"You want to borrow my truck? You know I don't allow anyone to drive my truck. I'm the only one who gets to drive Paris," I declared when Alison asked me about it. I had a Ford F-150 truck, and I treated it like it was my firstborn.

It was Thursday night. I agreed to meet up with Alison and Michael because she told me it was an emergency, but I sure as heck wasn't letting them borrow my truck.

"Um...we are not asking to borrow or drive your precious truck," Alison said irritably.

"You named your truck Paris?" Michael said, sounding amused.

I ignored him. "Then what are you asking me?" I asked Alison.

"I...well, we wanted to ask if you would like to take a little trip with us," Alison said.

I raised my eyebrows. What was up with the last-minute plan? "Trip? Where to?"

"I have to go home to my parents in Florida, and my car broke down," Michael said.
