Chapter 12
Octavia’s POV
Sitting at the dinner table looking at Troy I can’t help but feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
After making a plan with him to take things slow and try dating I don’t feel so used anymore, maybe this can work in all our favours after all.
I look around the room wanting to tell Uhtred, but I can’t see him. “Has anyone seen Uhtred?” I ask to no one in particular.
Troy stiffens and looks up at me. What is he hiding?
“He said he had a few things to do in town and won’t be back until tomorrow, but he said he will be here to greet your mother when she arrives.” Beta Jaxson says.
Oh, crap I forgot I have to pick her up in the morning. Wait Uhtred never said anything about going to town.
“Yes, Troy will be escorting you to the airport. You both will need to leave early; they arrive in Christchurch airport at ten am.” Alpha Ray speaks up.

Octavia’s POV After hearing about my uncle at the restaurant, everything was happening so quickly I was struggling to control my emotions and powers. Thank the goddess Elijah is here helping remain calm, though it’s not quite as effective as Troy. For some reason just touching him calms me down. Troy’s POV “What the hell is going on?” everything looked like it was going well… well I mean it all looked rather strange from our point of view; both Octavia and Silvia were silent, kneeling over Ragnar’s body with their hands out, Octavia’s eyes were a mixture of purple and blue and Silvia’s were completely white, but then, out of nowhere Octavia drops to the ground and the skies turned dark with rain pouring down on us all. Octavia’s POV I can tell Troy is a little uncomfortable and wants to give us space, but mum is right I do need him. After he picked me up, I started to feel better and so did Piper, I could feel my powers subsiding inside me which is a good thing because I have no idea what would have happened if I completely lost control instead of passing out. Octavia’s POV It feels weird waking up alone, I was just starting to get used to waking up next to Troy, though I didn’t actually get much sleep. I had a dream about my uncle, Ragnar, he came to me and told me there was a prophecy and that I must remain calm, and all will be revealed after my birthday. I tried to ask him questions but every time I opened my mouth to speak nothing came out, it was as if I was put on mute. I woke up feeling really confused and just put it down to being over-tired. It’s still pretty early so I decide to go for a run, I haven’t let Piper out since I got here, and she has been a bit restless lately.
