Branka's POV

My heartbeat has been irregular since I came back inside the kitchen unnoticed which I was thankful for. I didn't want to call any more attention to myself than I already did tonight.

There was literally nothing much to do anymore. The foods had been served and servers already took them to the banquet hall. The kitchen was almost empty and there was no Jessica in sight which I was thankful for.

I don't think I have it in me to deal with that lady right now. I was packing up the dishes that were dirty when I suddenly felt hands grab me from behind. I screamed but my mouth was covered so the stream was muffled.

“Arghrr….” I fought hard. But nothing beats strength.

“Don't fight it, Branks. I know you want this too. Don't you?” I shook my head frantically against his chest. It was Damon. I could never forget his scratchy voice and he was the only one that called me Branks.

“Don't say that. I've seen the way you look at me. Like you want me or something. So, I'll do the honours.” He said touching my body the way he wanted. Tears sprang out in my eyes and started rolling down.

Out of all the ways I thought I'd end this evening, this was not it. I looked around the kitchen, and the people that were there formerly were nowhere to be found. It was just us.

“I don't want you.” I tried to get out when he let my mouth go, turning me to him. I already had a feeling that something like this will happen soon. I just knew it.

“Oh, please. Don't give me any of that coy attitude. I don't know why the alpha wants you. But, before he gets to you, I'll tap in, then his expectation that you'd be a virgin will be gone.maybe he'd kill you then. When he gets to know that you gave yourself to someone else.” Looking at him now, he looked and smelled like he was drunk. His hands were strong on my waist.

Moving them up, he grabbed my breasts painfully.

“I'd always wanted to touch these.” I struggled to slap his hands off me.

“Leave me….me alone. P.. please. D..don't do this.” I begged.

I heard it before I felt it. The sound resonated through the kitchen, then my cheeks burned.

“You obviously like it rough. For you to be begging me now.” He said tearing away the flimsy clothes I had on. He hit me again when I tried to cover myself.

His hand went in between my legs to cup me. I felt a surge of power then, with all my strength I pushed him away. I didn't think it would work, but it actually did.

“Let me go, you bastard!” I screamed. Trying to cover my body with the tattered clothes I had, I scrambled away from him. He stayed in the ground where he was.

“You're nothing, you know? So, I don't get why Dorian is so obsessed with you. Why won't he allow us to play around with you.” He rambled out.

“Just because I'm not on the same level with all of you does not mean that I get to be your bitch or always at your beck and call. You've all taken so much from me already, now you want to take the last thing that belongs to me? I won't let you. You hear me? I'll kill you and wait beside your dead body to be killed.” I said in a calm voice I was not expecting.

He stood up, staggering as he did so.

“You think you can hurt me?” He slurred out. Only the goddess knows what he's taken to allow him to be like this. I know nothing really knocks out a werewolf. But for him to be like this, he must have taken something really strong.

I don't care though. I brandished the knife in front of me, as if to defend myself. I grabbed it from the vanity when I kicked him off.

“You can try me.” I said, holding it tight in front of me.

He was about to come for me again, when someone bursted in.

“Beta, you need to come now.” It was a male omega. He looked like he was sent running here to call him. I sighed in relief. He looked in my direction and down at my body to see how I looked.

He had no hint of sympathy in them. Infact, he looked like he'd do malicious things to me if he was not in a hurry. I turned away to hide myself.

“Why?” Damon asked.

“The Alpha king is asking to see everyone old enough in the pack right now.” Damon's eyes widened in shock and started going out.

“Fuck. Why now?” He said and started arranging himself in ways he can.

He was about stepping out when he turned to me and said,

“This is not over.”

Oh, you have no idea how much this is over.

I'm leaving this pack tonight. I don't care how. But I'm leaving. I don't bother going since I know that will annoy Alpha Dorian.

I slipped out through the back door to my room. When I entered, I brought out a backpack from under the bed and started putting all of my meager belongings inside. Not long after, I was done. I changed into another set of clothing.

I was about to step out when I saw the coat I kept on my bed earlier. I debated for a while if I should take it or not.

Dashing forward, I took it and kept it in the bag. I might as well have something that will keep me warm instead of freezing to death out there.

When I was done, I walked briskly to the end of the hall as I pushed the small gate that I was praying would be open. I clicked and opened. I sighed in relief when it opened.

The cold air slapped me straight in the face as soon as I stepped out. I started running through the unfamiliar path. But I knew I'd break out soon.

After like fifteen minutes of running, an alarm suddenly blared out. My eyes widened and I came to an abrupt stop. That thing only comes on when there's an emergency.

Did they know I've gone already?

Branka’s POV The cold response he gave stuck with me for the rest of the hours I spent in the car with him. And in those hours, I slept, I woke up and I was still with him. The journey to wherever we were going was farther than I thought or expected. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around it. But I should be fine. Or maybe, that was what I thought. Then, suddenly, the car burst into the opening of a very wide, smooth road that led to somewhere beautiful ahead. My eyes started to follow the trees that were trimmed that lined the surrounding area of the place. I looked to my right but then I looked back very fast because he was sitting to that side of me and I did not want to make any eye contact with him at all. Or give him any impression that I was staring at him. I did not want to give myself away like that. It would not do me any good at all. I clutched my pearls and continued to look towards my front even though I could not see much. But from the vibe I was getting from thi

Branka’s POVI sat so still in the car that I was in at the moment that one would think that I was actually a mannequin. And I hope to every deity that my awkwardness was not showing. This was my first time in a car. Apart from the fact that I could tell that the car was posh and different from most of the ones that I’ve seen around, I felt as though if I moved around too much, I might stain the car with some invisible dirt that was always around me. I was clean and I knew it. In fact, I even smelled fresh since I had insisted on having my bath before going anywhere with him at all, but I still couldn’t get the feeling that I was not supposed to be in a car this fine. The leather was digging into my back and ass decently. And I could tell that this was the most luxury that I’ve had access to in my entire life. He was sitting beside me. Branka’s POVI sat on my bed in silence. My mind was blank and there was nothing coming. What the actual hell is going on and why do I feel like I would not even be able to have power over it? I breathed through my mouth and stood up gently, looking around the room. The bag that was taken from me when I was seized was here and I don’t even know how it got here. His jacket was sitting on the bed staring at me like an unknown entity. “This has to be a joke,” I mumbled to myself. A big fat joke. Like me. A small laugh butted out of me and I shook my head. I would never have thought or imagined that a day would come when a man would fight to have me and it would not be in a condescending way that would make me feel crappy but in a possessive kind of way that made it obvious that he wanted me. Or maybe it was all in my head and this was all ridiculous. “Calm down. Reality will come very soon.” I said again and then I jumped suddenly when the door to my room opened and the person who e

  • Hidden by the moon    Chapter Ten

Branka’s POVThe room was silent. If a pin was dropped, it would resonate in the whole place. My head was spinning. My heart was beating very fast from the effect of what had just happened that I could not wrap my head around. Did I just do that? Before I could wrap my head around that fact, a deep, rich laughter resonated through the room and I raised my head to look at him. He was laughing. I closed my eyes, thinking that would shield me from hearing the sound of his laughter but it did not do any such thing. I felt like it was good for allowing my emotions to get the best of me and allowed me to actually attack an alpha. And not just any alpha. The alpha king himself. I could have done this to anyone. Alpha Dorian. Even his puppets. But I never did. I never did. Now, my emotions bubbled over, and I slapped the alpha king in an attempt to irritate him and make him hate me. Maybe I was really a basket case that I was called because there is no other explanation for this. I step

Branka’s POV My eyes opened slowly. It took a while for me to process what was going on around me and by the time I did, my eyes widened in fear. This place was not strange to me but I did not come here of my own accord. So….Then there was a sudden rush of memory that came to me about what happened. I focused on what was going on around me, trying to ignore my beating heart. My alpha was being strangled against the wall and he looked like he would die if he was not released soon. I should shout or try to get help for him. That was supposed to be a default reaction of any pack member if their leader was in danger. But I do not feel anything. Not even a nudge. I stared at the scene like I was watching a movie. By the time the man who held him let him go and said something I could not get, he left the room, but before sending me a glare that sent shivers down my spine. The man turned and his eyes met mine and moved back unconsciously. His gaze held mine and I could not even fathom

Branka's POV I ignored the pain that I was feeling in my back and leg and concentrated on the task in front of me, not minding the gossips that was going on around me. Branka’s POVTears clouded my eyes as I ran with all of my might through the woods. It's been a while since I have been making a run for it trying to evade the predators that were coming after me.
