CHAPTER 3

Back in school a very beautiful woman who looks like she was in her early thirties walked into Nolan's office. Her gray coloured hair reaching her back

"Ah Miss Lucy welcome." Nolan greeted

"Your students are at it again." Lucy said without caring about courtesy and seating down.

"What do you mean?" Nolan asked slightly confused about Lucy's change of attitude

"You see Nolan, my entire stay in this institution I've always never spoken about bullying somehow it's normal for teens to pick on each other especially on the weak and innocent. But going as far as hurting someone is against the rules." Lucy said

Thinking Lucy was talking about the incident from the day before Nolan tried defending Audrey.

"Audrey didn't do it intentionally."

"I'm not speaking about Audrey. What she did yesterday was remarkable, yes. But using dark magic against another student is forbidden."

"Dark magic? I didn't know what you're talking about?"

"You sent some kids out for that volunteering work didn't you?" Lucy asked

"Yes I did but.."

"Audrey is badly injured." Lucy said

"What?"

"Yes, Josephine Walter and Liana Wolf used dark magic outside the school grounds." Lucy said

"They promised to be at their best behavior." Nolan muttered

"Nolan I'm still the vice principal of this school as a matter of fact since one of them is your daughter you'll leave the punishment to me it would only be fitting if I give out the punishment."

"As you wish. I'm not going to stop you." Nolan said he also believed his daughter had gone too far

"Good." Lucy said getting up

"What about Audrey? Can we help her?" Nolan asked

"If she's back we'll take her to the healers." Lucy said walking towards the door.

Maxine stood waiting for an answer.

"You know that we did." Josephine said

"You promised dad to be at your best behavior, and most especially staying clear off Audrey."

"Whatever." Josephine said nonchalantly

"You're so impossible. Audrey?" Maxine called out running towards Audrey

"Stay away from her." Greta said slightly angry

"She's my sister."

"Oh really maybe you should have thought of that before using dark magic." Greta said angrily

"I wasn't the one who did it." Maxine said defensively

"I don't care just back off." Greta said helping Audrey up

"I'm taking her back to the bus you three finish your portion." Greta said leaving

"But Audrey's hurt surely we can all go home now." Josephine said

"Surely you should have thought about your work before harming others." Greta retorted leaving with Audrey

"Josephine, Liana finish your work because I'm done with mine as well." Maxine said leaving

In the school bus Greta was checking Audrey's arms.

"I guess they really wanted to kill you." Greta said

"I'll be fine." Audrey said

"You sure?"

"This healing spell it can nullify that of black magic. Wanna try it with me?" Audrey asked two people casted the spell she might as well do the same

"Sure my magic surely need a lot more practice." Greta said and the both began chanting

"It worked." Audrey exclaimed

"Thanks Greta."

"It's nothing, I'm sorry." Greta apologized

"What for?"

"Being a bitch like everyone else. You're not as bad as they make you out to be." Greta said making Audrey chuckle

"They're just scared. If you're in the presence of what you don't know or understand. You'd be scared."

"But... Still after all these years, we should have all just tried to accept you."

"Even the nerd society didn't welcome me. I guess I was a nerd in a different nerd world." Audrey said making Greta laugh

"That's funny. But I guess we did make you feel that way." Greta said

"Thanks for everything Greta."

"No problem. I guess that makes us friends now."

"I guess." Audrey chuckled

Maxine walked in. She had over heard all their conversations and she felt sort of guilty

"How's your arm?"

"It's fine nothing to worry about." Audrey said coldly

"Okay." Maxine said after a short pause she added

"I'm sorry."

"I knew you were the one who casted the spell." Greta said

"It wasn't me but I'm apologizing on behalf of Josephine and Liana please don't report them to the school authority." Maxine pleaded

"If she doesn't I definitely would." Greta interjected

"Greta don't you know what would happen to them? They could get expelled."

"Exactly, they deserve it. I mean imagine her arms were unable to heal how do you want to keep that from the school authority without them investigating it themselves."

"Enough both of you. This isn't some school debate. Maxine I'm done being pushed over by you, Josephine and Liana. You know why I never tried hurting any of you? Or using my powers it wasn't because I was weak, or I couldn't fight back or that I was a coward. It was neither I was scared of hurting someone."

"Sounds like cowardice to me." Josephine said

"Call it what you want Josephine but get ready to dance to the music of your actions back in school." Greta said

"Oh, so you're the new mouth piece." Josephine mocked

"Josephine apologize you know what will happen if it gets reported that you used dark magic against a student." Maxine said

"I used it outside school. So even if a punishment is to be enacted I don't think it will be so steep. Besides where's their proof her arms are healed." Josephine said

"Josephine is right Maxine you should stop supporting her." Liana said

"If only you knew how much I despise you Audrey." Josephine said

"I wouldn't need to think too far you just tried to kill me."

"If I could I would. You took everything from me dad's love, Adrian you know how much I like him but because of you his so mean and distant."

"Adrian? I didn't take him from you I guess he stopped being your friend because he realized how despicable you are." Audrey said leaving Josephine speechless

"Watch your mouth Audrey." Liana said

"Was I talking to you? If you don't shut that hole in your face I'll snap you like a twig." Audrey said

"You.."

"Alright ladies take your seats we can leave now." The driver said and they all did as they were told

Heading back it was awfully quiet.
