Twaine's Point of View :

I'm still restless because of what happened recently. Did Kyle see my naked body?

"God! No!" I suddenly shouted here in my room. I hate those cockroaches, they ruined me. Why did I grow up afraid of just a little cockroach? Ugh!

Kyle then saw my body. Yes, we're married, but even so! He shouldn’t have seen me naked.

I am Twaine Isabelle Montenegro-Mendez, the little wife of Kyle. I am 17 years old and a 2nd-year college student.

Since I couldn’t accept what had happened earlier so I left my room and went to Kyle’s room. I threw stones at the door of his room and kicked him out of annoyance.

"You bastard get out of there!" I shouted as the door of his room continued to slam.

"What the hell is your problem, little girl?" He suddenly appeared in front of me so I stopped crashing into his room because he came from the kitchen.

"Why did you peek at me?" I shouted at him while slapping his chest.

"I didn't mean that. Go to your room and sleep—"

"— so, you get a little taller." He added that annoyed me.

"Are you insulting me?" I asked him angrily.

"Are you insulted?" He answered me with a question. I slapped his chest even harder with my two hands.

"Will you stop or will I get you pregnant?" I was stunned by what he said. So I immediately removed my hands from his chest and immediately entered my room.

"Ugh! I hate you!" I shouted at him before finally entering my room.

"I hate you too!" He shouted back. Grrr! Why did that man even become my husband?

After I entered my room, my lampshade suddenly turned off, so my knees seemed to shake and I couldn't move.

"Ahh!" I shouted because of so much fear.

"Kyle!"

"Daddy!" I kept shouting because the light in my room was still off. I can't move to run out.

"Twaine—" I immediately hugged Kyle as he entered my room.

"I'm scared." I cried while still shaking in fear.

"Don't be scared, I'm just here," Kyle whispered to me while caressing my back and hair. Because of what he said I cried even more and hugged him tightly.

"You can sleep in my room again." He said. I just nodded and followed him.

"I'm going to sleep on the floor—"

"No! You can sleep beside me. I'm still scared." I told him. At the same time, I immersed my face in his chest.

"Are you sure you want me to sleep beside you?" He asked surprised. I just nodded.

"Okay, we'll be sleeping together in my bed." He whispered.

"Thank you." He just didn't say a word. He caressed my hair as I leaned on his arm. In that position, I feel very safe. Gradually, drowsiness also visited me so I closed my eyes.

Kyle's Point of View :

After I felt that Twaine was asleep I slowly removed her head from my arm. My arm felt aching because of the weight of this short girl's head. I also closed my eyes to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to Twaine. Well, again. That little girl was still asleep. I started preparing our breakfast and then I also took a shower and got dressed.

"Good morning!" Twaine greeted me.

"What a miracle—you woke up early?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Is it bad?" She asked pouting.

"Stop pouting, you still look like you're too short!" I pissed her off.

"Compared to the old monster?" She smiled and said once running inside the bathroom. I just sighed. She knows how to piss me off.

"Please just lock the house, and be careful going to school," I shouted at her at the door of the bathroom. She takes so long to take a shower, that's why I need to leave the house first, before her.

"Wait a minute, wait for me!" She shouted back.

"I can't wait for you anymore, Twaine, and we're not allowed to go together. All right, I'll go first." She didn't answer so I left the house.

When I arrived at school I was immediately greeted by Ms. Roxanne.

"Good morning Kyle." She smiled at me.

"Good morning Ms. Roxanne." I also smiled to greet her.

"Drop that Miss, just call me Roxanne." I just nodded.

"Can we have lunch together later?" She said.

"Why, aren't you with your friends?" I asked her.

"No, I don't have any friends here."

"Is that so? All right, if you want, we can be together." I was surprised by what I said.

"—every break time, I mean," I added.

"Sure, no problem." She said trying to hide her smiles.

After we talked, we also parted ways with Roxanne.

I met Twaine on my way to their classroom but she just stared at me emotionless.

"What's the problem then?" I just asked myself.

I went out of Twaine's classroom without her glancing at me because she was busy dealing with that Jeremy.

I just ignored her. Teenagers, nowadays.

"Kyle!"

"Oh, Roxanne." I greeted her.

"Let's go?" She asked.

"Okay."

Roxanne and I went to the cafeteria together. From there, my attention went to Twaine and Jeremy, they're together again. I just shrugged.

"That was a pain in my eyes." I just shook my head to avoid thinking of them.

After Roxanne and I had lunch, I went home. I'm only half-day now because I have something important to take care of in the office.

"Why are you already here?" I asked Twaine who seemed to be had just arrived as well.

"Don't talk to me." She said calmly.

"What is your problem?" I asked.

"None of your business." She said rolling her eyes at me. What's the problem with this kid?

"Okay. I'm leaving right away, too." I told her trying to ignore her sudden changes of behavior.

"Why, do you have a date?" I stopped and faced her. She sounds so different now.

"Nothing, I just have an important business to take care of," I answered her question.

"Okay. Have a safe trip." She said full of sarcasm.

I just ignored her. I just got dressed and went out right away.

"Are you going out too?" I asked her.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"—and you're wearing off-shoulder and shorts?" I asked annoyed.

"What is it to you?" What a stubborn.

"Twaine, get dressed!" I told her angrily.

"No!"

"Twaine!"

"Why are you interfering? Who are you in my life huh? You're not my Dad so don't dictate me!" She shouted at me. Seriously, Twaine?

"Don't yell at me!"

"You're there again! It's none of your business! what do I want to do? You're out in every decision what I wanted to do! You're just my husband in papers, Kyle!"

It was as if something hurt in my chest because of what she said.

"But you're my priority! But if you don't want me to interfere with you? Fine!"

Before I finally exploded I left the house. Why is this child stressing me out now? Damn!

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Epilogue

Kyle's Point of View :It's been a year since the accident happened and it's still fresh to us. What if the plan I had made for her ended in disaster? I still thought that day was the best day for us. But like I said, I just thought. "Daddy, stop crying, Mommy will be sad." My daughter weaned me sadly. I just laughed because she stopped me from crying and then she cried too. "Daddy can't help it, Baby. I miss your mom, I miss her so much." I said as I stared at her intently. "Me too, Daddy, I miss her so much." "It's my fault Dad, maybe If I didn't scare her through calls she's still with us, right? I hate myself, Daddy!" She started hurting herself. She's blaming herself for her mom's sudden death. "Sssh, it's not your fault, Baby. It's not your fault, no one wants that to happen, okay?" I said to calm her down. "But—" "Don't be so stubborn, okay? Your mommy will be sad when you're like that." I get my handkerchief and wipe her tears. I pinch her nose to make her smile. "Oh—o

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Chapter 36: Too Late

Twaine's Point of View :I was happy to go home because it was finally okay. I have finally forgiven the person I first hated. I don't think I can do that despite what she did to me. "Ma'am, you look so happy! Only now have I seen you like that again." Manang immediately noticed me. I just smiled at her sweetly because what she was saying was true. I now believe that when you forgive you will finally get rid of the pain you feel, the resentment, and most of all you will be happy. I was destructed by the sudden ringing of my phone. I immediately shoved my cellphone into the shoulder bag I was carrying. "Mo—mommy! I-i need you here, I'm scared, Mommy!" My knees seemed to soften because of my daughter's pitiful voice. "Ba-baby, where are you? Where's your Daddy?" I almost cried when I asked her. But she had no answer, all I could hear was her sobbing until she was completely lost on the other line. I felt so uneasy because of the possibility that my daughter is in danger. Her voice,

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Chapter 35: Forgiveness

Kyle's Point of View :"Daddy, where are we going?" Alexandria asked me happily while I was driving the car. "To your Grandfather and Grandmother." I replied."Really? Hmm." Her happy expression suddenly became sad. "Why?" I asked after I saw her frowning. "Mommy's not with us. I'm sad." she answered. I just smiled because of what she was thinking. She was very much like her Mom. "Don't worry, your mom will come later." I said smiling. Her face suddenly brightens. "Really? But she's mad at you, Daddy." She's now pouting which is what Twaine usually did when we were together. "I know. But believe me, she'll come later." I said surely. "Okay, if you say so." she said. I just continued driving and when we got home Mommy and Daddy greeted us happily, as well as sister Kaira. "God, my granddaughter! Finally, we saw you too." Mommy almost said as she continued to kiss and hug Alexandria. "You look so much like your mommy, God!" My sister, on the other hand, started harassing my d

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Chapter 34: Deal

Twaine's Point of View :"Mom where are we going?" My daughter asked after we left in a hurry at her Dad's Office right away. That's why I was almost out of breath as I walked into his Company because that's what I am going to see."Let's go home, baby." "But, Mom?" "Alexandria, Mommy is tired. Let's go home, okay?" I know how excited she is to see her Dad and be with his Daddy but I can't stand to see Kyle after what I've witnessed earlier. My God! AM didn't say a word, so we went home quiet. AM immediately went to her room when we got home, I knew she was sulking because of the bad incident earlier. I was just sitting in the living room for coffee when Kyle suddenly came. I jumped to my feet and faced him. "What are you doing here?" I was able to open up to him. "Twaine, let me explain," "Let you explain? For what else, Kyle? For what else? We both know that from the beginning nothing was done right!" I continued. He just remained silent as if he was still waiting for somethi

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Chapter 33: Mistaken

Twaine's Point of View :"Mommy, I miss Daddy Kyle," my daughter said sadly. I approached her and hugged her. She has been like that for several months every time she comes home from school, every time she wakes up in the morning she has nothing else to say but her Dad. I don't know either, but I haven't heard from Kyle either. It has been almost three months since he returned to the Philippines. For the first few months he was still calling us, updating about what he's doing, but only after about a month he suddenly stopped contacting us. I don't want to think that he forgot his promise to our daughter and to me, but it seems like that too. He told us that he'll going to comeback after a month but its been 3 months and yet he's not here. "Ssshh, don't cry, Baby." I told my daughter who is now starting to cry. I don't know what else I can say to calm her down. I almost told her every possible reason why her Dad isn't yet coming back."Mommy, let's go back to the Philippines, pleas

  • His Little Wife (ENGLISH)   Chapter 32: Leaving

Twaine's Point of View :"Good morning!" Kyle greeted us warmly as he left his room. "Good morning too, Daddy!" Alexandria greeted him back. It's Sunday now, so, I am not in the Hospital. I woke up early to prepare breakfast for Kyle and A.M. Ever since we came back here from the Philippines, my work schedule has always been busy. I don't even have time to take care of my daughter, it's really good and Kyle is here to watch over and take or pick up our daughter to school. "Good morning," I also smiled and greeted Kyle. The day he decided to come with us here in Canada, not everything went easy. I've been adjusting being with him. It's because I'm not used to it, maybe because I've been used to it for almost six years—without him. "By the way, your flight is already tomorrow, have you fixed your belongings?" I asked him while I was busy putting food on his plate. I stopped after he held my hand. "I want to take you home with our daughter." His eyes were talking as he looked at me.
