Raven's POV

I froze for a second, watching Lily dart to me like she was launched from a catapult.

She stood in front of me, glaring at her dad and Sienna, along with everyone else. “Stop saying bad things about mommy!”

Her words sent shock into my head.

I blinked, a fuzzy feeling crawling in my heart.

So what if Marcus cheated? I still had my baby with me.

When I finally regained my senses, I grabbed my daughter. “What are you doing here? I told you to stay inside.”

“No. They are all bad. They keep bullying mommy.” She pouted, her eyes ready to spill tears.

I felt my heart grow soft.

“Lily, that's not a very nice thing to say.” Marcus squinted at Lily, his hands balling into fists.

“Then stop bullying mommy!” Lily shouted back, and even I was shocked.

Despite being a five-year old, Lily was exceptionally smart for her age.

She had never thrown tantrums before, so hearing her yell was a first.

I quickly scooped Lily into my arms, cradling her to my neck. “They aren't bullying me darling. Remember, I am Luna. Who would dare bully someone as powerful as me?”

“Then why are you crying again? Is it that bad woman and her son?” Lily turned to Sienna, throwing her a glare too old her age.

“Lily!” Marcus chided. His voice loud, it boomed, frightening Lily.

Startled, she jolted, and I cradled her deeper in my arms. “Don't yell at our daughter like that!”

I glowered at Marcus, resisting the submission he tried to impose on my wolf.

I stood my ground, meeting his gaze.

For my daughter, I would do anything.

“Is that how you train your daughter?” Marcus snarled, clenching his fist.

Sienna threw me a look. “Don't be mad at the little child Marcus. I am sure she's only saying that because Raven had put them in her head.”

“Mommy didn't tell me anything!” Lily refuted before I could get a word in. “You and everyone are bullying mommy, and it's all daddy's fault!”

Sienna scowled, the smile on her face slipping. “I am sure this is all a misunderstanding.”

Even before Marcus had announced her as his mistress I had always known Sienna was a green tea bitch.

“Lily, don't say that to your aunt Sienna.” Joan tried meddling in. “She's now your second mom. You should treat her with respect.”

I calmly looked at her.

At this point, I had no idea how this same woman I had helped for years could turn her back and be among the first to stab me in the back.

Among everyone in the pack, Joan had been the closest, since she was the beta's spouse, but it seems to me she had known Marcus was cheating.

She might have been two timing me the whole time.

Ha. This pack was really something.

From its alpha to the members, all of them were black soldiers.

I looked over at Marcus who had been silent the whole time.

His glare on me never waned, and when I locked gaze with him, it intensified.

Still, I refused to back down.

“My daughter belongs to me. I decide who she calls mom or not.”

If I didn't stop this here, things would only get harder from here on out.

Marcus narrowed his eyes, nodding. “Very well then, but don't regret it later.”

“I promise you, I won't.”

Marcus wrapped his arms around Sienna once more, leading her past me.

Just as she passed, she lowered her voice. “Word of advice, leave willingly or I'll make your life a living hell.”

I stilled. Raising my eyes to meet hers.

Everyone had supernatural hearing.

Even from a mile or two away, we could hear a twig snap, but everyone around pretended they heard nothing.

I squared my shoulders, tightening my grip on Lily. “Go ahead and try. My life's already hell before you come in.”

I spat, turning around to leave.

“Just you wait!” I heard Sienna say, but I ignored it.

She can try all she wants, but nothing moves me anymore.

….

For the next few days, Marcus had undeniably distanced himself from me and Lily, but I didn't mind.

I liked it this way.

Seeing Marcus act so in love with Sienna and her son Ethan hurt me in many ways, but I chose to focus on Lily, and my duties as Luna.

“Hi, sweetie.” I beamed, kissing Lilly on her forehead. “What’s wrong?”

It was still early in the morning, and I had to prepare Lily for preschool, but she looked undeniably gloomy.

Lily shook her head, poking at her food. “It's nothing mommy.”

“You sure?” I frowned, noticing the strange behavior in my daughter.

I knew her quite well. Today I had prepared her favorite food, spaghetti and meatballs, but unlike before when she got excited, she barely looked at it.

“Come on baby, you know you can tell mommy anything.” I cooed, feeling my heart tighten at the sight of my daughter's droopy face.

Lily stabbed her food again, her voice quivering. “Dad.”

That one word sent a stab in my heart, and my eyes reddened.

Marcus had been truly ruthless.

After the arrival of Sienna and Ethan, he had been ignoring the both of us.

“Look here sweetie.” I grabbed her face, pushing a smile onto my face. “How many hands do you have?”

Lily looked down at her arms. “Two?”

“And legs?”

“Also two!” She giggled.

“Good girl,” I cooed. “Can you do anything with one hand and a leg?”

Lily shook her head. “No.”

“That tells you, two is a significant number.” I gently stroked her head. “You and mommy are two. Meaning we work perfectly with each other.”

Lily frowned, tilting her head. “So does that mean we don't need daddy?”

“Yes and no.” I smiled. It was so wrong my dear, but I didn't want my child hurt anymore.

“I want you to know that when you have mommy by your side, then you shouldn't worry too much about your daddy. Okay?” I forced a smile, but I knew I failed. Miserably.

Not when Lily looked like she had been enlightened. “I get it now mommy. Thank you!”

I smiled, genuinely but it didn't last long before it was shattered.

“Awwwn. What a cute little girl.” Sienna said. “It's too bad you are a bad mother. Teaching your child to hate her father? That's low. Even for you.”

Raven’s pov EpilogueThe full moon appeared as everyone waited with their torches outside the pack house. Every member, old and young all came out to witness something that hasn't happened in years. They have prayed for their Alpha to find his mate, someone that would capture his heart and would be able to build a family together with him but it didn't happen.Rumors had started spreading that he was impotent, some said he was too stern to fall in love but today was a different day. Today was the day Alpha Dax was going to claim me as his Luna right under the full blue moon. I stood at the edge of the tree line, my heart hammering against my ribs. I was very anxious. Lily's tiny hands tightened my arms, showing that she was also nervous. “Mommy, are they all staring at us? I have never seen so many people,” Lily exclaimed. I chuckled softly, crouching to meet her gaze. “They are all staring at us,”“But why? Did we do anything wrong?” Lily asked innocently. Kids, they were

Raven’s povThe gravel crunched under the tires as we finally pulled up at the pack house garage. My forehead rested on the cool grass, my head still trying to wrap around the whole event that had happened earlier. It was finally over, all of it.The accusations, the shame, disrespect. Everything was over and I felt so much better. I didn't know why this victory didn't taste sweet, it tasted more of exhaustion.“You are quiet again,” Dax said, his voice deep and gentle as he cut the engine. I sighed in response. No matter how much I tried not to think about it, the realization after everything that had happened was still there. “Marcus was finally sentenced, and the truth was out. I could see the pain on Marcus’s face. At least I now know that he felt remorseful for everything he did. But I kind of feel empty…” I responded. Dax held my arms and turned me so I could fully look at him. “Thats definitely not emptiness. It is just your body letting down its shield after so many ye

Raven’s povWe were heading back to the courtroom today. I placed my hands under my chin tiredly. “I really hope today is the last verdict. We have been dragging this for way too long,”’I complained, clicking my tongue. Dax used one hand to hold mine and the other to control the steering wheel. “Focus on whatever you are driving,” I said, chuckling softly. “I can't resist you baby,” he whispered, staring at me. I blushed slightly and tried to hide my blush but I couldn't. “You look so breathtaking,” Dax said, pecking the back of my hand. We finally got to the courtroom, and it was so crowded everywhere. “I am guessing today has to be the final verdict, everywhere is crowded,” I said. Once they saw that I was coming in, they all paved the way and started praising me. I smiled at them, waving at them. “We have missed you so much, we want you back at the pack house,” I heard some of them say. I only smiled in response because I really don't have an answer. I already had a l

Raven’s pov“What’s wrong?” Dax asked me worriedly. I picked up my phone and tried to call the number that just called me, but the call didn't go through. “Someone called me and said something but—”“Hello, yes I didn't get you the first time,” I said to the person. “Your sister is in the hospital, she was involved in an accident,” the person said and ended the call. Dax rolled his eyes when I repeated the message I just heard. “I hope you are not believing whatever nonsense whoever that person is saying,” Dax said, taking my phone from my hands. “Of course, I'll believe it! He said Jade was involved in an accident, and we have to find whatever hospital she is at,” I responded with a tone of urgency. Dax sighed. “You have such a kind heart,” he said, kissing my forehead. “I am very sure this is one of her tricks. She is trying to lure you out so she can harm you,” Dax said. It was then that everything clicked. Dax was very right. I kissed my teeth in irritation. “Honestly

Marcus’s pov“Marcus, you can’t be serious!” Sienna said, raising her voice. “After everything I did to help you! I did exactly everything that you have always asked me to do so how will you believe what she had to say so easily!”“You can't believe her, we have planned all of this together. I know things are not looking as good as we planned because of all of this but we will solve the problem. Trust me, I am willing to help you out of this, and then our life would continue happily ever after,” Sienna said, holding my arms. I rolled my eyes.“Sienna, get the hell out of my face,” I said, hissing angrily. I have been gullible enough! If she thinks I was going to fall for one of her tricks again then she had to be joking. “No! Stop this silly DNA nonsense, Ethan is your son!” She squirmed. “Why are you acting this way! We were together when I got pregnant with Ethan. We were literally dating, what then is the problem?”“If you claim so then no problem, I’ll wait for the DNA result

Raven’s pov “My daughter,” my father said, trying to hold my arms, but I shifted away from him, moving closer to Nana. “I know I have wronged you but it is not my fault. Your sister totally deceived all of us,” my father said, trying to form a pitiful look. I scoffed in disbelief. “So now you are blaming all of this on Jade!” I asked, shaking my head. Even though Jade has been the worst sister, I knew she was not the cause of any calamity that has befallen our family. “Of course, who else will all of these be blamed on? She lied against you,” I rolled my eyes. “And you believed her! You believed her every single time without batting an eyelash. Even when the truth was so obvious, you chose to believe her,”’ I whisper-yelled. “I am sorry, we know we have all offended you,” my mother quickly butt in. From what I was seeing, my father wasn't remorseful one bit. As a matter of fact, he still felt confident in himself after everything he had done. Well, I wasn’t up for
