Saratan’s P.O.V

That weird feeling I had when I first opened my eyes after he saved me washed through me again. It was like an invisible force that pulled me towards him, even though his demeanor was cold and aloof.

But it wasn’t just that attraction that left me spellbound, it was the fact that I could feel his pain almost as though it was my own. I could sense the deep-seated grief and heartbreak his voice carried as he murmured in his sleep again, “H-help,” and it broke my heart to see him suffer.

But what do I do? This man clearly warned me not to ever wake him up while he’s asleep and now, he’s asking for help.

As though my feet had a mind of theirs, they began shuffling very slowly toward him.

My breath caught in my throat as I got close enough. His eyes were open! What sorcery?! Was he really asleep? Could he see me right now?

But his breathing was slow and he didn’t move an inch even though I was so close to him. I don’t think he knows that I’m here.
