughts of what might have happened left me. My whole body began to hurt. It felt like I was being ripped apart from the inside out, and I wished the wolf would just attack me and get it over with. I lay down on my side, crying heavier. The wolf got up and walked off, leaving me on my own, but not for long. Dominic appeared out of nowhere wearing only shorts. He lifted me as though I weighed nothing, “come on, sweetheart. You can’t shift here.” Shift? What was h
Bri I ran around in a large circle ending back in the same spot I had started, finally lying down and rolling around. This felt great. My muscles pulled and stretched in ways I never knew they could, making me feel stronger. Dominic came into the clearing in human form. Again with only a pair of shorts on. He carried a bag with him as he slowly walked over to me. I rolled over again and set up. I was still so full of energy and felt like bouncing around. He smiled at me as he set the bag down in front of me. “Shifting back is easier than your first shift. Just relax and picture yourself standing in front of a mirror.” He backed up a few steps and turned around, so his back was to me.I did what he said and found myself crouching down next to the bag he left completely naked. I grabbed the bag and found a t-shirt and some boxers inside. I grabbed them and dressed quickly. The shirt was huge on me, and if I were to guess, I would say it was one of Dominic’s, mainly because it smelled j
Dominic It was well past midnight when my mom and I took Bri back to her house to find people everywhere. And then sometime close to three in the morning when things calmed down enough that everyone finally left. Not that it bothered me. Bri mentioned Jackasses' attack, and her father made sure he didn't leave there without special bracelets. His group of jocks that had been with him disappeared shortly after that leaving him to his fate. Bri's father thanked me before ushering her inside. And my mother headed home. There was a lot to do, and my job was to look after Bri. I ducked into the woods that seemed to encircle this town. How there wasn't a wolf population in the area was beyond me, it was perfect. Once in, far enough, I circled around to the back side of the house. Stripping down, I left my clothes in a pile and shifted. I moved to the same spot I have been sitting in the last few days and watched Bri as she came to the window to see if I was there. I watched as her eyebrows
