“What time did you get home last night?” Sean asked as he fell into steps with Aliyah on their way to school.
Aliyah shrugged, “well, I threw a couple of stones at your window but how could you hear it when Monica was screaming so loud?”
Sean blushed and brushed into her with his shoulders, “you came back that late, when did you get to sleep?”
“Oh I don’t need much sleeping,” she smacked her lips, “I’m pretty good without much sleep.”
“Yeah, because you sleep away in class,” he rolled his eyes but before Aliyah could respond, three girls walked up to them and he hissed.
“Hey Ali, what’s up?” a blonde haired girl that was leading the other two asked with a smile.
“What do you think, Natasha, don’t I look okay?” Aliyah asked with a raised eyebrow, crossing her arms on her chest.
“Oh you know, I just want to know, you know, with the blood moon coming soon and the fact it’s going to be your fourth mating ceremony. I don’t know, do you think you would find him this time or is it going to be another ‘aww, better luck next time’ kind of day?” she laughed with her girls. “But anyways, just know that I will be praying for you that you will find him, you know. After all, the fate of the Blue Moon pack depends on it. Oh, I forgot,” she covered her mouth for a second and then smiled, “if you don’t have a mate and your father dies, the high table would just appoint another Alpha and that would be the end of the Alpha power in your bloodline.”
“Wow, thank you for teaching us the history we already know,” Aliyah clapped, “but too bad, no matter who would be chosen, it won’t be your Mate nor your brother, how sad.”
“You don’t know for sure,” Natasha said, “Eric is the best wolf in the back for now and no one is going to take his place anytime soon,” she bragged with a smile. “I know it must hurt that I ended up being his mate when everyone rumored it would be you, plus the fate that he is your ex, how sad,” she made a sad face.
Aliyah scoffed, “well, too bad that you haven’t seen through this, no matter how good you think you are, you will always be my copycat. Picking up the things I dumped.”
Natasha growled furiously at her words and furs started appearing on her face in her quest to transform. “Girls,” a voice called and they all turned to the man standing by the tree, “it’s school premises,” he reminded.
“We are sorry, Beta Aton,” they apologized immediately.
Aton nodded towards the school at them and they turned to leave, “not you Sean,” he added and Sean stopped, winking at Aliyah who glanced at him before she walked off.
“Dad,” Sean greeted, walking up to him.
“Did Aliyah leave the clan last night?”
Sean felt his heart miss a beat but he reined his fear in immediately, “no.”
Aton sighed and placed his hand on his shoulder, “son, I know that you care about her but as the future Beta of this clan, the betterment of the pack should be your first priority. There is a reason going out at night is forbidden, don’t forget your role son in order to make your friend happy. You know the consequences if the alpha is to find out.”
Sean didn’t say anything and Aton sighed, turned and left. He watched his father’s back as he left, ever since he was a boy, he had been surrounded with the praises of how good his father is at his job and how he was the best Beta Blue Moon pack had ever had. He could still remember how he had wished to be like him and he still does but if his father should remind him of his duties, it means he is not doing it well. He blew out a deep breath while running his fingers through his deep brown hair. Another sigh left his lips and he stumped his foot before going after Aliyah.

“What are these things?” Edward asked, glancing around at his well furnished living room.
“Oh,” Rasmus smiled, “with each passing century, the humans develops new things, new gadgets. Like this, this is a television,” he took the remote and turned it on.
“There are tiny humans in it, is it an easier way to find someone to feed on?” Edward asked.
Rasmus laughed, “no, your highness, if you break that screen now, you will see nothing but wires. It’s a faster way the humans communicate with the world at large. It’s a transmitter, it transmits visual images and sound and they use it to broadcast programs like entertainment, information and education. Here,” he brought out his phone from his pocket, “this is called a cell-phone, it is just like the television but more portable. But this one comes with a plus, I can pass message to you no matter the distance and you will receive it in seconds. I can even call you, and no matter where you are, we can talk and hear each other’s voices.”
Edward listened with less interest, “I see,” he replied, glancing away from the gadgets and taking in the differences in his house, “it’s strange but okay. I guess I can leave with it.”
Rasmus smiled, “let me show you around your highness. Wait till you see their mode of transportation,” he chuckled and went to a drawer to get the car key of a Maybach and turned to show the key to Edward with a proud smile. “I had acquired it in your name. I stumbled upon your treasure room and changed a few gold bars into cash. It was how I was able to get all these things,” he glanced around the whole living room. “Two or three gold bars are a lot of money now. I hope you don’t mind me touching your treasures without your consent your highness?”
Edward waved him off, “I have no use for those gold bars anyway. Your forefather and his mates helped me to acquire them back when we were still in action. We just store them since we have no use for them,” he shrugged, “let’s go, I’m interested to see this ‘transportation’ of yours,” he stood up.
Rasmus smiled, “of course my Prince, please follow me,” he did a curt bow and then led the way outside. Edward squint his eyes when he came in contact with the sun, but right after he had gotten used to the light, he took a good look of the scenery surrounding him. He had built his castle on a mountain but everything has changed now. It was still on the mountain no doubt, but the scenery had changed and he had no doubt it had to do with Rasmus, the man was making him like him more with each passing second. He turned behind him to talk to him only to see that the man was still standing in the shadows of the house, “what is the problem?”
“This is the one thing we envy the originals for, the ability to walk in bright sunlight. Only the direct descendant of the originals can walk in the sun but even they would be wary in walking in such a bright sun,” Rasmus explained.
“I know of the decrease in power with each new birth, but I didn’t think it would stop you from going into the sun at all. We naturally prefer moving at night because our senses are heightened by then, I guess that’s why I never took notice of the changes in the newer generations,” Edward said.
“You have been asleep for a long time my Prince, a lot of new discoveries has been done about us but it all points to the fact that we can never be like you, ‘the original’. Your senses are sharper than ours and you are ten times stronger than we can ever be. Without you in the picture, the strongest of our kind is the direct descendants because your blood is stronger in them than the rest of us that comes after. They are the rulers of our kind now, they are known as the high council and they govern over every Night Walker council in the whole world.”
Edward nodded, “I see, a lot of changes have been made.”
“Indeed my Prince,” Rasmus concurred, “in my quest to show you the new world, I have forgotten the time. If my Prince could be patient enough for a few more hours to go by, as the third generation, I can walk under the evening sun without the fear of being burnt, I can show my Prince around by then.”
“Very well Rasmus, but I would like to take a little run, my powers haven’t fully returned but I have missed running in these woods.”
“Of course my Prince, while you are away, I will take the time to send news to the high council that you have awakened.”
“Not now, Rasmus, not now,” Edward said.
“But my Prince…” Rasmus was saying when the whooshing of the wind stopped him, telling him that the man was long gone. He sighed, staring at the spot he was standing only but a second ago before he turned and went into the house.
“My lord,” Melissa appeared in the room and Cedric bowed to her. Ignoring him, she turned to the man standing close to the window. “It is done, the dark prince has fallen. I saw him with my own eyes.”The man standing near the floor to ceiling window closed his eyes and a soft smile appeared on his lips. “I know, I can feel his passing.”“You must be happy, my Lord,” Cedric asked with a grin, “your biggest threat is finally out of the picture.”“Indeed I am, Cedric, indeed I am,” the man turned to them, his eyes were a dark brown and Melissa sighed in relief for not seeing his demon eyes yet again.“There is only one problem, my lord,” she said.“And what is that now?” the man asked.“The wolf, the rogues failed in capturing her and I wanted to do so myself but the prince had used his demon power right before dying. He had carried her and the pure blood witch away in a tornado.”“What?” The man asked, shocked.“Aye my lord.” Melissa nodded. “Not all royal blood demons had mastered tha
Rasmus didn’t leave when Edward told him to. He knew Aliyah was safe back in the castle and so he lingered around and watched the fight. He had refused to take the bark from his father when he had given it to him this afternoon and had only promised to bring the prince out of the palace and in return, he would never acknowledge his father again. Bringing Edward out of the palace was the last respect he told himself he would to pay his parents and seeing how the prince was doing well on his own, he was happy he made that decision and also glad that Edward has forgiven him.Even if Edward hadn’t pointed him out, he had every intention of telling him the truth and asking for his forgiveness before the fight started and he had wanted to fight alongside him but he never expected the man to chase him out of the fight. He had been secretly watching the fight and rejoicing at Edward’s obvious victory until he heard a voice like Irene’s. He was still wondering what Irene could be doing there u
A low growl sounded and every alpha wolf that were perched on Edward were thrown miles away from him. His eyes burned red as his fangs elongated. He glared at the High Howlers who were getting ready to transform and he charged at Damien. However, a force hit him from behind and he was thrown ten steps back. He hit the brakes on the ground, digging up sand with a loud screech. He glanced up and saw Malachi, knowing he must have been the one that hit him now. He hissed, flashing his fangs at him and Malachi did the same, his eyes turning red as he attacked again.Being faster, Edward easily averted the attack but he grabbed onto Malachi’s collar and pulled him back before he ran past him. He delivered a heavy blow on him, causing the man’s head to tilt back and he heard the bone shifting. He flung him up, jumping up to meet him midair and delivering a powerful kick on his stomach, sending the man down with such force that a deep hole was created on the ground where he landed.A high chi
“You can’t win against me, Sean,” Steven yelled. The clouds covered the sky and it was so thick that the little ray of sunlight couldn’t even pass through. The lightening drew and Sean wiped away the blood from the corner of his mouth.“You don’t know that, I am still kicking,” he mocked, his fingers tightening on his spear.“That is because I am going easy on you.”“Really, and yet you are limping?” he scoffed.“We are howlers Sean, why are you protecting a nightwalker?”“I am protecting my sister and the mate she has longed for for so long. I am protecting my little nephew who you don’t want to see this world!”“He is a bad egg, he would kill us all!” Steven yelled just as a drop of rain dropped on his face. He wiped it away and glared at the boy in front of him, “you were there, you heard the witch.”“And I am telling you that she lied. Yes, he will be born with those powers she mentioned but I don’t think Selene wants to use him to eradicate her creation. Steven, the dark prince a
“Oh my God,” Aliyah screamed, her hand feeling her stomach immediately as she glanced in shock at the woman with her. “I felt a movement.”Irene rolled her eyes hearing that. “You are like two weeks pregnant, how can you feel a movement?”“I’m serious, Irene, I really felt a movement,” she chuckled, now caressing her stomach. The door suddenly burst open, surprising the two women and they both raised an eyebrow at the man that came barging in. “Is everything okay?” Aliyah had to ask when he did nothing but just scan the whole room with his sharp gaze.“I heard you scream, why?” Edward asked, going to her now to check up on her.Aliyah glanced at Irene and they both chuckled while Irene answered soon after, “Aliyah felt a movement.”Edward frowned at that, “I may not have witnessed pregnancy before but I also know that is not how it works. It’s still too soon,” he squatted beside her and caressed her hair, “are you sure that’s what you felt?”Aliyah rolled her eyes, “I know what I felt
“Are we really going to work with the nightwalkers?” A pack alpha asked.Damien sighed, “we don’t have a choice. To get rid of the vampire prince, we need the help of his kind. You lot need to see how he easily killed Elder Argon and he was a High Howler that had lived for over four hundred years. Imagine your warriors then and how easily they would be killed by him.”“Alpha Damien is right,” a High Howler sat up. “We should not belittle the strength of the Dark prince and also, we just found out that he is not just a nightwalker.”“Not just a nightwalker, what could he be then?” Alpha Ethan asked. He has been hearing stories about Alan’s daughter being mated to the vampire prince, he just couldn’t believe it was true and to think the union ruined his plan of seizing control over the Blue Moon pack. But he doesn’t need to worry now, with this, it won’t be a surprise if the pack ends up being eradicated and with Blue Moon pack gone, Black wind pack would definitely take it’s place.“He
