Daisie POV

It wasn’t time for the sun to set. The atmosphere was dark as night and colder than ever. It was very early in the morning, little birds chirping around the tree, where we’d found a comfortable spot. I hadn’t known when we slept off, but I knew I was in Grey’s arms before my eyes finally shut closed for the night.

Below my head if felt something strong and almost soft at the same time, but I didn’t bother to look. I just left my head up and saw Dolion still fast asleep facing the other side of the tree. “ I’m proud to say, I made you gain so much weight, Daisie.” Grey said in his strained voice lowly.

Rising up completely, I realized I had slept on his lap all through the night. I looked into his eyes they were way too tired that in few minutes they would shut close, and open for the next five hours. “ Did you stay awake all through the night?” my eyes dilated, I nearly propped up on his lap but I suspected I would be adding more weight to his exhausted body.
