Raven's POV“I can't do this anymore.” Marcus said, while I stared at him. Despite being separated only by his office table, I felt a huge gap from the man I called my husband. He pushed a stack of paper over to me, the bold italics catching my eyes. “What is this?” I asked, trying as best as I could to stop the tremor in my voice.“You aren't blind Raven. Those are divorce papers.”“W–why?” My voice shook, words barely forming in my head, but deep down… a part of me knew this was only a matter of time. I just refused to believe it till now.“I want my freedom Raven.” He simply said.“Freedom?” I repeated, feeling the word burn practically in my throat. “What about our daughter Lily? What's going to happen to her?”Marcus rolled his eyes. “Don't be dramatic Raven. I am not going to abandon my child. Since you are her mother, I won't take away her position as a legitimate child. I just want our marriage to be more flexible and for you to accept Sienna.”The papers in my hand crunc

Raven's POVI froze for a second, watching Lily dart to me like she was launched from a catapult. She stood in front of me, glaring at her dad and Sienna, along with everyone else. “Stop saying bad things about mommy!” Her words sent shock into my head. I blinked, a fuzzy feeling crawling in my heart. So what if Marcus cheated? I still had my baby with me. When I finally regained my senses, I grabbed my daughter. “What are you doing here? I told you to stay inside.” “No. They are all bad. They keep bullying mommy.” She pouted, her eyes ready to spill tears.I felt my heart grow soft.“Lily, that's not a very nice thing to say.” Marcus squinted at Lily, his hands balling into fists. “Then stop bullying mommy!” Lily shouted back, and even I was shocked. Despite being a five-year old, Lily was exceptionally smart for her age. She had never thrown tantrums before, so hearing her yell was a first.I quickly scooped Lily into my arms, cradling her to my neck. “They aren't bullying m

Raven's POV I burst through the entrance at the city hospital. We had a clinic that was exclusive to werewolves from our pack, but Lily's injuries had been so severe that she had to be taken to a bigger hospital with advanced facilities. I rushed straight to the reception, hyperventilating. I had managed to hold myself together but I was gradually losing my strength.“I'm here for Lily Cole,” I swallowed. “I'm her mother.”The nurse on duty looked at me with a mix of confusion and sympathy. “I'll look through the records,” she responded. I impatiently stood there, counting the seconds it took her to access the computer in front of her and log into the system.“Luna, please calm down. I'm sure she will be alright,” one of the ladies from the packhouse who had come with me said softly. I turned to look at her wordlessly. She didn't know that. She didn't know what she was saying. I finally understood the unease that had been choking me all day. I subconsciously knew something bad wou

Raven's PovI watched the color drain from his face. I didn't even know how to feel.“Wait, you're serious?” His voice was low, his brows deeply furrowed as he asked me. Fuck it really! Why do I feel so bad now?“Look Alpha, I only want what's best for my daughter, you clearly don't want her anymore,” I maintained my stance as well as eye contact with him. I won't back down, I can't be seen as weak and undignified. “Alpha?” Confusion was written all over his face.He was doing something with his eyes, those damn sexy blue eyes that made me fall so much in love with him. He knew the effect it had on me and he was trying to use it to his own advantage. But it was not happening this time. I can't be the stupid one to compromise all over again. But why does he look like a confused little boy at this point? Without Sienna by his side he was so much more pleasant to be around and reasonable to reason with. “Or aren't you the Alpha?” I had to ask again. I didn't know where this was he

Raven's povMurmurs and whispers immediately rented the air and I watched every single one of them carefully, not wanting to miss out any single details. They all knew the drill, they emptied their pockets and took off their coats…now out of them just three were reluctant. I asked for them to be placed aside but before they could even do that, one darted quickly out of the strategy room.“Fuck! Guards after him!” I didn't even have strength for a hot pursuit this morning. They ran after him and approximately thirty minutes later, I met them at the garden…everyone was gathered, even Marcus was there.I ignored everyone and when they noticed I was there, they made way for me.“Rokun has he said anything?” They had him pinned to the ground already and I motioned for them to put him to a kneeling position.“No, he hasn't Luna” As I moved forward to interrogate him, I noticed something off …the way he looked at me, so much hate but that wasn't it, his life was waning. My eyes widened a
