As soon as we reached the borders the sight in front of us made me freeze in place, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and I felt my knees go weak and my legs gave out making me fall to the ground. My head was spinning when I saw Melina's bloodied body. I can't help but blame myself for her condition, she wasn't moving, not even breathing which made me break. I couldn't stop my tears as they kept flowing down my cheeks, I felt Jared pick me up in his arms trying to calm me down, but I couldn't think of anything other than blaming myself for losing my friend and coven member.

She was the first one to become friends with me after I returned home, she was the one who was ready to put her life at risk for me, and what did I do? I put my friend in danger, I wasn't able to protect her, she trusted me and I let her down. I failed, I not only failed myself but the trust my parents, my family and coven members had in me. I heard voices around me but I couldn't compreh
