Author's Pov

Enzo walked faster, his intentions uprising to the face of the earth. He spinned every second he got to stop, hitting his hands on the wall. He felt so ashamed that Lucian, a mere rival, a lonesome Alpha who was just not his level was getting on his nerves and his so called wife was also making everything worse.

Hayley was never fierce, neither has she responded the way she did to him. He cracked the wall and called his favorite beta in the pack. If anything was going to go wrong, it wouldn't be traced to be his fault. The minute Lucian gets his hands on the influencing things to rule his pack, he might just be ahead of him and that wasn't safe for his pack members.

“Luckily, I know someone. Damnit, I thought I was losing my mind.” He shrugged, went out of the passage and called Zane again. “Pick up, you idiot.”

The next few minutes, Zane's call were turned to voicemails and Enzo looked up. “Selene, do something.” He cried.

There was no way he could have a nice sleep without making sure everything was fine. Who knew what Lucian was planning? After few minutes of rambling and grumbling, he decided to drive his secret safe home. He thought to himself, “Everything will be fine. I just need to do one thing.”

He sighed, dropped his bag and rested on the couch. They safe home was meant for times that needed him to be absent, and staying there at that time was just ridiculous.

His phone buzzed right beside him, and on the screen was ‘Zane’. He picked up and cursed at him. “We're you ignoring my calls, dimwit?!”

“I'm sorry, Alpha. The party was a disaster after you left and the silverlores launched an attack immediately. I had to settle it and was able to capture two of them.” Zane reported.

“Take them to the pack and come to the safe house. Answer no one and I want you here in 30mins.” He ordered, sipping the cold coffee he made while he was on the call.

As soon as Enzo ended the call, he looked up at the painting in the room. It reminded him of his beloved sister, the one that died while he was being a random geek with no sight to hold. She was a heart full of arts, and every crafts in the pack was made by her.

He scoffed, “ I should have known better, there's no going back now, Rhea. I'll do just what you asked me to.”

Enzo stood up and picked up the files that all informations were recorded. “Lucian, that piece of shit.” He cursed under his breath. Staring at the files that woke him up to see the bad side of Lucian.

His phone rang again, an unknown number. He picked and recognized the voice over the phone immediately. “Enzo… where are you?” She asked, her soft voice condemning how much he doubted her.

“I'm somewhere outside the pack territory. Why? Is there a problem?”

“I'm not sure if it's a problem for you, but it's a problem for me. I can't sleep with all this noise around the pack. Can't you keep your people in check?” She groaned. Enzo remained silent, he didn't know what she was talking about.

“Listen, whatever is going on, I know you can handle it.” He answered.

“Come back to the pack, I want you here… oh my.” She uttered. Her voice shaky and cracky.

“Hayley, say something.” Enzo urged, her silence killing him.

He could sense the fear in her voice as she spoke, “There's…there's blood everywhere.” She screamed. Enzo dropped his phone and carefully left the safe house, drove as fast as he could to the pack. It was a twenty minutes drive and he was disturbed as fuck.

It didn't take fifteen minutes to get back to the pack, only to find Zane on the floor. He called out to Hayley, she ran out shaking and started to rant.

Enzo shut her up, “Look at my face. Calm down and just get a dress and get to the car downstairs. I'll send Stella to you.” He ordered and ran back up to the stairs. Lucian stood there, smiling like one who had won a trophy.

“I couldn't find Hayley's room, mind telling me where she is?” Lucian's voice dripped with sarcasm.

“You bastard!” Enzo lunged at him with a punch on his face. “What have you done, you animal.”

“We're all animals, fool.” Lucian retorted, cleaning the blood that dripped from mouth. “Ouch, that was a hard punch.” He said, keeping his gaze on Enzo looking out for frustrated he was already.

“What are you doing here?” Enzo asked, trying not to move his fist. Avoiding everything and to keep his profile low. Lucian always thought he was stronger than he is, Enzo knew better than to show off his strength. Afterall, he has never been in a physical fight with Lucian.

Lucian took a step further, looking for any hint of fear in Enzo's eyes, “I know you're trying to keep your position as the Alpha King and the most recognized out there as well, but do you really deserve it?”

Lucian stretched his hands back and signalled for a fruit, his betas standing firm. He took one bite and continued. “Listen Enzo, you're just one useful pawn for me to get everything I want. You wouldn't be here if your father hadn't given it all to you. We both know the strongest owns the earth. And I must say, you took such a nice ground for your pathetic wife. I might just save her life and make her my mistress.” He smiled. Enzo kept quiet still. Not taking any step, not even a word.

“Are you going to remain mute?” Lucian asked, feeling miserable. He wanted retaliation, he wanted him to speak. Enzo kept staring at him, with his hands folded, “You know I wouldn't make a move and fight you, that'll be below me.”

“Are you saying you can't fight me?” Lucian asked, frustration building inside him.

“No, I'm saying that you need to grow up and learn your place and stop causing trouble. Hayley's not here, and you're just being a moron.”

Lucian chuckled, “Hayley was such a crybaby, I never knew she'd be married to a weak man like you. But what can I say? I was out of town and you just took over, adding Hayley to your list of things.”

“She's not just a list of things, she's my wife.” Enzo argued. Sniffing and growling, he removed a knife from his pocket. “Come at me and stop talking.”

“Oh! Now you're ready to fight. Well, I don't want to anymore. I just want to talk, I want to talk about how much Hayley would be the easiest way for me to get to you….”

Lorenzo's POVI was close to shifting. I could feel the rage in my wolf and the sudden energy radiating through my veins. I didn't need to look around. Golf Palace was already empty. No one would dare to witness a fight between two giant Alpha Wolves. Not even Damon, who stood at the entrance of the club, fidgety, waiting for the right time to escape. But I didn't let that happen. I couldn't. Not when I'd actually started the fight. Or when Lucian was looking to make a fool of me. The little ruby wasn't worth an iota of my attention, much less my wrath.“Let's get out of here Damon,” I finally said, letting out a long stream of breath to release my anger. “I shouldn't wreck a million-dollar investment because of a loser.”“Is that true Enzo?” Lucian scoffed, “Because from the looks of things, you're the scared one. In fact, your life is centred around fear. You're afraid to lose your kingdom, your wife, your business and then your stupid and weak wolf. I'm no match for you, Enzo, and

Stella's POV I watched Fiyero crash into one of the chairs in the council room, and bury his head between his palms. He was not only sullen, but he was frustrated, even discouraged. I couldn't name my happiness. It was one of those moments I felt my head swell with pride. First I got rid of the Luna's Crest, dashing Hayley's hope of a stable rule, now his alliance with Hayley had been dissolved, and now... The Doctor! Dr Malcolm, that vulture-looking old hag. Yes, Hayley mentioned having an appointment with him. He had been in the service for the pack long before Lorenzo was born. He was good at his field, holding the record for the most impossible surgeries done. I hated that, I hated him. As soon as I heard Hayley close the door of her suit, I slipped out of my Hiding place and dashed after him, calling out his name as he approached his car.“Mr Romano! Can I please talk to you for a minute?”Fiyero heard my voice

Hayley's POV “Stella! Have you lost your mind? You can't address me in that manner.” Are those words, A mischievous glint crossed her face, then a small smile at the corners of her lips. “Very well then. I don't have the Luna's Crest. I think you should return to your suite, for the sake of your baby's health.”“The Crest has something to do with my baby!” I couldn't help the quiver in my lips or the crack in my voice. “There is something terrible happening. I need to have the crest!”“And I already answered. I don't know where it is. I must've said something about a gift, but it isn't that old item. You can go to the moon temple and speak with the nuns, they know more about the edifice than anyone alive.” “But why have you suddenly changed again Stella?” I moved away from the door, but I didn't forget to leave it slightly open. The aura around Stella was once again unfriendly, but I wasn't ready to be deterred

  • His Luna His Queen    Chapter 25

Hayley’s POVI had risen long before the household stirred, slipping quietly into the garden just to avoid Lorenzo. I busied myself with the flower bushes, pruning, trimming, pulling weeds that didn’t need pulling. Truth was, I wasn’t tending to the garden for the sake of beauty. I was hiding. The memory of last night sat heavily in my chest. My heart still hadn’t recovered from it. We had just begun to find some rhythm together after so many years of living like strangers. So when I heard the sound of his car starting. I finally allowed myself to breathe. Relief washed over me. I dusted soil from my fingers, abandoned the garden, and hurried inside. My feet carried me to the upper floor, toward Stella’s chambers. Perhaps she could give me some answers, though a part of me knew approaching her was dangerous. Still, something pulled me there.I knocked softly. Silence.I waited. Knocked again.Sti

  • His Luna His Queen    chapter 24

Lorenzo’s POVThe morning sun did nothing to warm me. It only sharpened the ache I carried from the night before. My throat still felt raw from the words I had hurled at Hayley, words I wished I could take back.I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the empty side where she should have been. No imprint on the sheets, no warmth. She hadn’t returned after leaving in the middle of the night, or perhaps she had returned briefly, then risen before dawn just to avoid me.Either way, she wasn't beside me.I dragged a hand over my face, heavy with guilt. What had I done?It felt as if, after years of cold distance, she and I had just begun to find each other again. The bond we had ignored for so long had started to grow quietly between us. But I had shattered it last night in my temper, in my suspicion.I should have spoken gently. I should have asked instead of accused. But patience had never been my virtue, a

Stella’s POVThe walls in Lorenzo’s mansion were thinner than he realized. Or maybe I had simply grown too skilled at lingering in shadows, pressing myself into corners where I could drink in every word not meant for me. I had attained a deeper height in eavesdropping, good for me. From the hallway outside their room, I heard the first sharp edge in his voice.“Who took this picture?”A pause. The sound of rustling fabric. Then Hayley’s voice, uncertain, too soft for my liking.“Why are you asking me?”I smiled, tilting my head against the wall. My plan had landed exactly where I wanted it to. The picture I slipped into his path like poison in a wine glass had found its mark. Now, the venom worked through both their veins.“You and Fiyero,” Lorenzo snapped, the words hard enough to slice. “Why were you seen together like this?”The smile curved wider on my lips. Oh, Lorenzo. How quick you were to doubt. How easy it was to plant rot in the garden of your so-called trust.I leaned agai
