Savannah

Noah’s words were still ringing in my ears. I called the police. At first, it sounded like some cruel joke. Maybe that was because I wanted it to be. But when my eyes met Noah’s, I could tell for sure that this wasn’t a joke, and that was when everything went loose.

The room exploded after that. Leo cursed under his breath, shoving a chair back so hard it scraped the floor. I couldn’t sit still or even stand in one place. I was still processing what these words meant when I started pacing and circling the room, my heart thudding so loud I swore everyone could hear it.

“What the hell did you do, Noah?!” I snapped, my voice cutting through the noise. “What were you thinking?”

He stood there like a stone, arms crossed above his chest, and his face unreadable. But that calmness of his only made my blood boil hotter.

“I was thinking,” he said evenly, “that I’m tired of sitting back and watching everyone suffer because of me. It’s time I took matters into my own hands.”

I froze mid

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Test

SavannahAfter our meeting, Jack had informed me he’d find the perfect mole for this. The next morning, he was quick to deliver the news. “I found someone,” he said, his eyes glinting with that mix of pride and danger that always followed him around. “A mole. Someone inside Tyrant’s orbit who owes me a favor. They’ll get us closer than we ever dreamed.”On paper, it sounded like exactly what we needed. The missing piece of our plan. But as Jack explained, I barely heard him. My eyes kept straying toward Noah.He stood a little apart from us with his arms crossed and his face unreadable. To anyone else, he looked like he was just tired, maybe annoyed. But I had spent too much time around him not to notice the small things that said otherwise, like the way his jaw tightened when Jack spoke, the way his eyes kept shifting like he was somewhere else entirely.Ever since that night in the quad, when he reluctantly agreed to help me, something had been wrong. He wasn’t just distant, he was

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   A Risky Proposal

Savannah The drive back to campus felt different this time. My father’s words lingered in my head like an echo I couldn’t shake. ‘If you’re going to do this, then at least do it the right way.’To be honest, I didn’t know what the right way was, but I knew one thing for sure: I couldn’t keep circling around the edges of Tyrant’s world, waiting for him to strike again. He was already inside our lives, inside our family, and if I wanted to end this, I had to step into his territory before he swallowed us whole.By the time I reached my dorm, a plan was already forming in my head. Admittedly, it may have been reckless, dangerous, maybe even suicidal, you name it, but it was a plan. The first person I called was Jack. He didn’t waste any time and showed up fast, leaning against the brick wall outside the library, his usual smirk replaced with something heavier. “You sounded urgent.”“It is,” I said. “I called because what I’m planning is going to need both you and Noah. This isn’t someth

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   A Family Blindspot

SavannahI couldn’t sleep that night after I found Noah in my room. My head was filled with a lot of thoughts. Clara’s words were true. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it that way before. Tyrant was really trying to drive a wedge between me and Noah. But regardless, that didn’t affect or change much. There was still this silence between us, and now there was that damn news alert. All night, the words from the news alert replayed in my head like a cruel song stuck on repeat. ‘A Ford property raided. Masked men. Unknown motives.’ But I knew the motive. I knew exactly who had pulled those strings.Tyrant had crossed the line. And now, it wasn’t just me in the crosshairs. It was my family.By morning, I was exhausted, red-eyed, and still shaking when my phone buzzed with a text. It was short, sharp, and left no room for excuses.“Come home now, Savannah.” It was from my dad, and frankly, I wasn’t surprised when I saw it. I knew it was only a matter of time.I stared at the screen for

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Betrayal

SavannahWhen I saw Noah across campus earlier today, I completely froze in shock. I wasn’t ready to see him. Not yet. And honestly, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to. So why was my mind still spinning on this?Classes had ended hours ago, and I thought the distraction would help me get my mind off seeing him there, but it didn’t. Maybe it was the shock of seeing him there. I hadn’t even known he was out. One second, I was gathering my notes, trying to keep my head down, and then there he was, standing under the sun like nothing had happened. Our eyes met for a brief moment, so I knew for sure he saw me, but he didn’t make a move either. He hadn’t tried to talk to me. Maybe it was for the best.So I turned away, and I didn’t stop. I couldn’t. I’d turned my face, walked faster, and told myself I was fine. But the truth was, I wasn’t fine. Seeing him had cracked something open in me, something I’d worked hard to keep shut.By the time I pushed open the door to my dorm room, I was exhausted

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   Noah’s Return

NoahThe world outside felt different from what I remembered. They say being detained changes you, and I could testify that it was true. I’d taken a bold step and turned myself in, hoping that this would make all of this go away, even if that meant betraying Savannah’s trust and plans. I just couldn’t keep on with this anymore, knowing the dangers I’d put her in.After four nights locked in detention, the sound of traffic, footsteps, and chatter all clashed in my ears as I stepped back onto campus. Freedom was supposed to feel like air rushing into your lungs, like relief spreading in your chest. But it didn’t feel like that for me. If anything, it felt heavier. The guard’s words from earlier still rang in my head: “You’re on probation, Noah. Keep your nose clean if you don’t want to come back here for a few years.” As if it were that simple.I stood in one position for a long while, gazing at the busy campus life, and then heaved a deep sigh before walking across the quad, the late a

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Secret Meeting

SavannahI probably shouldn’t have sent that text, but it was too late to turn back now. The whole day, I’d been thinking about this situation, drumming up strategies, tactics, or anything I could do to not have to pay five hundred thousand dollars that I didn’t even have. But like I said, it was too late to turn back now. I had no other choice but to meet Tyrant and try to settle this. The night was too quiet. I made my way across the hallway of my dorm room, my bag slung across my shoulder, my phone clutched in one hand. I kept telling myself I shouldn’t be doing this, that sneaking off to meet the same man who threatened me was reckless. Stupid, even. But the thought of sitting still, of letting him hold the strings while I pretended not to notice, was worse. The air outside was cold and sharp, biting my skin as I walked. Every step felt heavier, like the weight of my choice was pressing down harder and harder the closer I got.The location he’d sent wasn’t flashy. No dark alley, n
