“Follow this road, you’ll see the pack house on the right, pull up in front and Alpha Ewan will meet you there to show you where you’ll be staying while you are with us.” The other guard bows his head,
“It’s an honour to have you visit with us your majesty.” The first guard looks at his friend then also gives a quick bow.
“Indeed, apologies for my rudeness.” George waves a hand to them,
“No need to apologise, this trip has been a never-ending parade of people falling over themselves to bow to a foreign king.” George smiles at the two. He turns quickly and returns to the car. Nate smiles at him from his position behind the wheel. “You heard the man, onwards.” George smiles back at Nate, who puts the car in gear and they head off. The pack’s lands were extensive and mostly covered in thick woodland.
The pack house was in a large clearing allowing for people to see visitors coming from a good distance. There was a large gravel area out the front where several cars were parked. Nate pulls up level with the front steps of the Victorian brick-built mansion. It was a vast sprawling building that had some more modern additions visible even from the front. The couple standing out the front waiting for them, Nate guesses, are the Alpha and his Luna.
He is a broad chested man, tall and Nate guesses somewhere in his sixties. His hair had started to grey and he had deep crow’s feet by his dark almost black eyes. His black hair was swept into a short ponytail at the nape of his neck. He was wearing smart black trousers and a long-sleeved black button up shirt with the top button undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
The woman seems to be much the same age, with long wavy blonde hair left loose and her pale blue eyes seem to be taking everything in, she reminds him of Fi when she was put into a new environment. She wore loose jeans, calf-length boots, and a yellow dress that came down to her knees, flaring gently over her pregnant stomach. The man smiles at them, extending his arms wide in welcome,
“King Alpha George” he extends a hand as soon as they approach, George takes it and shakes his hand, “Welcome to the Twisted Rivers Pack. This is my Luna, Sara.” She extends a hand to shake as well. George shakes her hand and smiles broadly at them both.
“Thank you, it is an honour to finally visit. We have heard many good things about your pack, and its inclusiveness.” George was a king, and he knew how to make you feel valued. They had done extensive research on this and every other pack we had visited to try and find something to compliment the Alphas upon their arrival, to put them at ease before they start asking difficult questions about hidden women in their packs. Sara smiles and nods,
“Due to your visit, I’m afraid that the pack house is now at full capacity, as we have recalled everyone we could for your visit, as per your request. But we do have a lovely guest house a short way down the road that we have prepared for you.” Sara has a faint Welsh accent, but seems a little off somehow, not that he can pin down why,
“Thank you, and unless we are in a formal setting, please feel free to call me George.” George gives a small bow to the Alpha, who gives one in return,
“Very well, George. I’m Ewan unless you must state my position, but everyone here knows, so that shouldn’t be an issue.” He laughs, and Sara makes her excuses and heads inside, “She gets quite tired with the pregnancy, and will only join us when necessary. It has been hard on her this time around.” He smiles at her, then turns back to the group. “Might I join you in your vehicle and I’ll show you the guest house?”
They all pile back into the vehicle, with Ewan in the passenger seat and everyone else in the back. Nate puts the car in gear and drives off in the direction Ewan directs. It takes a couple of minutes to get to the guest house. It was a large house. It was an ultra-modern structure with steel and glass being the main components, there was wood siding in places and strategically placed boulders to make an interesting garden. Ewan smiles at them,
