Chapter 13: Meeting Mia Andrews

It was half past Eight and night had already wrapped the city of Toronto under its dark wings!

A beautiful tall girl in her twenties was standing at the Toronto Airport terminal-G waiting for someone. She was wearing black jeans and a T-shirt, which made her look really naive.

She didn't wear any makeup but it didn't stop people from admiring her beauty. She was standing with her luggage, looking at her watch from time to time.

Fuoco was not good at waiting and it really did  make her loose her calm, if anybody made her do so.

If it was a matter for 15 minutes, it was fine but she had been waiting there for past forty minutes and there was no sign of the person who was supposed to be there to pick her up.

Fuoco calmed herself down, thing's have changed now and she would have to change too.

She can't behave like the young Miss of the SAMRAT family. She had to behave like a normal person with patience. She was already under the debt of these people. They were helping her without the expectation of any favour to be done in return.

So, she diverted her mind and engaged herself in doing some research about the university and the city she was going to live in.

Toronto was a big city and people here were busy all the time.

She kept searching the web and note down some important points that could be of her benefit in the future.

When it was almost past one hour since she had been waiting, she thought there might be something wrong.  She was not having Mia's number, so, she decided to call Dr. Andrews for the same.

Fuoco was about to call Dr. Andrews but was stopped in her tracks when she heard somebody calling her name.

She lifted her head to look around and saw a girl standing some metres away from her. She was drenched in sweat and painting heavily. When she saw Fuoco looking towards her, she waved at her asking if she was Fuoco. To this Fuoco nodded her head in affirmation.

She then rushed towards Fuoco and said while grasping for breath "Hi! ...i am Mia .....sorry for the delay...its the traffic you know...

Fuoco interrupted her and said "It's okay, Mia...calm down! I know you must be having your reasons and from your looks I can deduce you tried quite hard to reach here"

Fuoco smiled to assure the girl that she was not mad at her and offered her water, which the girl took quickly to hydrate herself.

Mia was 5'4"which was slightly shorter than Fuoco. She was neither too plum nor too thin, she was just perfect. Just like Fuoco, she was also wearing jeans and T-shirt. She had a pair of bright green eyes, dark brown hairs and fair skin.

She was beautiful although not as much as Fuoco but enough to attract admiration from people around her. Mia was almost of the same age as Fuoco and instantly started liking Fuoco for how she cared for her from their first interaction. She admired the fact that the latter was not arrogant despite being heavenly beautiful.

As, it was already late, so Mia quickly hired a taxi to go to their apartment.

While on the way, Mia told Fuoco that she got to know about her from her father and that she would be helping her with her studies as they were classmates as well.

Fuoco listened to Mia carefully and replied only whenever required. She was able to conclude that Mia was a pure- hearted girl and felt comfortable with the thought that she had a support now.

Although, she had to be careful to keep her secrets from her as they were going to live under same roof which increases the chance of Mia suspecting her.

Dr. Andrews had told Mia about the condition of Fuoco and that made Mia pity the poor girl, but she made sure not to let Fuoco feel that and refrained from asking her anything about her past.

Fuoco who was following her words closely also noticed this and couldn't help but feel touched at the gesture.

They had hardly known each other for past thirty minutes and this girl was already caring about her.

Fuoco asked some general questions about the university and Mia replied to her every question  in a sweet and friendly manner.

They picked food from a nearby restaurant as it was quite late and they had to attend classes the next morning, so cooking was not a good idea.

Once they reached the building where MIA's apartment was, they got off and paid the Taxi driver.

Mia lead the way and Fuoco followed her. Her apartment was in a tall 40-storey buliding. They went inside to enter a lift and Mia pressed the buttons for 21th floor, where her apartment was.

Once they reach their destination, Mia took out her purse to look for keys.

Fuoco was standing next to her and was looking at the apartment opposite to them on the same floor. There was a name plate " The Kevin's" on it.

When Mia saw her looking there, she told her that nobody lived there. Infact, she had seen the owner only once or twice.

Fuoco didn't say anything, infact it was good there was noone living next to them. In the building there were only two apartments on each floor. So, as no one was living next door meant less of invasion of their privacy.

While, Fuoco was examining the surrounding's carefully, Mia unlock the door of her apartment and welcomed Fuoco inside.

It was a small but comfortable apartment, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and  a furnished living area with a balcony attached to it.

The interior of the apartment was also good. Mia told Fuoco that she was living with a friend earlier but then a month back she moved-in with her boyfriend, so, she was left to live in this apartment all by herself.

This apartment was quite near to the university, and they can either walk or take a bus. It was hardly twenty-five minutes away by foot and if they took a bus it would take Ten minutes.

Mia helped Fuoco in setting-up her room and wardrobe. Although, there wasn't much stuff but it still needed to be arranged.Mia even decided a dress for her to be worn the next day for her first class.

Fuoco's room was having a king-sized bed, a study table, her wardrobe, her dressing table, and an attached washroom. It was a comfortable room with a large glass window with beautiful curtains. She removed the curtains to look at the beautiful view in front of her eyes. Although, whole city was not visible but whatever portion of the city was visible, there was just one word for it... SPLENDID!

Mia's room was an exact replica of Fuoco's room.

So, both the rooms looked alike except for the interior. Mia's room was full with lot's of stuff while Fuoco's room looked quite empty in the comparison.

They ate their dinner and went to their respective rooms to sleep.

Fuoco went to take a shower and changed into her pyjamas before snuggling into her bed. She was deadly tired and fell asleep instantly.
