Closing off early at my warehouse job at the factory, I return home with a bag of groceries and a pounding headache. The house is silent as I step in and a sigh escapes my lips. Although there's still a long way to go before it's time for my date, it won't be bad to get started early.

I eat a late lunch and spend the rest of my time, cleaning the entire apartment and preparing a meal for my sister when she arrives. She's on a strict diet thanks to her gastrointestinal disease and the last thing I want is a flare-up. I wasn't joking when I said I have no money to give anyone.
