"I'll go," Lokie muttered, the words barely left her lips as she forced them out.

Gorge froze, paused and turned to the young girl that was all covered in blood. Almost like she just escaped a blood bath.

"Take me instead." She added.

A smile spread on his lips, he let out a knowing laughter.

"And how can I trust it?" He pointed out, "you aren't exactly one to be trusted"

Lokie bit her lower lips, the urge to close the distance between them and snap his neck out of his body was like a needle buried in her flesh.

She wanted to laugh, and tell him he couldn't truly trust the words that left her lips but then, she caught sight of Dawn, held captive with the sharp edge of the knife resting on her neck.

A prickle of blood ran down her skin.

Dawn stared pleadingly at Lokie, silently begging her not to do anything stupid.

"Fuck!" Lokie cursed, hating how much she wanted to end all of them but couldn't.

Her eyes found Dawn again and without thinking, she let down her guards. Her knife fell on the floor, three men rushed up and grabbed her holding her in position.

A soft chuckle escapes her lips as she watches them do everything it takes to hold her in place. And in truth, she wasn't sure they would stop her from killing if she wanted to.

"Fucking let her go!" She growled again.

They bind her hands behind with a rope and force her to sit. They tighten her to the chair.

"Not so fast," George pushed Dawn on the floor and stepped on her head, forcing her to face the floor.

"I can't be sure you'd do exactly what I want" he paused, swung the knife around his finger before holding it firmly, "until then, I'll make sure she stays locked up."

"Bastard!!" Lokie roared and tried to move but the rope binding her to the chair kept her rooted.

"Call me whatever," George groans in utmost satisfaction, "as long as you are going to make this deal work, then I'm cool with everything."

Lokie was about to speak when George signaled to the guard that stood next to her and before she knew it, his hand landed hard against the back of her neck and the rest was blurry and darkness.

She didn't know how long it took, but when she woke up again, she was in a partially dark room but not in the same dress.

Her blood stained dress was changed to a white dress at knee level. George stood right next to her and Dawn, to her left.

The first thing she did was meet Dawn's eyes and silently inquire if she was already.

As if understanding, Dawn nodded.

Only then did relieve rushed down her spine. He took in a deep breath then faced the closed door in front of her.

"If you obediently get married to Enzo without causing a scene, I give you my word to let Dawn live a normal life and never interfere with her life again." He assured.

But Lokie wasn't a fool to believe and rely only on his words.

"I can't be trusted," she looked up and found his sternly composed face, "and so are your words."

She knew George, he was her father. The man who had birthed her and trained her to be merciless and a killer.

Everything she knew was taught by him, and never had he ever seen her as a daughter. Except now of course, that he wishes for forge alliance with the Moretti's.

"As expected." He echoed.

The door behind pushed opened and one of his guards walked in and handed him a contract.

"Here, sign." He informed.

Lokie was about to deny when George said.

"Dawn confirmed everything in it, signed and let's get this over with." He pressed.

Lokie looked up and Dawn nodded. Taking that as a yes, she went ahead and signed the contract believing it's the only way to set her sister free from her father's hold.

"Good, now, let's proceed." George informed.

The large door in front of them creaked open and they were greeted by the sight of men in black, all lined up at the entrance like a pole of statues designed to decorate the room.

They walked past the wall of men and stopped before a man in a grey suit. His back facing them, but from the look of things, he was well built with heavily broad shoulders.

She watched George led Dawn to a corner. They stood in silence and waited for God to know what.

"Everything ready?" A heavy voice echoed from behind her. She couldn't turn so she waited for the man to approach.

An old man of his late fifties walked past her and stopped next to the man in a grey suit. She couldn't tell whom her supposed husband was so she asked.

"Okay, so...who am I going home with?"

Both men turned to her, both held the same level of stun and intrigued as they stared at her.

For a bride to be, she was bolder and certainly not the type of wife Enzo had imagined. He'd thought his wife would be meek, obedient and respectful. Not the woman who would give him more headaches added to his every day's problem.

"Certainly not me" Elias whispered with a half smile tugged on his lips, "because I'm going to be your father in law."

"So, it's you?" She turned to Enzo. A knowing smile lingered on her face as she watched him like a lesson plan laid before her.

Enzo didn't respond, rather, he looked away.

The priest came forward, a young man of his mid twenties with red hair and a tattooed face that looked nothing like a priest.

His eyes flickered with something sinful when he gaze found Lokie before he smiled and turned to Enzo.

"Let's get you married, brother."

One of the men in black that stood like a decorated statue moved and pushed her wheelchair forward and stopped when she was next to Enzo.

The priest spoke, just kike priest do. Lokie heard nothing and only chanted the chorus that was required of her. So did Enzo. He didn't bother sparing her a glance.

"I now pronounce you, husband and wife." The priest announces, "you may now, kiss your bride." He winked at Enzo who growled before turning to Lokie.

"Don't expect me to be gentle." He didn't give her time to get herself ready and kissed her.

But Lokie did the unthinkable, she bit his lips hard. Pain erupted in Enzo, he pulled away just in time but ended up tearing the corner of his lips, thanks to her.

"Psycho bitch!" He cursed, blood spilling all over his white sleeve.

Lokie licked her bloody lips, and groaned in satisfaction. "Now, we are married." She said, the voice filled with satisfaction and smiles.

"Husband?"

Fifteen minutes dragged by. Lokie stayed perched on the washing machine, thumbs flying across her phone screen. Then her fingers froze mid-scroll. She set the device down with a soft click, hopped off, and her bare feet met the cool floor with a gentle thud.A slow, mischievous smile crept across her face. She rubbed her hands together, eyes sparkling with wicked excitement, like a kid about to unwrap the best gift ever.“Let’s go cause some disaster,” she whispered, a soft giggle bubbling up as she slipped out of the laundry room and into her assigned bedroom. She dragged all her luggage across the hall and straight into Enzo’s room. The door wasn’t even locked. Of course it wasn’t—he’d probably stormed out in such a rush after seeing the mess she’d left everywhere that he forgot.“My luck,” she murmured, her smile widening into something bright and triumphant. She pushed inside and headed directly for his closet. His clothes hung in perfect order—suits arranged by preference, everyt

"How... dare you..." Lokie's voice cracked.A single tear traced a hot, stinging path down the corner of her eye, before she could stop it. She hated it immediately . She was supposed to be unbreakable. She had swallowed worse pain than this without flinching: the ropes biting into her wrists in the frozen blind spot of Suzuki’s secret room, the cold promise of death in Raman’s eyes. Those had been sharp, clean agonies she could endure. This was different. It sat heavier in her chest. Embarrassment burned through her, anger twisted inside her, and something else lingered beneath it that she refused to acknowledge.fury that twisted like a knife in her gut, and something heavier she couldn’t even name. Her throat tightened until breathing hurt."“You should be happy,” Enzo said, his voice low, dark, and edged with something dangerous that made the air feel thicker. He held her gaze for a long, unbearable minute, eyes boring into hers like a warning carved in stone. “Stop.”The sing

  • His Beautiful Nightmare: From Chaos to obsession.   Chapter 4

Lokie had followed Enzo to the company on purpose, a wicked little spark of satisfaction burning in her chest. She knew he’d hate the chaos she was about to unleash, but that was exactly the point. A carefully wrapped package of payback for the night he’d left her tied to that damn wheelchair, freezing in the vast living room while he slept warm behind a locked door. Her body still remembered the deep ache in her shoulders, the numbness in her fingers, the cold that had seeped into her bones. What she was about to do was nothing compared to that. And if he kept crushing her pride under his heel, she had plenty more “gifts” ready. She didn’t slide off the table. Instead, she lowered herself gracefully into a seated position right there in the center, legs crossed neatly like she was offering prayers at a temple. Her gaze locked straight onto Enzo’s face, that bright, unwavering smile still curving her lips as if the blood on the table and Milton’s whimpers were just background noise

  • His Beautiful Nightmare: From Chaos to obsession.   Chapter 3

Enzo leaned back in the tall, expensive leather office chair at the center of the long conference table, the cool material creaking faintly under his weight. The room smelled of polished wood, aged whiskey, and the faint undercurrent of expensive cologne from the men seated around him. Their voices rose and fell in heated discussion, but the words barely registered. His mind was elsewhere, tangled in the chaos that had stormed into his life like a hurricane.Lokie. That woman wasn’t just a handful—she was a goddamn wildfire wrapped in unpredictable madness. He couldn’t shake the image of her at the altar: those wild eyes gleaming as she sank her teeth into his lip, then slowly, deliberately licking the blood from her own mouth like it was the sweetest victory. The spark of fearless hunger in her gaze had sent a chill down his spine even as rage boiled in his chest. And the way she spoke—loud, unfiltered, cutting through silence like a blade. He still couldn’t believe he was shackle

  • His Beautiful Nightmare: From Chaos to obsession.   Chapter 2

Enzo stared at the crimson stain blooming across his shirt, the metallic tang of blood sharp in the air. No one had ever made him bleed. Not his father with his iron fists, not his siblings in their vicious power plays, and certainly not the enemies who had tried and failed. But *she* had. This woman he’d been forced to marry in a mockery of a ceremony. His jaw tightened until it ached. She was a walking death wish, and he was more than ready to grant it.“Husband?” Her voice cut through the heavy silence like a blade wrapped in silk—light, almost playful. A smile curved her lips, bright and unhinged, nothing like the demure bride he had steeled himself for.She looked like chaos barely contained in white lace. Eyes too sharp, posture too still, as if the calm were a mask stretched thin over something feral.“Fuck you,” Enzo snarled, the words ripping from his throat raw and venomous. He turned on his heel and stormed out, the door slamming behind him with a crack that echoed through
