Chapter 17

“Baby I will wait for you forever.” Luis says as he kisses her forehead before adding, “Okay maybe not forever to have you but I will wait as long as you need.” He says with a chuckle.

Veronica giggles and snuggles into his chest. “I just need a little time after everything that happened with Tony I’m just a little out of sorts. Rest will help I’m sure.”

“Yes let’s sleep.”

Luis pulls back the blankets as Veronica goes into the bathroom to get ready for bed.

The bathroom is large. It is an all-white room with a large lighted double vanity just to the left inside the door. On the far wall is a jetted, soaker tub that looks large enough for four people. To the right is a large walk-in shower with a large shower bench on the one end with a glass wall separating it from the rest of the bathroom. There is a door between the tub and the shower where Veronica finds the toilet.

She quickly finishes her business and brushes her teeth. Then slips on her night clothes. She comes out in short
