Desperate for a breath of fresh air, Milan took the initiative and reached out to Columbia Law School Admissions regarding her readmission. Within twenty-four hours, they confirmed her eligibility. This news sparked a glimmer of hope in her life. For the first time in two years, she sat down to compose a letter to her dad and older brother in the United States. But, she hesitated to send it.Fear weighed heavily on her heart, and she couldn’t bring herself to confront the possibility that something terrible might have happened to them. Milan felt an intense wave of regret for eloping with Giovanni Rocci and leaving her family. She grappled with the guilt of the pain she had caused them. She was her family’s cherished daughter, and she had vanished without a trace or explanation. Forgiveness felt out of reach, and she couldn't even muster the courage to ask for it because she was convinced that her actions were irredeemable. As time went on, her initial excitement began to fade

Milan jolted awake, her heart racing as remnants of a nightmare clung to her thoughts. In her dream, she was running and blood was gushing out of her, yet she kept urging herself to run, leap, and escape.
But as the fog of unconsciousness lifted, a startling realization hit her. It was not a nightmare. It was her harsh reality.
“My baby…” she whispered, instinctively placing her hand over her stomach, her thoughts swirling with concern.
She didn't know if her baby survived and how long she might have been out.
Just then, a nurse entered with a gentle smile, carrying a tray. But Milan was lost in her thoughts, trying to piece together how she had ended up here.
“Signorina, I’m so relieved you survived. You’re such a fighter,” the nurse said warmly, her eyes lighting up with genuine care. She was the one who treated Vito and was tasked by the hospital to be in sole care of Milan while she was in a coma.
Milan’s gaze flickered to the entrance, and she mustered the stren

“You need to see a doctor. Your wounds are open, and you don’t look well,” Jay asserted, glancing at Vito as he navigated through traffic. Meanwhile, Vito's mind was chaotic. A lingering sense of dread consumed him, but he couldn’t pinpoint why.
When he remained silent, Jay pressed, “I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Take me home. I have a doctor there,” he replied firmly.
Jay let out a frustrated sigh, taking in Vito's bloodied shirt and exhausted demeanor. “I said I wouldn't ask questions during our timeouts, but this time I can't hold back.”
“No questions,” Vito snapped, briefly shutting his eyes against fatigue. “Just take me to the estate.”
Jay nodded. He knew the Salvatore Family ancestral mansion's location from a previous visit Vito had made with him.
After Jay dropped him at the estate, Vito thanked him for the ride and promised to reach out soon.
Jay said goodbye and drove off. Inside the house, Thomas, Alessandro, and Raphael stood uneasy, shivering as t

Suddenly, he grabbed her neck, choking her again. “You have such strong feelings about my brother, so I can’t help but wonder if you’re truly carrying his child,” Antonio said, a mix of curiosity and tension in his voice. As he studied her captivating eyes, with trembling lips that hinted at secrets yet to be revealed, he couldn't help but understand why every man he knew was obsessed with her. She was breathtaking.
He decided right there to make her his willing toy.
“I don't care who the baby's father is. The child must die.” Antonio declared.
Milan’s gaze hardened. She shook her head, crying out loud for the first time. “Please spare my baby. You can’t do this to me. This is a violent crime that can land you in jail!”
Antonio booted her, and before she could shield her stomach, the impact already landed.
“How dare you teach me law!” He snapped. “I’m the cop here. You are just a dropout!”
Milan felt a sharp pain in her stomach, the piercing cramps nearly causing

To keep Mateo alive, show up at Angels Den unaccompanied.
Reading those words plunged Milan’s heart into pure terror.
There is no running from the torment I have built for you, Milano.
That specific notification was the one that had dropped earlier in the morning, slightly waking Vito.
Milan had overlooked it then, desperately trying to stay calm for the sake of her baby. Now, helpless confusion took over.
She no longer knew what to do.
Angels Den belonged to Vito. He would eventually know if she went there.
Forcefully inhaling, Milan tried to steady her racing pulse. She had to remain calm for the child growing inside her. But, agonizing indecision paralyzed her mind.
Should I actually show up? Is Angels Den still within Vito’s control? What if this is a trap?
 Something must have happened.
Was walking straight into a trap the only way to save Mateo?
A sudden, sharp vibration made her jerk violently. Her phone was ringing. The screen displayed an unknown n

Vito woke to a soft, insistent tapping on his bedroom door. For a brief second he let himself believe it was Aurora following their morning routine. The house felt strangely hollow that evening. Milan stood by the dressing table, slipping on a pale blue dress that fit as if it had been made for her. “You need to stop drinking,” Vito finally spoke to Milan, his voice low, controlled, but with a touch of rage. “You’re hurting yourself.”She scoffed, grabbing her glass from him. “Oh?
