Cara threw on her clothes and shoes as she got ready for work. Her hair dangled in a ponytail behind her while a black skirt wrapped around her curves. A white long sleeved shirt over her shoulders with a black red bottom heel.

As she reached for her bag, her phone started to ring and she felt anger dawn upon her as she saw the name Chris on the screen.

She didn't know why she hadn't deleted his number after all these months.

Taking a breath to calm herself down, she answered the call in a stern voice. “What is it?”

“You still have my number saved on your phone.” He said with a calm tone that was highlighted by surprise.

“Is that what you called to check?” She angrily questioned him. “Because if that's it, I want you to know that some of us are busy– too busy to be playing games–”

“Your car is ready, would you like me to deliver it to your address?” Chris cut her off asking.

She swallowed her anger and responded. “No, tell me where to pick it up and I'll be there.”

“Okay,” he responde

  • His Greatest Regret    Her Son's Bedroom

Morning soon melted into afternoon, the guests and the bride and groom all partied together, drinking expensive champagne and cakes of different flavours. Cara felt a hand tap on her shoulder and she turned around, only to be blessed with the best surprise ever. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed. “Abby! Oh my goodness! You came!” She wrapped her arms around her best friend and pulled her into a tight embrace. Abigail's soft chuckle flowed with the air as she hugged Cara back. “My darling, how could I not? It's your wedding day!” Cara was so happy to see her friend there. She smiled. “I wouldn't have come to my own wedding because I didn't even know it was happening!” She exclaimed with a childish giggle. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she pulled her friend in for one more hug. “You've been so busy! I barely get to see your beautiful face anymore. How's your son?” “I know right!” Abigail exclaimed with a roll of her eyes. “He's fine. He's part of the reason I've been so busy alt

  • His Greatest Regret    A SECOND WEDDING

Cara flinched as she felt firm hands cover her face, shielding her from seeing anything. “Wha–”“Relax.” Romeo said softly before she could speak. “I have a surprise for you and I don't want you to see it until it's ready.” “Hey, don't you trust me?” Andrew said, giving Romeo a slight punch. “Everything's ready.” Romeo simply shrugged and led Cara down the path ahead. Andrew started at his best friend. “Tch…” he scoffed a laugh and shook his head before following them. Cara hated the feeling that sprouted inside her body. She was very anxious and excited for what Romeo had planned for her, of course she wondered how he could have done something like that when she was always by his side. But the feeling she hated most was how vulnerable she felt at that moment. In the dark, there was nothing she could rely on except the one who led her. She trusted Romeo with her life, so it wasn't the situation she hated– being blindfolded– but the vulnerability that came with being in the dark.

  • His Greatest Regret    THE DISCHARGE

“Is there really nothing I can say to make you change your mind?” Cara asked as she crossed her arms underneath her breasts. Romeo tucked a toothbrush into his bag as he responded. “Unfortunately and fortunately, yes.” Cara sighed, throwing her hands up in the air. “You're just so stubborn, you know that right?” Pausing, Romeo dropped his bag on the hospice bed and walked over towards her. With his hands slid around her waist, he pulled her closer to himself and arched his head to the side slightly. “Carina, my own Cara, you know that I would never go against your words, I love you so much and I will do anything you ask, anytime at all. But I'm fine now and I don't need to stay here anymore, I want to go home and be with you.” “But I'm here with you,” she said softly, “and I'll always be here with you. I just don't want any complications, I want you to be completely healed before you leave here. You were shot for goodness’sake!” Romeo's lips curved into a gentle smile, h

"He was obsessed with his ex wife, Mrs Cara Armani, and attempted to kill her new husband during their wedding ceremony--"The TV went off as Cara turned it off with the remote. She placed it on the table as she folded the extra bed spread. "At last..." She sighed softly. After Jayden's confession, it took them three whole days before they could locate Chris and arrest him. But she was relieved. It was over. Finally. "Why did you turn it off?" A masculine voice asked from behind her. "Oh sorry, I--" She turned around to look at the voice that had spoken as she reached for the remote. The remote dropped to the ground with a clatter as she realized who had spoken. Romeo was sitting up in his hospice bed, his emerald eyes shimmeri

  • His Greatest Regret    Panama City

Pacing around outside the office non stop, Cara chewed on her nails while trying to gather her thoughts. Jayden? How come? Why? Why was Jessica's obsessive ex boyfriend the one who shot Romeo? What kind of connection was there to it? She didn't understand, nothing made sense. No matter how she tried to link it to Chris, it went back to Jessica. Was it Jessica who wanted to turn her wedding day into a mourning day for her?Was Jessica pretending all along just to get herself out of the city and then kill Romeo? But why? So Cara would not be able to have her happily ever after? Could she really be that psychotic? "Mrs Armani, I'm going to have to ask you to calm down." The police officer said to her. He handed her a bottle of water and let out a soft sigh. "Here, drink this and calm down. Can you tell me how you know that man in there?"She accepted the bottle of water but didn't drink it. As she stopped pacing, she looked into the office where Jayden was being held and she felt ange

  • His Greatest Regret    The Suspect

Walking over towards the couch, she had never felt any more hesitant in her life before. Her fingers caressed the fabric of the dress, a pretty white dress turn red. The scent of flowery detergent caught her nostrils, making it known that it had been dry cleaned, yet red stains were still visible. She would have never believed it if someone told her her wedding dress would be soaked in her husband's blood. She didn't cry, she couldn't. She didn't remember how to. On the table close to the chair was a letter carefully folded in half and placed on the lid of a small food container. She picked it up and opened the letter, "Go easy on yourself for the sake of the baby. Joshua." It was only after she read the letter that she remembered she was carrying a baby. What would become of their baby if Romeo never woke up? Was their unborn child already fatherless? What would she tell the child? That his father died because of her?It was her fault anyway. If she had never gotten herself tan
