Chapter 3
"How are you feeling today, doll?" Xavier asked me as we sat across from each other in his second private office where he and I would hold my therapy sessions.
I sat in the chair, my knees together and my legs crossed at my ankles as I delicately smoothed my dress with my gloved hands, "I'm feeling better, Xavier," I smiled at him, "in fact, I was with Oden last night and we cuddled," I thought back to last night and how Oden held me and played with my hair as I slept on his chest.
"I'm glad. Has he hit you?" he asked me and I flashed back to the moment when Oden snapped at me months ago. I had accidently spilled hot tea on my hand, and Oden had gotten very upset with me.

The Huxx's were a busy family but they always made time for each other. I know that they run an important investment business and they're busy maintaining their standard of living. I followed wordlessly behind Bishop as we walked through the beautiful modern and masculine apartment. I could tell that it was a penthouse because it had the best view of the city that we were in. Everywhere I looked, there was a view of the night life.
