She walks into the class. The classroom was filled with students. Only she was fresher. Other students got enrolled at the school a year earlier than her as she joined in the mid-year.
She had not seen anyone belonging to a poor background, all the students seemed from richer backgrounds.
She sat on the last bench in the last row and fetched out a book from her bag.
“Hey, Are you the new girl who arrived in mid-section?” a girl asked enthusiastically. Saliha raised her head, a girl wearing a bit bigger spectacles frame which was quite suiting her face. She was grinning. She had straight black hair and a slim figure. Saliha throws a smile at the girl.
“I am Hania, I am in your grade,” the girl said, stretching her hand in front of her, Saliha shook hands with her and said, “Hello, I am Saliha,”.
“So, what was the reason for you moving here all of a sudden?” Hania asked and sat on the bench next to her.
“If you dared to tell anyone who you are and where you live....” the Devil's warning words echoed in her head.
“Nothing, just had to migrate here. I want to study medicine and in my hometown there is no medical field institute,” she said, hesitant. Hania nodded.
“Have you walked around the whole institute?” Hania asked while writing something in the book. She was indeed talk-active.
“No, not yet,” said Saliha.
“Fine, I am obliged to show you around. I have been studying here for a few months. My father is in the Battalion, and he often moves around the country. We came here to the town 9 months ago. Childhood memories, we used to live here when I was 4, and at the age of 4, I had to leave this town due to my father's job and finally, I am back,” she said.
A girl entered straight away into the classroom. Saliha discerns her. This girl was there when Saliha was almost about to get bullied, and she was the only one who came to blows with that senior guy, named Emad. Saliha already knew that this girl had temper issues, and she instantly bullied the bullies. This girl is a wild cat.
She was looking around for a place to sit and after a while, she got the seat on the bench next to Saliha and Hania.
“Hey, another newbie,” Hania congratulated him.
The girl looked at her and smiled. It was the first time Saliha had seen her smiling.
“Hey, I have seen you,” she said to Saliha, who hesitantly looked at her, “Yeah, I have seen you as well, you were great,” said Saliha.
“Where?” asked Hania.
She chuckled and told her everything.
“Holly moly, you offend a senior? You are indeed something,” she said happily.
“Well, it was fun,” said the girl. “My name is Hunza, I just moved here because my previous institute was unable to see my pretty face because I broke the principal's face,” she said, apathetic.
Both Saliha and Hania gasped.
“You did what?” asked Hania, astonished.
“You heard darling, luckily it was only his face I was aiming at his balls,” she said.
“Whoa, Whoa, Whoa calm down, you are indeed so dangerous,” said Hania.
They were chatting with each other happily. It was the first time Saliha had friends to talk with.
**********
He was sitting in his car for more than twenty minutes, but there was no chance of her coming.
He had punched the steering in frustration.
“Where the heck is she?” he muttered and, after a while, she walked out. He looked at her angrily. She was looking around nervously.
“What is she looking for? Am I her servant? What should I do now, lift her in my arms and help her get seated,” he said, angrily, and got out of the car.
She was thinking about how she would go home, as Aunt Eliza told her that Roman would pick her up from high school, but there was no sign of him arriving.
All of a sudden, a car hastily stops in front of her, making her startled. The door opened, and he appeared with his glory, annoyance, and invariable arrogance. He got out of the car and walked towards her while clenching his teeth. She walks backpedals.
“What are you waiting for? Madam?” he scowled, clenching every word under his teeth.
“I, I was looking for you, I never knew that you were going to take another car,” she said while staring at the car, afraid, and he realized that he was not in the same car he was in the morning.
His blue eyes filled with anger, and he walked towards the car and opened the door and got in.
She was staring at him afraid. She took a deep breath and walked towards the other side of the car.
She got in and he started the car. The whole journey went on in silence.
*********
“Saliha dear, how was your day?” asked Eliza, smiling. She was going somewhere with her husband. She was looking beautiful wearing a long red dress and silver jewelry.
“It was a wonderful day, aunt,” she said, smiling.
Roman was sitting on the couch and typing something on his phone.
“See, I have told you that you are going to like it there,” she said, happily.
“I have made a few friends, and they are so cool,” she said innocently. He looked up at her instantly and his eyes laid on her. There was something in his eyes that made her shiver through her spine.
“Okay dear, I am leaving. Your uncle is waiting in the parking yard. Please take good care of yourself. We will be back by the morning,” she said, smiling.
“Morning?” she asks, hesitantly.
“Yeah, they live in different towns,” said Eliza, smiling. She seemed slightly nervous.
“Oh dear, don’t worry, we will be back soon. You are not alone, Roman is here,” she said, pointing at her son who was staring at nowhere on the painting expressionlessly.
Without a single word, he got up and walked towards his bedroom.
Eliza headed towards the parking lot.
Saliha took a deep breath and headed towards her room. Every time she went to her room, she was obliged to pass his room, which gave her dismayed feelings. She was not cowardly and abject, quite the contrary, but he always gave her the feeling of Androphobia.
The slow music could be heard, and the identical signature fragrance was indicating that he was inside. He was talking to someone on the phone.
“You know what, I don’t care about her, just forget about today,” he was telling someone on the phone.
“Just leave, tell me what you are doing?” he asked, as he was talking to someone on the phone.
“Oh ho Munaza, don’t worry, I am coming,” he said, smiling.
She felt her heart drop to the stomach.
“He's got a girlfriend,” she thought sadly.
Just then, the door in front of her opened hastily, and she found him staring at her, scowling.
Yeah, she is so dead.
His blue eyes were furious. She felt he had snatched her soul away. Her legs go numb.
*************
He was staring at her with his intense cold blue eyes. “What are you doing here?” he growled. She began to shake with fear because of his anger issues. “Were you spying on me? How dared you?” he screamed. “I, I was…” the words got stuck in her throat. “What the hell do you think you are?” he asked while walking closer, covering the distance between them. He looked so dangerous. His eyes were turning red due to anger. “I have told you to stay away from my room, haven’t I?” he screamed while grabbing her right forearm, tightly. His big strong hand and stronghold make the blood flow stop in the veins. She hissed. He was staring into her hazel eyes. “Please, let me go, I have not heard anything,” she pleaded. He pins her against the wall. He bent on her. His warm breath touched her lips. He was breathing calmly and, on the other hand, she was restless and anxious. “If you dare to come closer or walk even an inch around me, I will make you regret your birth,” he said in a cold, si
Meanwhile, at Hunza's House “Enough, I am not responsible for giving you answers, Raheem Burar Alvi,” she screamed. “Aina, you are crossing your limits,” he screamed in return. “I am crossing my limits? Am I?” she asked while pointing her index finger at her chest; "Raheem, you are the one who is screwing around with your 'deals',” she air-quoted her fingers. The twins were watching a horror show while eating pizza. They exchange looks. They shrugged and started eating again. The quarrels of their parents were now so spiral. They seemed to give a damn about their fights. “Do me a favor, Brother. Please increase the TV volume,” Hunza said. “I have an idea. Let's go for a long drive,” Kashaan said. She looked at him instantly. “Now that’s something I wanted,” she said excitedly, and walked out of the launch. "That's how we are twins," said Kashaan aloud. They knew their parents would not ask where they were going, or they would not notice that they were not in the house. ***
“Could you get the car out of the underground parking garage? I will be back in a few minutes,” said Kashaan. She nods. They were standing in front of the restaurant entrance. It was a cold evening in December. He walked towards the parking entrance, “Oh God, it’s cold,” she whispered while rubbing her bare arms. After a few minutes of walking, she was a few steps away from their brand-new Audi. She looked for the keys inside her bag, but the keys were not there. “Stupid Kashaan, he forgot to hand me keys,” she whispered. “Now I have to stand here and freeze to death,” she thought. She looked around, and the parking garage was empty. It was a huge place and more than two hundred cars could adjust in it. A car with black window glass entered the passageway of the garage. She looked at the car with a glance and ignored it. She was talking to Hania about their upcoming test through text. Just then, the door of the car opened and two men appeared. Before she could understand, the
She shoots a soft slap on Kashaan’s shoulder. “I think we need to teach some games to these juniors,” Emaad said with a smirk. “Fun time,” said Haeem said. "Wait, we should not," said Zain, concerned, while looking at Saliha who was laughing. She had no idea he was looking at her. "Oh come on, it won't hurt a thing," said Haeem. They got up and walked towards the table where Saliha and Hania were sitting with the others. “Hey,” Emaad said in a deep voice with a smirk. Saliha's smile disappeared. She always found this boy mysterious, especially his intense green eyes. “Hey, you are the guy from last night?” asked Kashaan, and got up from his chair and shook hands with Emaad. Emaad shook his hand coldly. “Well, I am her senior,” he said while pointing at Hunza. “Yeah, she informed me about you,” said Kahsaan, smirking. He smirked in return and sat on an empty chair. “Well, I heard she is very fond of dogs,” Emaad said while looking at her. She looked up at him and clenched h
He dragged her to the quiet place, and then he looked at her from top to down. She could feel is dirty eyes on her. The cold air was touching her forehead.“I will not force myself on you, but I will show you something which will lead you to come in my arms automatically,” he said with a smirk.“What?” she asked, angrily. He chuckled and then he showed her the ring. Her expression turned horrible."I will destroy it, or worse, I will give it to your fiancée," he said.“No, you can’t do it,” she said, screaming.“Oh baby, I can, I know where you live. Do you think that day when you escaped I left you?” he asked in a sinister voice. Her face turned white. He threw her on his car's bonnet and her hand hit the car's sharp light holder, harshly. She was bleeding. He pressed his body against her. She was struggling.“Accept what I want or else I will show you how much I need you. What will they think? That we are having an affair if I could, keep this ring?” he said. Her heart jumped, and tw
Dear Diary My life has become a dry spell. I don’t know what I want. I am not a moody bitch, neither am I a badass. I was a good girl, so still, I am a good girl. I am tired of playing victim. I know, I know life has led me here, but I don't know one thing, why I could not satisfy this society, not this society, but any society. Maybe I don’t belong to any society. I belong to no one. I am me, a person who has got nothing but space in her. A voice in my mind says so, Saliha, no one is responsible for your actions, no one but you. Do I? Whenever I make myself calm by telling myself so, I feel like a rebel, but can slaves be subversive? They do? Here my thoughts got stuck. I don’t know what it is, I know what my thoughts are for. I feel like I am under his damn power, I feel like he is snatching me away from my very own self. I, Saliha Roman Ali Gardezi, am not even allowed to keep his name with me. Why does it matter to me? It is because, since the beginning, I have loved him, since th
She settled the food on the tray perfectly and walked towards his room. The door was slightly ajar. She walked in. His room was indeed huge and well-settled. He is an organized person. She looked around but he was not there. She placed the tray on the nearby table and then her gaze fell on the balcony. Her pupil widened after seeing him sitting on the chair and staring up at the sky. He smokes cigs while getting lost in deep thoughts. She gulped and walked slowly towards him. “Eat something,” she said, trying hard to be normal. He is the devil, and I am in the devil's cage. He did not look at her nor respond. “Mum said, you will get sick, please eat it,” she said. He looked at her this time and his eyes were turning red due to anger. He got up from his chair and walked towards her and grabbed her right hand, which was bandage free. “I have told you to stay away from my things and my room,” he said in a sinister voice. “I, I came here to give you food,” she said. “Get lost,” h
He was driving expressionlessly. She always felt when he was around that she was sitting on some blocks of ice.She looked at him from the corner of her eyes. His expression was cold, light brown hair had fallen on his forehead and his intense blue eyes were on the road. He looked as if he was a perfect sculpture.“Have you done staring?” he asked in a deep voice. She looked away instantly. Her heart was beating fast.He stopped the car, and she came back to her senses. He was not looking at her.“Do you need an invitation?” he asked. She looked at him confused. “Get out of my car,” he said. She looked around to see if they were in the college parking area. She did not realize that he was this fast.Idiot.She opened the door from her side and got out, walking slowly towards the entrance. He stared at her for a while, but she didn't look at him. He inhaled and started the car again.“Hey Saliha,” he was about to take a turn when he heard a deep hoarse voice. He looked in that direction
