“He has what?” She spoke to the person on the phone.
“Okay,” she said rubbing the junction between her forehead and beginning of nose, with her fingers.
“Thank you.” She said.
“He wants to see me?” She said and after a few seconds of silence. She looked at her wristwatch and, “okay bring him over and also make an appointment with his doctor,” she said and hung up the call.
“You seem a little bit off today.” A voice came from behind her. She turned around and saw one of her colleagues standing behind her and looking at her with concern written all over her face.
“Yes, Melvin is sick, I just got a call from his nanny,” She said looking at Lillian, her colleague.
“Don’t worry it will be okay.” She assured her.
“This is the second time. He had one a few days ago.” She said looking scared
JASONToday was the day, Inez will be working as my secretary. I didn’t know what to expect but I knew one thing for sure that she will give the best in whatever she does. I saw her performance record, she was excellent at what she does. I didn’t know how and what she will do, because she clearly stated that, she doesn’t like me and never respect me, which I will make her regret it. I wasn’t going to let her get away with that. Nobody talks to me that way. Nobody and she is just someone whom I met 2 days ago.I was in my car driving to the office. It wasn’t far but I decided to go there early and maybe plan a little surprise for my doppelgänger. I was still trying to wrap my head around how much she looked like Courtney. Every damn time I looked at her, I was reminded of the one person, I wanted to forget the most about. I had been trying to for months now.Courtney was everywhere. As much as I ha
JASONHer five minutes were up. I was waiting. For her to come inside and let me know her decision. I was quite confident that she will accept my offer. Who wouldn’t? I knew how much this job means to her and I was sure as hell going to keep her closer to me. I was going to get to the bottom of this doppelgänger mystery.I saw the door open. This is it. She entered. She produced herself very gracefully yet strong. Her eyes locked with mine and they held some sort of unknown fire in them. I was lost in looking at her eyes that, I couldn’t read the smirk that was plastered on her face.“So have you decided?” I asked. She pulled the chair out and sat in front of me crossing one leg over another.“Yes.” She replied without breaking eye contact.“What is it?” I knew what her answer was. A yes, to being my secretary.“No.&rdqu
InezI walked near his office. I was curling and uncurling my palms. I fucked up real bad. Why did I have to mess with him? I didn’t know what to do. I've got to learn how to keep my anger in control. I held the handle of the door to open it but I couldn’t. I moved back. What am I going to do?He will definitely fire me. But most of all will my apology be enough? I kicked him in his balls last night, I don’t think my apology will work. He will fire me and probably even give a very bad recommendation on my recommendation letter.I just didn’t know what to do. I kept pacing back and forth. I would go near the door and finally move back. I didn’t know how to talk to him. I probably have never been in such a tight situation. I couldn’t go in. What if he shows me out of the building after looking at my face? It's a good thing that I didn’t find my dismissal letter
InezI was late for work today. I barged into people just to get to the elevator before its door closed. I was really late. I was hoping I don’t get another warning. I was late for the second time this month. I was panting. Running in heels is seriously a daunting task. I looked up and turned my head to my right. There was a man standing next to me. I have seen him. He works here but on just a different floor. He passed me a smile. I inhaled deeply before returning the smile. It was very awkward as I’ve seen the man but never spoken to him. He always smiles whenever I passed. I didn’t know what to speak but as a cue, the elevator halted. I was saved from the awkwardness. I got out. My breathing was still erratic. I walked towards my cabin and placed my bag down. I sat down and tilted my head backward and closed my eyes. I heard someone open the door but didn’t bother to look up.“Hey, how was

Jason looked outside the glass that covered his office. The view was great, 20 stories above the ground. He was looking at the moving clouds. He held a pen in his hand, which he kept rolling between his fingers. He was lost in his own thoughts.Someone knocked on the door and entered. He turned his chair around to look at the person.“Sir you jet is ready,” Tom said as he looked at Jason. Jason nodded his head and got up from his chair and buttoned his jacket up before picking up his phone. He walked out of his office and sat down inside his car. He was taken to the airport. He kept a stoic face the whole time. He was too engulfed in his own thoughts. He was flying to Dallas. He had to fly down there to establish and see the working of the new company he just bought.JASONI looked out of the window I saw the sun burning up in the sky. It wasn&rsquo
