"I can't hear ya!" Jessica shouted back. "Wait here, let me go find him." Cara was enjoying the time of her life that evening at the club, except, her husband was nowhere to be found. It was their second year anniversary and it still felt like yesterday when she had said yes to his proposal. "Okay, just drink more. It's your day!" Jessica passed her drink to her, watching Cara sip from its content. "Come on, don't be a bore! Drink up." "You know I'm drunk already." Cara placed the cup on the table, her eyes scanning the room for her husband, Chris. "I'll go get him. And you should drink up, honey. It's not like you're the one who's going to drive. Chris will take you home, and you guys can have the night of your lives tonight. Who's gonna be on top in bed?" Jessica teased her friend as a smile worked its way to her face. "Shut up, Jessica." Cara felt her cheeks burn red. Everytime she thought about anything sexual, she found herself blushing like a fool. Even though she was a married woman and had sex with Chris most of the time, she still blushed. "Lemme go now. Just stay here, and don't you move your ass, okay?" Her friend was already walking out, leaving Cara to herself. They threw a party at a club with some of Chris's friends, with Cara showing up with Jessica, her only friend in the world. Besides Romeo of course. But it had been two whole years since she spoke with him last. Thankfully, Jessica has been around by her side the past couple months. Eighteen months to be exact. She still remembered how she and Jessica had met at a bar when Cara had visited with Chris on her birthday. "Hey," a friend of Chris, Max, stopped in front of her. "Where the hell is Chris? We need his ass down here for our adult game. It's getting sensual down there, you should come too!" It was obvious Max was drunk already with the way he dragged his words and from his staggering stance. Besides, he was always so formal with her but now he spoke so casually like they were friends. A colleague of Chris hurried to join them. "Yo, Max, come on." Max struggled. "Let's bring her over. She's blessed with these crazy curves, I imagine she'll be a badass on the dance floor. We need hotties--" "--ignore him. He's fucking wasted." Mathew, Chris's colleague said to her. "Hey, have you seen Chris?" Cara asked. It seemed suspicious as Mathew glanced around, watching like he'd just seen a ghost. "Nope. Nothing. I dunno." He blinked. "Come on, let's go, Max!" And with that, he disappeared. Cara got up, now getting curious. The whole room was spinning as soon as she bounced on her feet, and her body felt warm and cozy like she was one giant vibrating being. This irritating nauseous feeling began to form in her throat but she forced herself to walk around. There was a room by a corner where the loud noise of music hitting the speaker dulled down and the area felt very calm in a pleasing manner. "Damn it, I'm so tired." She muttered to herself, caressing her forehead that was now banging. "I mean, I'm sure Chris paid for a reserved space. I just wanna lie down..." The thought of laying on a sofa chilled all her nerves. Mathew with another guy rushed forward to her. "Miss Cara, where are you going!" That was Matthew's voice. Cara turned to see all of Chris's friends and colleagues now before her. "Huh? Oh," she seemed dazzled as to why she was being queried by these men. "I just wanted to lay down for...for like, a while." Her tone was slurred and she didn't mind. She was tired. "I just want to rest for a while until Chris comes." "But-" Mathew wanted to say, but he stopped himself. "You tried your best, bro." Said someone else, resting his hand on Matthew's shoulders. Mathew sighed. "Okay. You can go in." The way their facial expression seemed so doomed was what made Cara begin to grow suspicious. What was in there? She watched as they took big steps backward, shaking their heads like she was just about to find the dead body of her parents in there. She shrugged off that dangerously taunting thought and instantly reached for the door knob. Twisting the handle gently, she pushed the door open regardless of what she might find in there. The room was nothing special with just a long couch in front of her. The color of the walls dulled the room, and with the ugly looking lightening, Cara wanted to head out already. Nothing was in there so why were they afraid? She was smart to stay close to the door. She wouldn't want someone appearing from behind to suddenly shut the door tight-- "Damn it, just like that. Hmmm...that's it…!" It was a moaning sound from a woman. The thought that there must be a couple somewhere there making out sent shivers down Cara's spine. "Great, I'm in a p**n room. Shit!" She muttered as she made a mental note to quickly rush out. A loud grunt was heard in a pleasurable tone. "Fuck, I'm about to cum! You're the best, Jesse. I love you!" Then she heard his voice. It was hard to miss. Jesse? Who the hell was Jesse! With anger coursing through her veins, Cara stormed in, hitting all the light switches to brighten up the room and boom! Just by the corner was a big bed with two naked people in a standing ovation fucking and moaning loud like the world was about to end. And did it hurt her to the very core that her husband was out there in one of the hottest sex positions she knew with a complete stranger?! It was nothing compared to the next thing she was about to see. With Cara in the room, Chris quickly pushed the lady away and grabbed his boxer somewhere to cover up his nakedness. "Cara? Oh my goodness, Cara what--" He paused, glaring at the lady with him who's back was facing Cara as her naked slim butt flashed before Cara's eyes. "Didn't you say she was drunk somewhere? What is she doing here!" Chris began to mutter, though loud enough Cara could hear. Cara's mouth opened but no words could form. What the hell was he talking about! Then, Jessica turned to face Cara in her full glorious body. "I thought I told you not to get up from there?"Cara sat opposite Vicky, staring at the strange woman. She had been surprised when she received a text from her asking them to meet over coffee. She was curious as to why the woman had asked them to meet up out of the blue. She flashed a smile as Vicky looked up at her and chuckled. She had been intently focused on sipping her latte. "Oh, so sorry for making you watch me drink my coffee." Vicky apologized with a soft laugh. "I just need a lot in my system right now." "Oh it's alright." Cara admitted with a chuckle. "Please," she pointed at the latte. "Drink as much as you need." Vicky smiled. "Aren't you considerate? I think I'm good. I hope I didn't call you out from work while you were doing something important?""Oh no," Cara waved her hand. "I was actually at home. I suddenly felt tired so I left work as soon as I got there." She admitted with a soft chuckle. Vicky shared her laugh. "Trust me, I've been there. I know what it's like. How far gone are you?" "Oh, almost seven
Romeo didn't flinch neither was he afraid, the face he saw was simply... Unexpected. "Oh I'm sorry... For--" Giovanni said, stepping fully into the room. "I just thought-- I mean I wanted to--"Vicky pulled away from Romeo at the sound of a voice and hid her teary face away. Romeo smiled. "It's fine, there's no need for apologies. You didn't interrupt anything." He turned his gaze to Vicky. "Take care okay? And let me know when you get home."Vicky wiped her face and nodded with a smile on her face. "Of course. Thank you for today, I'll see you around." She punched his shoulder playfully and turned around to leave. On her way out, she bowed her head to Giovanni and walked out without uttering a word. Giovanni's brow arched as he watched her leave. He knew that he knew that face. "So," Romeo said, pulling Giovanni's attention back to him. "Did you come here to say hi or to ask me to convince my wife that she should revisit her traumatic past?" He asked with a smile on his face. O
Cara laid down on the sofa in her office while Abigail checked her vitals. After checking her blood pressure, Abigail returned the machine and packed up everything she used. "You've been thinking again, haven't you?" Cara chuckled guiltily."Cara?" Abigail frowned as she planted her hands on her hips. Cara grunted softly as she sat up. "It's not my fault okay? Something happened yesterday."Abigail sat down, a worried experience masking her face. "What happened? Is it something serious? Is it about Romeo and his first love?" Cara shook her head. She sighed softly. "It's about someone I hate to even think about. You remember Jessica right? The woman I told you about who used to be friends with me and then the whole snatching of husband thing." She gave a roll of her eyes as she explained. "I remember her as clear as day. What happened to her?" "Well," Cara tucked her hair behind her ear. "My husband's friend, they're kinda like brothers, Giovanni, you remember him right? He came
Romeo could see where she was heading with the conversation, he would be lying if he said he had not expected her to bring up their past during a conversation. Camilla had also told him that even though Vicky was married, she would still try to talk to him about a relationship or maybe hint at it. He knew that look in her eyes, the way she looked at him when she made him know just how much she cared about him. He couldn't act ignorant about knowing. "Have you heard from your kids?" He asked her, hoping to redirect their conversation. If anything, he was sorry to her that the future they once imagined for themselves was now unattainable and would remain that way forever. Vicky cleared her throat. "Uh, yes. We talk. We talk every day. Matthew as well, he can't stop telling me how much he misses me although he supports me." Romeo nodded his head. "Try to take a short break even though you just started, I don't want you making another decision you'd end up regretting later."She smi
“I'm– I'm sorry, that sounded weird. My son is obsessed with car racing and he has one person he idolises. That's you! Your posters are everywhere in his bedroom.” Abigail explained, still feeling flustered. “Oh…! Wow that's an honor. I'd like to meet him sometime if you don't mind.” Jastrow said
“Did you hear? The hitman, your friend's ex boyfriend right? He's been sentenced to twenty years in prison.” Romeo said to Cara. He waited for a response but didn't get any. When he stared closely at her, he realised that she was there but her mind was elsewhere. He placed a hand on hers as he ca
Morning soon melted into afternoon, the guests and the bride and groom all partied together, drinking expensive champagne and cakes of different flavours. Cara felt a hand tap on her shoulder and she turned around, only to be blessed with the best surprise ever. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed.
Cara turned to the side with a soft grumble. She felt like she was going to throw up. Sitting up in bed, she wondered why she was feeling that way when she didn't even have alcohol. She wanted to call it morning sickness, but she wasn't sure if it usually happened at midnight sometimes too. Rubbi
