Luc's POV
I cannot stop shaking with anger. How dare she? I have started believing in her, and she has shown her true colors. I am an idiot to believe in another girl. I should not have included her in such a crucial negotiation. My concentration is not entirely in the meeting, and I left the discussion with the rest of the team. I will check with James later on that. She spoiled my day.
I sense James entering the room and sits in front of me, but I never lookup. Finally, after ten minutes of silence, I see him sitting and checking on his mobile. Sensing my change in attention, he looks up and chuckles at me.

Lia's POV I stare into the screen saver displaying Alastair Corporation's logo. As if the monitor is tossing it across space like a ball. Not that it is the exciting thing in the world to look at. But my thoughts are too chaotic to do any work. It is only two months since we got married. But it seems like years. What an exciting time frame. And I haven't thought about the ball this Saturday. I am not a person who buys a new dress for every occasion. I suppose it is normal to feel like that. Why should I have to buy a dress for every new event? First, we have to list the items donated, confirm the same with the donating person by signing below the list, put them on a bag, and pin them in with the number mentioned in the form.
