Chapter 58: Second Chances

The sun had already set down and darkness dominated the entire place. Daniel and I were walking along the sidewalk, a deafening silence consuming us. It was already eight at night and people were starting to diminish in this area we were in. The street lights and cars' headlights lit the place, as we strolled down in utter silence with the breeze blowing to our skin.

I wrapped my arms around me, hands rubbed both sides of my shoulders. It was getting cold and I could feel my lips chapping. At the side of my eye, I could sense Daniel casually glancing at me. When he suddenly stopped walking, I did the same thing and gave him a curious gaze.

He slid his jacket off his shoulders, down to his masculine arms before it was completely off of him. He moved closer to me and wrapped his black, leather jacket around my arms. I flashed an appreciative smile, tugging the hem of the jacket to cloak my freezing body.

"Thanks," I mumbled
