Karistus's judgment

Connor called Damon immediately and told him about Luther, "He's my Dad man, I don't think I can do it." There was a muffled conversation in the background, and then he was back on the line. "Yeah, we understand that it's a tough one, so Lisa and I will head down. I'll bring Knox with me, just in case."

Connor knew what that meant, sometimes the fallen didn't go down easily, and it required more than one enforcer to claim them. If Damon was bringing Lisa, that could only mean her wolf, Karistus, was expecting trouble. After he hung up, Connor wondered how he would explain things to his mother or the pack, for that matter. A brisk knock at the door stalled his thoughts as he wondered who would be calling in now.

Sighing deeply, the young Alpha got up and went to answer it, but as he drew closer, the judge's gavel began burning, and his gut dropped as Connor realized who was on the other side. There was no sense prolonging things. Luther did have a key, after all.
