Chapter 79 What would have been
Vince followed his Alpha to the training ground, new found confidence and bravery in his veins but yet nervous. He kept rubbing his sweaty palms against his jersey pants. Lorenzo said nothing of it. His nervousness increased once they entered the training ground and he saw Victoria. She was coaching a few of the young kids.
"Join her." Came Lorenzo's order. He nervously obeyed.
She ignored him throughout the entire two hours of practice, only engaging him when need be and after she zoomed off without any word. He followed her, catching her right in front of her house.
"Victoria." He called, holding unto her arm.
He expected her to lash out at him or break his bones but she stayed calm, looking him in the eye.
"What?" Even her voice was chilling.
He swallowed.
"Can we talk?" He asked, moving his hand down her arm to hold her hand gently. Her eyes followed the movement, narrowed.
"I'm listening." She replied, looking back at him.
