Chapter 130

Ronan’s POV

I laughed to myself as Fiona struggled hard to get a release from my grip. I shouldn’t have taken this approach to surprise her. She tried to kick me, but I held her down.

“Help.” She yelled into my palm.

“Calm down, my love. It is me, Ronan.” I whispered in her ear.

Her body went limp all of a sudden. When I was sure she wouldn’t holler, I put on the bed lamp. Her chest heaved and her eyes were wide open in fear. I regret my actions. What was I thinking?”

“Fiona….” I attempted to reach for her but she slapped my hand off instead, got off the bed, and stepped out of the room.

I didn’t know if I was supposed to go after her or not. So I stayed put hoping she would return while I checked on my son. He sleeps peacefully through the chaos. Must have troubled his mother and Isla during the day. He looks so peaceful and handsome. I can’t wait for him to return to the palace just so I can spend more time with him, and watch him take his first steps, and grow.
