Humiliated at Midnight

Aria’s POV

That night, as soon as I entered my room, I shut the door behind me. I rested against the door, my back sliding until my buttocks hit the floor.

I didn’t know why, but I just kept sobbing.

Was it Kael ridiculing me to nothing? Asking me to be his mistress while Vivienne became the Luna? Or Luna Beatrice entrusting Vivienne in my care?

That night, I wished the world would just end. How could I live in the same house as the woman, my own mate... the man I loved, chose over me?

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   The Future Luna Must Never Kneel

Aria’s POV The aura radiating around Alpha Lucas was suffocating. Even the temperature in the room seemed to have been terrified that it dropped instantly. “Father?” Kael’s eyes widened in shock, immediately rising to his feet. Alpha Lucas didn’t say anything. He walked deeper into the room, his sharp gaze fixed on me. And the instant he noticed how my body was trembling and my tears-stained face, something terrifying flashed across his eyes. Was it rage? Or was it the dreadful desire to get his hands stained with blood? “Who,” he repeated slowly, his deep voice echoing through the four walls of the room. “Dared ask the future Luna of the Silverfang Pack to kneel?” No one answered. Not Luna Beatrice, not Kael, not Vivienne, not even Cassandra, who had been looking at me with contempt. Alpha Lucas stepped fully into the room, his eyes hardening with every step he took. “Are you all deaf?” he thundered, pointing his finger which was shaking out of rage, at them. “I asked a qu

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   Forced to Kneel

Aria’s POV The humiliation burned my face like acid. How could he? How dare he ridicule me in her presence? Vivienne noticed pain flashing across my eyes and she smiled victoriously. “Oh. You think I didn’t know how he ridiculed you out there and told you to become his side piece while I become the Luna?” she mocked softly. “He told me everything after he came banging on your door, before heading back to our bedroom,” she said, putting malicious emphasis on “our bedroom” as though she wanted to spite me. “How you told him he disgusted you. How you walked away from him only for him to chase after you and force a kiss on you…” she said, and the more she spoke, the deeper her words sliced into my chest, like an axe chopping into raw wood. “And guess what?” she continued, leaning in. “He laughed about how emotional you were.” “That’s a lie,” I whispered weakly, though uncertainty slowly crept into my chest. Her words were too detailed for it to be lies. Did Kael really laugh... at

That night, I wished the world would just end. How could I live in the same house as the woman, my own mate... the man I loved, chose over me? Even though Kael came knocking and repeatedly called my name that night, I refused to answer. “Aria, I’m sorry. Please, let’s talk,” his muffled voice echoed from outside. I covered my ears tightly and buried my face into my knees. “Please, go away,” I whispered brokenly amid my tears. Silence enveloped everywhere before another knock landed on the door again. “Aria, please let’s talk,” his voice came again. A bitter laugh escaped my lips. Talk? What was left to talk about? What could h

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   His Mate... Not His Luna

Aria’s POV “Mate?” I repeated slowly, staring at him in disbelief. Kael’s expression shifted instantly. It was as if he had uttered a word he was never meant to say... like he regretted the word the moment it left his mouth. His jaw tightened, and he looked away before scoffing. “You heard wrong,” he muttered coldly, avoiding my eyes. Why? Why was he trying so hard to hide his feelings from me? Why couldn’t he just admit that I was his mate and he wanted me? What was so difficult about that? My brows furrowed. “No, I didn't. You just referred to me as your...” I tried countering, but he interrupted me. “I said you heard wrong!” he snapped sharply, cutting me off. His sudden outburst made me flinch. For a few seconds, neither of us spoke. The cold wind blew the strands of my hair against my face, carrying the heavy tension in the air. Then Kael stepped closer, his eyes dark and stormy. “I don’t want to see you with Lucian again and you will never become his Luna,” he sai

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   Another Man Brought My Mate Home

Aria’s POV By the time Lucian dropped me off at home, it was already dark. None of us said anything throughout our journey home. After what happened at the parking lot, Lucian figured out I needed some time alone, so he didn’t push further. He pulled in front of the Silverfang pack gate, the headlights slowly dimmed as the car engine stopped working. For a few seconds, none of us moved. The tension in the car was thick enough to make us choke. I waited for him to say something... anything, but when he didn’t, I reached for the door handle. “Aria,” his voice came from beside me, making me halt in my actions. I rested back into the seat, but I didn’t turn to face him. “Yes?” I responded, staring outside the window. “Are you still angry with me?” he asked in a low and cautious voice, as though he was scared of making me even angrier. The question caught me off guard. Slowly, I turned to face him, only to be met with his eyes which were filled with nothing but uncertainty and

  • His Luna by Mistake, A Mother by Fate   Obsession or Love?

Aria’s POV I stormed out of the restaurant in a rage, my chest heaving up and down. “Aria! Aria!” Lucian called from behind me, but I didn’t stop. All I wanted was to just get away from there... from him. How could he be so ruthless? How could he beat someone up so mercilessly and return to the table like nothing had happened? The image of the blood-covered man kept flashing across my eyes repeatedly, making my stomach twist in horror. “Aria, can you please just stop? Let’s talk this out,” Lucian’s voice came from behind me again, but this time closer. I ignored him and hastened my steps. I walked across the parking lot with my shaky hands wrapped tightly around me as though trying to stop my body from trembling further. I heard hurried footsteps behind me, and before I could react, I felt a hand grab me from behind, stopping me in my tracks. “Aria,’ Lucian softly called. “Get your hands off me!” I snapped, my voice trembling. I yanked my hand away immediately and tu
