LOGINRaven’s Pov
I didn’t even know why I agreed to follow this man. I knew what was going to happen. He was going to die. I was going to kill him. Two in one day. I had never done that before. But today, I just felt like having fun. Alex had told me to stay calm. He told me not to do anything crazy. But I didn’t listen, he would be so mad at me. The man walked into my bar. And he started flirting with me. Why would he flirt with me? Did he think I was just one of those easy girls? It annoyed me. I was already on top of him. Just my panties and bra on. He looked like he was enjoying it too much. His eyes were closed. Good. That was when I brought out my dagger. I moved slowly. I wanted it clean. Fast. But then, just as I raised it— His eyes opened. And he caught my hand. “What the hell?” he shouted, pushing me off and getting up from the bed. I rolled off and stood too, my dagger still in hand. “What are you trying to do?” he asked, shocked. I looked him in the eyes. “I’m trying to kill you, of course.” He stepped back. “Why?” “You don’t know how to keep your mouth shut,” I said. “You flirt with every girl you see. No self-control. So I’m here to teach you a lesson.” He scoffed. “I just wanted to have some fun. And now you’re trying to kill me?” “Yes,” I said with no emotion. “I’m going to kill you. So say your goodbyes.” I took a step forward. This time, I wasn’t missing. I didn’t waste time. I launched at him fast, my blade ready. But he dodged it quickly. Too quick. He was already on the other side of the room before I could blink. I turned sharply, keeping my eyes on him. “Nice move,” I said with a cold smile. “But you’re not going to get lucky next time.” I rushed toward him again, aiming for his face with a solid punch. He pushed me. Not hard. Just a soft push. Gentle, even. That made me stop for a second. Did he really think I was weak? Just because I’m a woman? I’ve fought men like him before. Full of themselves. Thinking strength is about muscles and deep voices. I stepped back and narrowed my eyes at him. “You’re going to regret this,” I said. “Let me just make this easy for you… so your death won’t be painful.” He looked at me, dead serious. “You’re depressing,” he said, voice calm but sharp. “You’re going to regret this. Stop this madness and walk out of this room.” I chuckled. “You dare not.” My claws extended. I never used them unless the man was tough. Unless he was worth it. This one? He was going to see something different. I expected him to panic. To run. To beg. But he didn’t flinch. He didn’t even blink. He just stared at me like he’d been expecting this. And then— His claws came out. “A half werewolf. Interesting.” he said After he made the statement, his eyes turned red. My heart skipped, he was an Alpha. I knew I couldn’t beat an Alpha. Not in this life. But I still wanted to test myself. Maybe it was madness. Maybe it was pride. Maybe it was just rage. I didn’t care. Our claws clashed, metallic and raw. The room lit with sparks of fury and growls. He moved with precision. Strength. Experience. But I was fast. I was angry. I didn’t hold back. “You don’t scare me,” I snarled, dodging a swipe and landing a sharp cut on his arm. He glanced at the wound like it was nothing. “You should be.” I lunged again, but he caught my wrist mid-air and twisted it. I winced but rolled with the motion, breaking free and swinging at his jaw. He ducked. “You’re good,” he said. “But not good enough.” “Keep talking,” I growled. “Maybe I’ll rip that smug mouth off.” He slammed me into the wall. I gasped, clawing at him. “Still not scared?” he taunted, eyes blazing. “Terrified,” I whispered with a smirk, “but I never run.” Our bodies clashed again. It was brutal. Bones meeting flesh. Blood mixing with sweat. I aimed for his throat. He dodged and spun me around, pinning me hard to the bed. My back hit the mattress with a thud, his claw at my neck. His face hovered close, too close. Eyes boring into mine. Do it, I thought. Finish it. “I told you…” he said, voice low and steady, “you should’ve walked out that door.” His grip tightened. “You’re going to regret this.” I stared up at him, waiting. Ready. But then he pulled back. “I don’t kill women,” he muttered. He stood. Picked up his shirt, wore it and left. Just like that. The door clicked behind him. And I lay there, breathing hard. My chest rising and falling like I’d just run through hell and back. I was terrified. Not of dying. Of him. This man… this Alpha… had scared me in a way no man ever had. Not even the ones I’ve killed, and I hated that. A few minutes later, Alex burst in. “What the hell, Raven?” he shouted, eyes wild. “I told you to stop it! Two in one day? This is getting out of hand!” I sat up slowly, still catching my breath. “I’m sorry,” I mumbled. “I’ll… I’ll take a break for a little while.” “No.” Alex’s voice softened, but the anger was still there. “No taking breaks. You need to stop.” I didn’t argue. Out loud, at least. “Okay,” I said quietly. “I’ll stop killing.” But inside? Inside I was screaming. I’ll stop for now. But not forever. I’ll find them. The ones who prey. The ones who can’t keep it in their pants. Pedophiles and fools. They won’t be so lucky.Alessio’s Pov “What the hell are you talking about?” I snapped, confused as hell by Raven’s sudden interruption. She didn’t answer. Just pointed, at me.I raised my hand, brushed the underside of my nose. It was warm and wet.Blood.I stared at the red smear on my fingertips, my pulse picking up immediately.“What the fuck—?”I turned sharply to Valerius. “What is the meaning of this?”Diego and the rest of my pack were already rising to their feet. Chairs scraped violently across the stone floor. Raven stood too, her dagger already slipping into her hand like second nature. Then Valerius was calm, smug son of a bitch—started laughing. Not just laughing. Cackling.A slow, cruel sound, like he’d been waiting for this moment his whole damn life.“You really thought I called you here for peace?” he barked. “After all these years of war, Alessio? After you slaughtered my warriors? You think I’m that stupid?”He stepped forward, wine glass still in hand, his eyes gleaming with venom.“No.
Raven’s PovThe moment we stepped through that gate and those men came out to greet us, my instincts screamed. This place, Frostfang….reeked of cold authority and hidden danger. I didn’t like it. Not one bit.As the man introduced himself and started issuing instructions to the maids, I already knew what was going to happen. Of course. One room. One bed. One Alpha-sized ego sharing space with me.I could’ve argued.I wanted to argue. But then I remembered Alessio’s words back in the woods, about how there was nothing feminine about me. That I fought like a man. Talked too much. Didn’t fit the mold. And just like that, my pride chained my tongue.I was screaming on the inside. Every cell in my body wanted to protest. But I stayed quiet.Alessio glanced at me, like he expected me to speak up, to fight back like I always did. But I didn’t. And I hated that I didn’t.The mansion they led us into was massive, just like Alessio’s back in Silvercrest. But this one was different. It didn’t fe
Alessio’s PovIt was finally the day to leave for Frostfang.I hadn’t seen Raven much over the last two days. She’d been training with Laila, constantly on the move like she was trying to run away from something, or someone. And maybe I was glad for the distance. Maybe I wasn’t.I had my own shit to deal with in Silvercrest. Being Alpha doesn’t pause just because you’re mated to a walking storm. We were all gathered in the courtyard…Diego, my four best trackers, and me. We were just waiting on one person.Of course.Raven.The sun was already up, the pack was watching, and still, no sign of her.“She’s late,” I muttered, folding my arms. “Why am I not surprised?”No one answered. And then finally she showed up, casually walking like she wasn’t the last damn person we needed.“It’s about time,” I said, glaring at her. “We aren't transforming because of you, so what exactly took you so long? You don’t even wear makeup.”She rolled her eyes. “You might as well go, so I can go back to be
Alessio’s PovI stood by the window, arms folded, gaze distant. My mind, for once, wasn’t on war or treaties or patrols, it was on her.Raven.The way she moved, like a storm barely contained beneath skin. The way her body melted under my touch last night, so fucking soft…so soft I still couldn’t believe it. Her lips, the moan she let out when I kissed her neck, goddess, it haunted me.She was fire and edge and stubbornness… and I was burning. The door creaked open behind me. I didn’t have to turn, Diego’s scent hit me first.“Hey, man—”“I’m not a big fan of yours,” I cut in flatly. He chuckled, closing the door behind him. “Good to know. But I’m not here to win your heart, Alessio. I’m here to talk sense into you.”I sighed and turned slightly, raising a brow. “Let me guess. You’re going to warn me again about how dangerous it is to go into enemy territory.”He didn’t smile this time. “Yes, actually. You know what you're walking into. After years of bloodshed, they suddenly want pea
Raven’s PovI woke up slowly, eyes fluttering open like I wasn’t entirely sure if I was still dreaming. My body felt warm. Lighter, somehow. But the moment I sat up, reality slammed into me like a freight train. He wasn’t there.I scanned the room, it was empty. The sheets next to me were cold, like he’d been gone for a while. My fingers instinctively trailed up to my neck. And there it was.The mark. The damn mark.My heart skipped a beat, and the memories of last night came rushing in like a tidal wave—the kiss, the burn of his touch, the heat that tore through my veins like wildfire. The way his mouth claimed mine. The way his teeth had—I flushed.Bright red.No. No. No. Absolutely not. I am not blushing for that man.I slapped my cheeks gently, as if that would shake the ridiculous warmth off. I swung my legs off the bed and padded over to the mirror. My hair looked like it’d gone ten rounds with a tornado. And on my neck…The mark pulsed faintly.I frowned, twisting my hair to c
Alessio’s PovThe heat in the room wasn’t just hers anymore. It had crept beneath my skin too—slowly, then all at once.I could see it in her eyes, how the fire was eating her up from the inside out. The flush of her cheeks, the sheen of sweat across her collarbone, the way her fingers trembled slightly every time she gripped the sheets, every part of her was screaming for relief, even though her mouth kept spewing defiance.I had to say it.“I think I’ll have to mark you.”She blinked at me like I’d grown a second head. “What do you mean, try to bite me? Are you insane?”I met her glare, calm but firm. “Yeah. That’s the only thing that’ll stop this. For now. You understand that, right?”Her expression twisted in fury. “Never. You would never—don’t even try that nonsense on me.”Then she laughed. Not a normal laugh.A wicked, jagged, unhinged kind of sound that made my wolf stir uneasily.Fang, my wolf, snorted.“Don’t tell me you only want to mark her. You definitely want to do more
