Chapter 14

Daisie POV

I despised the sharp gazes on me, they were rising goosebumps on my skin. I couldn't help but buried my face more into Grey’s suit. Inhaling his spicy scent was far better than lifting my head to meet those intense gazes burning into my skin like a hot plastic.

I only focused on Grey as he moved forward to the front of the church close to the altar. He looked a lot classier than me, I had to wore a pair of the skirts he bought me, and a red top shirt because I needed to dress simple since I hadn’t started walking myself.

I hadn’t expected I would be coming to a funeral after I survived from the woods. Inside the church sounded like a hundred of a housefly, buzzing all over rotten food.

A lot of voices intermingled with one another, murmuring words to themselves. I had started perceiving little by little, Grey said I should use my nose more often it would help me a lot.
