“Things aren't going the way I want it”

I said in frustration.

The pack was slipping through my very own fingers.

I could feel it, even in the way the guards take seconds before acting. Their salute ain't as sharp as usual.

Even the air felt different…heavier, like the territory itself was holding its breath.

They were watching.

Waiting.

Not for me.
