CASPIAN'S POV

I had just finished my work and was about to go home when a knock stopped me on my track.

I lifted my head to see Aslan behind the transparent glass doors.

Throwing my pen on the table I lean on my desk and mind link him to enter.

With a smile on his face, he pushed the door open and moved towards me with a yellow file in his hands.

“Alpha, the leader of the blue-eyed rogues asked for a meeting with you tonight. I just confirmed with your new PA that you are free as from four pm. Should I tell her to get ready by 3?"

I smirked hearing that my mate had finally decided to meet me after ignoring me for two days. She must have finished nursing her wounds from the agreement to ignore each other.

When she left my office two days ago with a large smile on her face, I thought she was different from all the other women. Turns out I was wrong because she ignored me for the next two days and I realized she wasn't as strong as she claimed.

Today I was going to see if she will be that confident and arrogant as before. The distance must have broken her down and today she will surely be less bold.

Focusing on my beta I nodded and lifted a questioning brow at the file he now had in his right hand.

“Well, this is the contract we signed with the human. He agreed to our terms and you have a meeting with him next week," he said giving me the file.

Sighing, I opened it and threw a glance after confirming that all the terms and agreement were correct I took my pen and signed.

“Give it to my PA on your way out, tell her I need four copies and she should give you two copies to keep."

I ordered in my usual cold. Remembering our worry for the moment,I stared at him and asked:

“Is there anything unusual about our security? I don't want to hear we lost another pup again."

He suddenly blanched and his knuckles tightened on the file:

“What is wrong?"I asked breaking the heavy silence that had fallen into the room.

“Yesterday gamma Nolan left the pack with his sister and her daughter. They came back this morning and the little girl had disappeared when they were busy picking apples in the garden at the borders."

His eyes had suddenly gone red and he was on the verge of tears, this was the first time I had seen him this broken.

“Since when did you get the news and why wasn't I aware of this incident? Worst if I hadn't asked, would you have kept quiet?"

Finally not holding back anymore a single tear streamed down his face and I realized the gravity of the situation. Why was my beta whom I know to be smiling during the toughest moments of his life

sobbing before me suddenly?

Standing up, I went round my working desk and stopped in front of him:

“What is wrong with you? Was the little girl found dead?"I asked trying to be as gentle as possible.

Closing his eyes he breathes in and out trying hard to control himself.

His eyes still closed he spoke through gritted teeth:

“Alpha, Lizzy was my mate."

My heart stopped my eyes widening, I asked confused:

“Are you talking of Nolan's sister or his niece?"

He chuckled bitterly:

“I know it's strange but I am talking of his niece. I discovered that last week when Nolan invited me to her fifteenth birthday party. I couldn't believe it but I was also grateful that the goddess had given a purpose to my life."

He paused and continued tears now streaming down his face:

“She could feel the bond but I thought she was too young so I promised to claim her at eighteen.

She agreed but being so stubborn she came to me as soon as she was free." he finished smiling.

Clenching my fist, I stared at the man who had been more than a brother for the past years.

I felt useless when I saw him crying and there was nothing I could do. Feeling powerless was new to me and for the first time in my life, I uttered the strange words I never imagined I'd say:

“I am deeply sorry Aslan. So, so sorry."

I emphasized pushing him into my arms that tightened around him as his head rested into the crook of my neck.

He went silent for a moment then he stepped away trying to be strong but I knew deep down there he was broken. Feeling worried I stared at him but Aslan being Aslan smiled through his tears and said:

“Don't be sorry Caspian. I can feel that my mate is alive and believe me I will search even if I have to go round the world, even if I have to give all my life to find her then I'll do that."

Pausing he stared at me with a determined face and fiercely said:

“Am never giving up on her.Never!"

He turned and left me standing boiling with anger

“Don't worry Aslan. We will find your mate and whosoever made the mistake of taking her away will pay dearly. He will beg for death to come, but it will be nowhere to be seen." I vowed silently, My wolf agreeing with me.

The latter had ignored me from the moment I told Tamsyn I didn't need her but I was finally happy to feel his presence today even though he wouldn't talk to me.

Unable to focus on my work,I mind-linked Aslan

“Tell Tamsyn that I need to see her in my office now. I have an important matter to discuss with her!"

“Yes Alpha!" he answered immediately.

I stood up from my desk and started pacing, with my heart racing. What can I do to stop this situation?

My people had never had to live in this kind of terror before because I have always done my best to protect them.

But this was becoming annoying and I had to

Keep my calm because that was the most important thing in order to be able to solve the mystery.

Checking my watch for the third time, I sighed.

Aslan had Ben gone for thirteen minutes now and he still hadn't come back.

Tired of waiting I mind-linked him:

“Where is she, Aslan? I have been waiting for a while now!"

It took a moment before he answered:

“Alpha, she said it is time for her to train so if you have anything to tell her you should keep it for the afternoon meeting."

I stopped on my track and released a shallow breath. Trying to process what Aslan had just said I gently rubbed my temple and sighed.

“Are you sure it is what she said?"

A pause and he answered:

“Yes Alpha"

Annoyed that I had just been ignored I headed for the training fields in long strides.

How could she? What was the meaning of this behavior? Was she angry because of our agreement? I couldn't believe she just ignored me.

I stopped at my PA's desk and ordered her to cancel all my meetings then continued my way.

I didn't pay attention to the panicked faces of my pack members until I knocked an omega trying to get out of my way.

Before I could say anything else, she fled.

Luna, I was losing my mind and it was because of Tamsyn. She had come a few days ago but she had the power to make me lose my temper.

“ I need to control my temper," I thought clenching my teeth.

Breathing in and out slowly I calmed down and continued my way. From afar I could hear female voices groaning. When I neared the fields, I slowed down and stopped occasionally to stare at them through the ion grills.

The females wore black shirts and leggings while the men wore black sports attire.

My mate was nowhere to be seen and I stood to observe their fighting strategy through the grills.

I witnessed the twins fight and I was mesmerized.

They attacked with precision and we're very agile in their defense.

My anger vanished, I smiled as one of the twins took her sibling down with a large grin on her face. Helping each other they moved away leaving the ground to the oldest whom Tamsyn had called Arden.

Wondering who would be his opponent, I removed my hands from my pocket and crossed them on my chest.

Her brown hair held in one braid, My mate entered wearing the same attire Like the other girls she held a timer in her right hand.

And I understood at that moment that she had been present all this time and she was timing the battles.

Giving The timer to the little boy that had, had the gut to look into my eyes two days before, She took a fighting stans.

He attacked, and she defended with precision.

I was shocked at how high she could jump, and her kicks were precise and strong.

I had trained females for years, and this was the first time I was impressed. I now understood why Anderson had been so sure of her.

They fought for close to thirty minutes but not even a strand of her hair, had touched the ground.

Realizing I was there, she asked her opponent to stop and he complied immediately.

With a sign of the hand, she asked me to come in while the others sat down to enjoy their meals.

To say I was stunned was an understatement.

With my best neutral face, I pushed the grill door open and entered.

She smiled and my heart skipped a beat. At least she was receptive today proving that our agreement had changed her.

“How are you doing Alpha? I am wondering why. the sudden visit. I thought you said we meet at 4 this afternoon." she said with a straight expression.

Chuckling lightly, I stared at the ground for a moment before staring at her:

“I just sent my beta to tell you to come to my office and you declined saying you were busy. I asked myself how you could be so bold when I canceled my meetings for you."

Her eyes widened:

“Luna! Alpha we are not switches that you can put on and off whenever you are pleased, I hope you know that. Immediately your beta told us what you said, we planned our day. I didn't think you would see it as being bold. But do you know what baffles me?"

She paused and chuckled sending a shiver down my spine:

“It's the fact that you have the gut to think we were to change our program just because you said so. I need you to understand we are on a mission here so we have better things to do than change our program for you" she finished through gritted teeth.

I observed this young beautiful lady and I wondered how a girl could be this stubborn. But mostly, I couldn't understand the sudden attraction towards her.

We stared at each other as if we were on a battlefield and that only increased my desire for her.

Observing us, one of the girls moved forward and stood beside her leader staring at me warningly.

Trying to fight the Attraction, I gritted my teeth and groaned:

“Fine, this afternoon at 4. Be there on time or I'll have to deal with you."

“Don't worry Alpha, we the blue-eyed rogues don't have the rising stars pack's blood running in our veins. It means we honor our promises." the redhead finished with a cold smile.

I finally turned and left trying to understand why I was strongly attracted to this type of girl when I swore to stay away from women. What was wrong with me?

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 23

**CASPIAN'S POV** I stood there, staring after my mate and the others as they left. The night resembled the usual pack nights, but there was something different and sinister about this one. An abnormal silence hung in the air, and the breeze was particularly cold. “There’s too much mix of scent in this place, so much so that it’s difficult to know who is who,” Delius remarked. The scents were intermixed, and I couldn’t even distinguish which scent belonged to which shape-shifter. Rapidly scanning the area, I decided to begin tracing even just one scent. For sure, this was a witch scent, but after a few steps, my efforts proved futile as the new scent disappeared in a mixture of others. This was the first time this had happened to me. Realizing that my efforts were not worth it, I decided to take a tour of my surroundings. The ground was dry, and I could feel sand beneath my paws. “What the hell really happened here? Why are there so many scents?” I wondered. “Wait a minute.

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 22

TAMSYN'S POVSitting on my messy bed, I couldn't stop thinking about Novalia. I struggled to understand her attraction to the mysterious Eric. He had no scent and seemed to vanish into thin air whenever I tried to track him. Each time I brought it up, Novalia would get mad and storm off, her focus drifting from our mission. What could I do to help her?*For now, we’ll just observe and see how things go. Get ready; we have to meet our mate tonight,* Mina urged, her tone impatient.“Are you still going for border inspection with the Alpha?” Arden asked, pulling me from my thoughts. Finally, he was breaking the silence.“Yes. He believes he’ll find clues for our case,” I replied, relieved he was finally speaking to me. I stood up and attempted to tidy the chaotic room.“Do you want me to come?” he offered, moving to help me clean.“If you’re okay with it, then why not? We’re collecting clues, remember?” I said, surprised by his proposal.A long silence followed as we fumbled around, orga

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   EPISODE 21

CASPIAN'S POVI sat in my study, waiting for my mate to arrive for the border inspection. She hadn’t reached out since our last conversation, and a pang of hurt settled in my chest. Yet, another part of me insisted she was simply busy. Maybe it was better to let her focus on her work.*After all, we’ll be meeting tonight, so there’s no need to worry too much,* Delius, my wolf, reassured me.I released a breath I didn’t realize I was holding and turned my attention back to my work. I clung to a flicker of hope that tonight would bring some clue—anything that might change the course of our case.“Alpha, the witches of the White Wing clans are here to check on your father,” Aslan’s voice echoed through the mind link.“They’re here already?” I pondered, recalling the wolf messenger I had sent just the day before. Their early arrival surprised me.*The sooner you deal with the problem, the sooner Mom will stop complaining about us not caring for Father,* Delius pointed out.My fingers tap

**TAMSYN'S POV.After closing the mate bond, I released a shaky breath and sank onto the gym floor, where I had been practicing with my cousins just moments ago. I had convinced them to stay and finish the mission, but I could still feel their lingering resentment. How could I tell them about Caspian when none of us acknowledged the bond?My mind drifted to my mate. Caspian had an inexplicable effect on me. Whenever he was near, I lost focus. Now that the mate bond was open and we could share thoughts, his presence destabilized me more than ever.I recalled our recent conversation. I had managed to persuade Caspian to give me time to explore our bond. I was undeniably attracted to him, yet I hesitated to accept mating. The reason was clear: I had to find my parents' murderer.*But our mate is one of the most feared alphas among werewolves. Mating him isn't a bad thing; he can protect us in our quest for revenge,* Mina chimed in, breaking through my thoughts.I closed my eyes, frustrat

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 19

**CASPIAN'S POV**I stared at the files before me. Something was just off about the entries and exits from the pack. The number of people with identities of visitors registered within the pack was far greater than those registered at the entry gates. This meant the registers of visitors at the northern and southern gates were falsified. Many people had entry permits for the southern gate, yet most of their names weren't found on the registers for that gate.*Another shady business is going on in our pack. It's not just the kidnapping of our pups. Something I can't quite place my finger on is happening. The increase in visitors makes it easy to overlook our pack members' disappearances,* Delius remarked. *Also, what if something else is being smuggled in and out of the pack?* he asked after a moment.I could feel his worry, and that made me nervous.I continued reading the files and gasped, realizing the number of visitors for the current month."Why the sudden increase in visitors to

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 18

**TAMSYN'S POV**I stopped in front of the huge glass door to our bedroom. I could feel my cousins' worries through the now-opened bond. Taking a moment to think about what to tell my siblings, I tried to smooth my ruffled hair. *It's time to tell them the truth about our mate,* Mina, my wolf, interrupted."Do I really have to tell them?" I pondered.*Remember that we never hid anything from each other,* she warned me."I am just... not ready, you know," I replied hesitantly.*You have to, little human,* she insisted before going silent again.Releasing a sigh, I pushed the door open. As expected, they awaited my arrival. The room was in disarray."Goddess, I was prepared to break into his room if you didn't show up in 30 minutes," Arden said, his eyes filled with relief. He had puffy eyes, suggesting he might not have slept much. The twins sat on the bed, and Novalia stood in the corner of the room. Cruz and Arden were both standing in the middle of the room. I walked up to them.

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 17

CASPIAN'S POVI woke up the next day to find Tamsyn peacefully sleeping in my arms. She looked like an angel lying there. A smile formed on my lips. The full moon may have taken us by surprise, but it seemed to be a blessing in disguise. Not only did Tamsyn come to me, but she had also surrendered herself to me. Although she wasn't ready to be marked, it hadn't stopped us from discovering each other.Knowing that the full moon's effect on us was very strong and that any penetration would lead to marking, we focused solely on pleasuring each other. She stirred, murmured something inaudible, and went back to sleeping. How beautifully the goddess had created my mate!Lying with her back to me, I could feel a sense of warmth and peace radiating from her. Her beautiful hair was scattered on the pillow.I moved closer, my nose settling at the base of her slender, pale neck. Breathing in her scent, I felt content. This was the most beautiful moment of my life.If only I could stay there with

TAMSYN'S POVOnce Caspian was carried to his chambers, I tried my best to calm down but it wasn't working. Tired of passing around in the pack house gym, I finally went out to look for Aslan or Nolan to hear from them as to what could have possibly happened to my mate.I didn't have to far before meeting Aslan who headed my way with a smile;"What is wrong with your Alpha? Why did he suddenly faint?"I asked as soon as I stood before him."I don't know what to say. He is not feeling well," he replied hesitantly his eyes never meeting mine.Silence enveloped us as I tried to calm down my erratic breathing. My heart was racing faster than ever. Was it Capian's situation or something else was wrong?"Are you ok Miss Tamsyn? You are pale," Alan asked his voice full of concern. How to explain to him that his alpha's situation was terrifying me?"Can I see your Alpha?"I asked avoiding his question."I don't think it would be possible because he is not well and I doubt he would be able to talk

  • His ASSASSIN LUNA   CHAPTER 15

CASPIAN'S POV Walking to the dungeon with my mate in front of me, I felt happier than I could ever be. Her hair dangled to the rhythm of the gentle breeze. I felt the need to keep my fingers in those beautiful brown tangles. "Why is it that every time we walk around no one wants to stare at you? Everybody seems so afraid of you," she asked stopping to stare at me as I joined her. "I am their alpha and of course, they have to respect me, "I replied ignoring the dark stare she gave me. "Are you sure about that?" she queried and I nodded positively. A moment of silence went by before she finally told me what was on her mind: "I heard you killed many of your assistants just because they didn't do the work well or if you wanted them and they refused, then you killed them," "Luna! Tamsyn !"I groaned hearing what rumors about me. If someone else had said it, I wouldn't have protested but in the case of Tamsyn, it didn't sit well with me. I could feel anger rising in my veins.
