CHAPTER 1

CASPIAN'S POV

«Caspian?I will never forgive nor forget the fact that you were present but you didn't save me."my brother Atticus said.Standing in front of me in his younger version,his pale lips twisted evilly.

“But what If I couldn't Atti? What if I tried but I couldn't?"My younger version pleaded.

“It doesn't matter anymore. It's in the past." he roared and I shivered.

“But if it is all in the past then why can't you forget?" my younger self pleaded.

" I will have forgotten if it was someone else but you Caspian, you are my blood. Reason why,I can't forget, and believe me brother you have to pay."he finished in a cold voice.

His laughter reverberated while he disappeared.

A chill traveled down my spine and I opened my eyes only to realize, I was having my usual nightmare. It was just a nightmare but less scary than others.

My name is Caspian di Luca, Alpha of the 'Rising Stars pack'. My parents Ashton and Katana di Luca are known for their unique skills with sword fighting.

I became Alpha at 18 then conquered almost 7/10 of packs in Europe. At 25 today I am one of the most feared and respected alpha. I was supposed to be contented and happy but all I felt was loneliness and remorseful.

Worst I felt like I failed to save the most important person in my life “my twin Atticus".

Rolling on my bed, my feet landed on the marbled floor.I sat on the bed my trembling hand tightening on the soft white bedsheet.

I lifted my head to stare at his large framed picture on the wall.

Atticus di Luca was my twin and contrary to other siblings we shared the strongest bond.

We both had green eyes and brown hair.It was always a game to identify one of us. Unfortunately, one evening while we were playing in the garden, Men came out of nowhere and kidnapped him. My little world crumbled.

My young brain had remembered them and they haunted me for years. I was so broken that I swore to one day make them pay for it. But my brother had become a nightmare. As years passed, the kidnappers were nowhere to be found.

All I could do was blame myself for everything that happened. Still staring at his picture I wondered if he was still alive. If he was alive then while will he keep hunting me? It remained a mystery.

Standing up, I walked to my bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day.

When I came back to the room, an Omega's scent lingered in the room. The well-dressed king-sized bed had a business suit neatly laid on it. Still dripping, I took my time to dry my hair.

Then a knock sounded on the door.

“Enter" I ordered calmly.

My beta's scent filled the air. I turned to find him in jeans and a blue T-shirt. His dark hair was still wet.

“Alpha, good morning. How are you?" he asked smiling.

I raised a brow at him wondering why he was so happy. He and I became best friends over the years we passed together as alpha and beta.

He was the only one who could tease me without getting his head snapped off his shoulders. I continued dressing.

“I am okay Aslan. What makes you so happy?"

“Well, your mom brought a faraway cousin for the weekend." he replied.

I remained silent. Was Mother trying to play matchmakers again?

“What is her name?"I asked still controlling my temper while I pretended to be fixing my hair in front of the mirror.

“Erica. She was so eager to see you again. I wondered why ? Isn't she aware of how many she wolves you killed this week" he continued in a teasing voice.

I ignored him.After tying my laces I stood up.

“What is our program for today?"

“We have a meeting with the human billionaire "

“Derick Ferguson? I thought he had refused our terms.Why are humans sometimes so arrogant?"I asked outraged.He had the nerve to come back after all the drama he caused the last time we had a meeting.Working with him won't be a good idea.

My pack as the wealthiest pack in the region had large companies. We owned mines in which I worked with humans to extract resources mostly gold. It made us interact with humans easily, and it was our main source of income.

“Don't worry I took care of that. Then we have to meet alpha Denise and his beta. He wants a partnership with us."Maybe working with wolves wouldn't be a bad idea after all.

“Anything else?"

“You were supposed to meet the alpha of the blue moon pack but your mother cleared your schedule so that you could spend time with Erica"

Finally, my question was answered. It was a setup again by Mother.

Remembering to keep my temper in check I smiled:

“Let's go for our meeting first."

“What is this evil smile? Please you have killed 4 girls this week already. If you want to kill this one, better inform the Luna that you aren't interested" Aslan hurried to advise.He was worried about my image again but I really didn't care.

Ignoring him, I turned and headed for the door.His light steps on marbled floor told me he was just behind me.

We walked through the luxurious corridor then downstairs to find Mother sitting with Erica having breakfast.

I remember her as a girl with blond hair and blue eyes. But today, she had black hair, her blue eyes still intense as ever.

Mom stood up, walked to me then hugged me;

“Erica has come to meet you, behave."

Yeah that was mother.Showing how much she loved me to the world while always reminding me how bad of an alpha I was or how much my brother will be a better alpha if he was alive.

I remained quiet as the girl moved forward and smiled seductively.

“oh, Caspian.It is good to finally see you again."

Keeping my lips tight I whispered:

“It is good to see you too Erica. If you will excuse me, I have a meeting now"

Ignoring my mother's warning glare, I took long strides with Aslan following behind closely.I was not in the moods for her tantrums

My driver opened the door for me, I slid inside.

My stomach choose that moment to growl,

Oh no! I was hungry.

Aslan who sat beside me couldn't hide his smile.

Fifteen minutes later we reached the company, and I headed for my office.

As usual, everyone was busy just like I preferred.

When I entered, the slight bearing of the neck by each member of my staff was ignored.

I entered the lift while Aslan stopped to grab food for me. Glancing at my watch, I still had an hour for my meeting so I headed to my office.

My secretary Aline whom I had employed two weeks before was nowhere to be seen but her scent was faint in the air.

Wondering where she could have gone to, I headed to my office and pushed the ion door open after punching in the code.

The scent of my secretary finally welcomed me.I unexpectedly choke at the smell of her arousal.

“What the hell ?"I mumbled still trying to help myself from choking to death.

“Aline sat on the table her bare back to me and her black hair held into a bun.

I stepped forward and realized she was naked. Her blue clothes and underwear lay on the floor.

Then It dawned on me that she sat on my working laptop.

She turned and smiled at me:

“Good morning alpha.Like what you see?"

Goddess Luna, the atmosphere was so pungent.

Briefly staring around the room to see if I could have water I said:

“Aline I would pretend as if I did not see you. Wear your clothes and go back to your duty post"

“Come on alpha. You know you like what you see just come and have a taste." she insisted.Goddess, how I hated repeating myself.

I turned to her to see her play with her nipples.I felt like throwing up.

Finally, for the first time in the day, my wolf Delius spoke:

“Kill ! Destroy!. She has no respect"

She came down from the table and slowly walked my way taking.

“Make me a woman alpha. That is all I asked of you.Don't you want to taste me?"

At this rate I felt like being strangled, I wondered why her arousal was this pungent.

I smiled and her face darkened:

“Who will hate to taste such a beautiful body such as yours?"I muttered caressing her neck and she made the mistake of baring it to me.

My teeth elongated and I plunged them into her soft neck. I smelled her fear in the air but it was too late to stop me.

My claws elongated, I used them to break her spine as I tore her throat open with my canines.

Her blood oozed out soaking my tuxedo.

The choking smell suddenly started fading while her lifeless body fell on the floor. I released a heavy breath. Goddess Luna, this felt better.

Before I could go to the restroom, Aslan entered holding a plastic bag.

When he saw her on the floor his smile vanished:

“What did you do Caspian? What the hell did you do?"

“Please dispose of this trash and no one should come to this office for now"I ordered firmly taking the bag from his hand.

He was stunned. I asked myself why.It wasn't the first time it was happening. I wasn't a bad person either, I just hated repeating myself.

I went to my private restroom, undressed, and had a shower.Then I came into the dressing room to wear clean clothes.

I came back to the office to find everywhere clean as I had ordered. Her scent was still faint in the air.

Aslan was pacing the room, when he saw me he sat down:

“What did you do that for? What did she do?"

Before I could answer my phone rang and I picked:

“Hello. I have good news for you"Alpha Anderson's voice said at the end of the line.

“Anderson. What good news can you have for me this morning?"I asked calmly.

“You have visitors precisely the blue-eyed rogues.

They will be there by tomorrow morning. They are coming for the mission on our case."

“When you said someone could do the work, I never expected them to be rogues. Those people don't follow the rules. I won't like disorder in my pack . What if they can't handle it?"

His chuckle surprised me:

“We are talking of the most dangerous group of rogues. As for handling the case, they handled the “‘Claudius and the ‘Katanga' case. I am wondering if you aren't the one who will be able to handle that woman"

“A woman?"I asked baffled.

“Their leader is a woman. So she gave her rules;

They hate dogs,so no dogs.

They don't eat anything concerning mollusks.

They hate disrespect, so remember to warn your pack members, please. I had difficulties in convincing her. So you better consider my pleas."

A woman with so many rules? Was she another whining she wolves I'll have to deal with?

“Ok, I have heard you. Is there anything she else needs?"I asked losing patience.Rogues in my territory?I just couldn't believe it.

“She will tell you once she reaches your territory. Can I count on you?"he asked ,his voice hopeful.

“Yes. I will do my best to help. Thanks for taking action as soon as possible."

“No need for that brother. We are all losing our pups, and this is dangerous as they are just innocent souls. "

Anderson was an ass sometimes, but he cared for all werewolves . And that made us friends.

I turned to Aslan whose face was full of worry.

“What is wrong alpha?" he queried .

“Prepare the northern suite, we have visitors. Then Please search for a PA for me."I ordered. I sat down my brain still replaying what Anderson had said: “A woman was the one who had solved the Katanga case? The most dangerous werewolf we have ever known? Then this lady seems rather interesting."

“Alpha I suggest you eat. You have ten minutes before your meeting" my beta said interrupting my thoughts.

“Let's head for the meeting room, I lost my appetite,"

We finally headed out, my heart racing. Who was this woman?
