5 - To hell with you and your company!

"I want you." Omarion said, sounding more like a command, rather than a demand. He was able to study Isis within the small period that he had entered his office that morning that she wanted the job so badly. Confident that she'd do whatever he proposes to her just to maintain his job, he pushed the offer to her.

"Sorry?" Isis replied, a confused look on her face. She was quite sure she heard him well, but she wanted to believe it wasn't what she thought it was. "Can you please come again or break that sentence down to me, cause I—"

"I don't repeat myself, miss tardiness," he cut in with a bossy tone in his voice. "I know you heard me well, so don't pretend you didn't."

Suddenly, the fear Isis had in her beforehand found its way out of her body. She was a confident woman on normal days, but due to her lateness that morning and how his secretary had scared her that she'd lose her job before entering his office, that was what made her fidget.

However, the responses she had been getting ever since she got to the company only showed that the people who worked there were rude people. And one thing she would never tolerate was anyone being rude to her, especially not now that she heard what Omarion just said to her clearly.

"Of course, I did hear you well," she said and folded her arms, a serious expression on her face as she stared at him. "However, I don't understand what you mean by telling me you want me. If it's that you want me to work here in your company, definitely. I'd be elated to do so. Afterall, isn't that what I came all the way here for?"

Omarion scoffed and chuckled lightly as he rubbed his forehead gently. He was sure she understood what he meant by what he said, but she was only trying to dodge it.

Being the straightforward man he was, who didn't like to beat around the bush, he said it point blank to her immediately. "You want to work here under me? In my company? Then you have to do whatever I tell you to."

"Definitely, sir," she faked a smile. "You're my boss afterall. How dare I not follow your rules? Whose rules would I then follow if not yours?"

"Great, I like that." He smiled mischievously once again and folded his arms, his back resting on his chair comfortably. By now, his hard on had gone down and he was back to his normal self. "If you want this job, then, my darling, you have to be my personal lady."

"Uhm, your personal assistant?" She asked with raised eyebrows. Deep down she knew he wasn't talking about that, but she wanted to believe she was the one just overthinking it.

Omarion got up from his chair immediately and walked up to meet her on her feet once again. He bent down a little, so that he was now about her height, his face was now facing hers directly. "You're 24, Isis, and I know you understand me well."

"I don't—"

"I want you as my personal fuck buddy, Isis Talon." He said it to her point blank without any hesitation. He rose up to his normal height and placed his hands in his trousers pockets as he stared at her to see he reaction.

He noticed how her body stiffened and she clutched her bag tightly to herself, like she was worried that someone would snatch it from her and run off. Her eyes also opened wide in shock. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it back instantly. Then she looked away from him, not able to meet his eyes. It was as if all the confidence she had a few seconds ago had disappeared all of a sudden.

Omarion waited for her to speak, but she didn't say a single word. "Aren't you gonna answer me? I assume you aren't deaf all of a sudden, yeah?"

Isis's shock could be read all over her face. She couldn't even hide it one bit. She tried to pinch her hand to know if she was indeed in reality or she was dreaming, but to her disappointment, she was in reality and she had to face it. Summoning all the courage left in her, she looked up at Omarion with a very stern face, like she was about to fight him at any moment.

"I am here as a worker and not as a sex toy. If you can't employ me the normal way you employ everyone else, then hold your fucking job!" She raised her voice at him a little.

Omarion wasn't a bit moved by her speech. He just chuckled as he stared at her. One thing he knew was that he could always get fuck buddies anywhere, but it wouldn't be easy for her to get a job just anywhere.

"For one, who told you I employed the rest of my workers in a way?" He chuckled. "I can ask for whatever I want from any employee, and if they indeed want their job, they'd do it. And if they don't, then they can kiss it goodbye."

"I—"

"You don't speak when I'm speaking," he cautioned, his eyes suddenly going from a sweet looking one to a deadly looking one. "Don't make me correct you over that again," he added sternly, then continued what he was saying. "And when you refuse my job here?" He giggled and shook his head. "Know that you aren't getting one in the whole of Europe. You do know I'm that powerful, yeah?"

"Then you have no fucking right to use your power to do wicked things like this!" She raised her voice at home.

Pissed about how she raised her voice, he yelled back at her. "And you have no fucking right to dictate for me in my company, do you get that?! What audacity, man?!"

Isis scoffed. "Then to hell with you and your company, if you think this is the only way out!" She turned around and stormed out of his office, leaving him standing there staring at her in awe of how she walked out on him. Isis slammed the door shut behind her as she stormed out.

"What—" Just as Rachel was about to scold her for slamming the door in that manner, she cut in.

"Oh, please. Mind your effing business!" She snapped at her and walked out on her, but not after hissing loudly enough for her to hear. Rachel stood there staring at Isis's retreating figure in disgust.

The drive back home was one of the worst experiences for Isis. Her chest was heavy and her eyes teary as she sat in the uber. Her mind went back to her experiences with Omarion and she got even more pissed. However, the thought of how someone so handsome like him could be so sex starved to have asked of such thing from a mere worker like her.

"I'll still go there tomorrow," she muttered to herself. "If he sees me often, he might reconsider and employ me without his stupid condition." A few minutes later, she drifted into a short sleep.

The ring of her phone was what jolted her awake from her sleep. She immediately checked who the caller was, and seeing that it was her boyfriend, James, she picked up the call instantly.

"Babe," she simply said as a form of greeting to him.

"Called you severally this morning and your number was switched off. I was so worried that I had to call Pheonix and she told me you went out to some company where you got a new job." As he said that part, Isis closed her eyes and let out a light groan. She knew he was about to rant about why she didn't inform him that she got a new job.

"Really, babe? You couldn't even give me the slightest hint that you got a new job?" James questioned from the other side of the phone. His voice obviously sounded like someone who was disappointed.

"I'm sorry, babe," she replied as she opened her eyes and let out a sigh. "I only wanted to make it a surprise to you when I come over, but now, it's all in the open."

"Still, you should have told me," he complained.

"I'm sorry babe."

He was silent for a few seconds before he finally replied. "I'll call you later in the evening and we'd talk about how your first day was, okay?"

"Yeah. Thanks babe."

"Talk to you later, love you."

"Love you too." And with that, she hung up the call. She let our another sigh, knowing fully well that she could never tell her boyfriend about what her boss told her at the office today. She knew the type of person James was, and she wouldn't want any sort of trust issues matter in their relationship. That moment, the driver arrived at the front of her compound.

"Here. It's fine here," she told the Uber man. Carrying her bag, she got down from it and headed inside.

As she approached their apartment's door, she noticed that it wasn't locked from the outside, meaning that Phoenix was in.

A look of confusion crossed her face. "She didn't go to work today? A Monday?" She muttered to herself as she turned the door knob and walked in. Immediately she entered, she sighted Pheonix on one of the sofa, lying down on it with a dull look on her face.

"You're back," she said with a very cold voice, opposite of the usually lively Pheonix.

"Uhm, yeah," Isis replied and walked to sit next to her on the sofa. "Why didn't you go to work today? You look kind of dull, babe. Are you okay?" She asked her with a concerned look on her face.

Without a word, Pheonix handed a kit to Isis and she immediately recognized it as a pregnancy test kit. "What are you doing with this, Pheonix? What's going on?"

"I'm pregnant," Pheonix dropped the bombshell. "Yayyy," she added sarcastically.
