JAXSON

I lifted her, and she wrapped her legs around my waist. I didn’t break the kiss. Her hands were tangled in my hair, pulling me closer, kissing me like she needed it as much as I did.

I set her down on the chair, our lips still locked, breathing hard. My forehead rested against hers for a second, and my fingers brushed along her chin. That’s when she saw my knuckles, split open and bleeding. She caught my hand gently, her brows furrowed.

“What happened? You’re bleeding.”

“I’m fine,” I muttered, leaning in to kiss her again. My hands slid up her thighs, tracing her skin. I didn’t want to think about anything else, just her. Her breath, her warmth, the way she made me forget. But I couldn’t. Not completely. No matter how hard I tried, Cole’s words kept echoing in my head. My father caused her father’s death.

The guilt twisted inside me, dark and heavy, but I kissed her harder, desperate, rough, and hungry. She unbuckled my belt, pulling my pants down, her eyes never leaving mine.

  • His Biker Girl, Her Biker Prince.   Chapter 42

TessaThe smell of pasta still lingered faintly in the air as we sat together on the couch, a blanket wrapped around our legs. My iPad rested on my lap, a movie playing quietly. Normally, Jaxson would have made some joke by now, teasing me for watching romantic movies and not knowing how to be romantic just to annoy me.But today, he was quiet. Too quiet. He sat there beside me, one arm draped along the back of the couch, his eyes fixed on the screen but not really watching it. His thumb moved slowly against his knee, like his mind was somewhere else entirely.I turned my head to look at him. The faint bruise on his jaw was still visible from the fight, and his knuckles were healing. But that wasn’t what bothered me. It was the way he looked right now — distant, cold, heavy, like something inside him was tearing apart and he was trying to hide it.“What’s wrong?” I asked softly. His gaze stayed on the screen. “Nothing.”“Jaxson,” I said again, lowering the iPad volume. “You can tell m

JAXSONThe morning air outside the station was sharp, heavy with that smell of wet asphalt and metal. The kind that seeps into your clothes. I squinted against the sunlight as Ryder signed the last paper, his expression unreadable. When the officer finally handed me my things back—wallet, keys, phone—I just shoved them into my pocket and walked toward the car. I didn’t say a word. Neither did Ryder. The silence between us carried more weight than any argument could.Once we were both inside, he started the engine, eyes fixed on the road. The car rolled out of the lot, the low hum filling the space between us.“You know Dad’s pissed,” Ryder said flatly, still not looking at me.I leaned my head back against the seat. “When isn’t he?”“I’m serious, Jax. He called me twice to his study last night. Said you embarrassed the family, got the club’s name dragged into police hands. He’s waiting for you at home.”I nodded once. “Let him wait.”Ryder glanced at me, frowning. “You’re really not g

TESSAI sat on the couch, staring at the door Jaxson had just walked out of. It had been minutes, maybe longer—but my body still hadn’t moved. The silence in the apartment felt heavy, the kind that presses down on you until you can’t think straight. The last few seconds replayed in my head over and over. His voice. The look in his eyes. The way his tone snapped when he spoke to me.Jaxson had never raised his voice at me before. I rubbed my hands together, trying to shake off the feeling that something was off. He wasn't just angry, he looked… lost. Like his head was somewhere else entirely. His knuckles were bruised too, and I couldn’t get that image out of my mind. The blood. The tension in his jaw. The way he left without arguing, that wasn't the Jaxson I knew. Jaxson would have stayed no matter how many times I told him to leave. But he just left like that.My phone was sitting beside me. I picked it up, staring at his name on the screen. My thumb hovered over the call button. I

JAXSONThe sound of sirens cut through the night before I even lifted my head.Blue and red lights flashed through the broken windows, painting the bar in color. The smell of blood and whiskey mixed in the air. Damien was on the floor, barely moving, his face covered in blood. I could still hear my own heartbeat pounding in my ears. The door swung open, and the police rushed in.“Drop it! Everyone, hands where I can see them!” one of them yelled.I wasn’t holding anything. My hands were already on the floor, blood dripping from my knuckles. Damien’s crew had vanished, cowards. A couple of broken chairs lay around, one half-bent under Damien’s body. Two officers came to me. Another two went straight to Damien. They didn’t ask questions yet. One of them looked around and spoke into his radio, “We’ve got two men down, send paramedics.”I leaned back against the wall, my vision blurring for a second. My head still hurts from the bottle. One of the officers crouched beside me. “Do you need

JAXSON.After Tessa walked off with Nova, I stood there for a while, watching her disappear down the hallway. My chest felt tight, and I didn’t even know why. She said yes. She’s mine now. That should be enough. But my dad’s words kept echoing in my head.“Tessa Monroe is a threat.”The way he said it wasn’t casual. It wasn’t something I could brush off. My father never used that word unless he meant it. I knew what that tone meant—trouble. He had a reason, and I need to find out what the hell it was before I lose my mind.I pulled my keys out of my pocket and walked toward my bike. The sun was almost gone, leaving the streets with that half-dark glow that always made everything feel heavier. I put on my helmet but didn’t start the engine right away. My hands rested on the bars as my thoughts ran wild.I needed answers. And I knew exactly who could give them to me.Cole.He was the only one who could spill everything. So I called him. The second he picked up, I said, “Meet me at Rafe’
