17. Rightfully Ours

Lucy appeared before Amaryllis to reprimand her for not carrying out her portion of the plan.

“Do you not want your father and uncle back home where they belong? With us!”

Kiah stood trapped in a corner as her mother berated her over and over, it had been a week now.

She had been trying to lay low and escape from their clutches but nothing she seemed to do worked.

It was like the demon lady had eyes on her and wouldn’t let her go.

Lucy slapped Kiah across the face so hard her head bounced off the wall and she fell to the floor.

This was the third time she became unresponsive after being hit harshly and Lucy was starting to get worried.

In the past she had been careful of her physical abuse and not going overboard but these days Kiah made her so angry that she just couldn’t contain herself.

Could she really call this girl her child with how disappointing she turned out to be?

Maybe they could harness her powers and use them some other way.

The child was way too softh
