Chapter 42 : Shattered hopes

Pari usually had a habit of calling home early in the morning as she would be tired after work. As usual she was about to dial her mother's number when her mother herself called Pari. They talked about each other's daily life. Pari thought it was the right time to talk about Ian since her mother's mood seemed to be alright.

"Maa. How's everything in Pune? "

"Everything is fine baccha.... You know... Nisha's engagement has been fixed. If you get time you could join us."

Pari was not even interested in Nisha and her engagement. Forget attending it, she didn't even want to think about it. But right now her priority was talking to her parents about her life and her love.
