Chapter 9

I regained consciousness after some time, reality pulling me away from the comfort that sleep provided. My eyesight was blurry l, I was struggling to fight the fatigue and I couldn't understand what was going on. I didn't know where I was, who I was with or why I was here. I didn't even know how I got here.

I let out a small groan of complaint as my head pounded from an unpleasant headache. I wanted to massage my temples but my hands were bound. I frowned as my vision cleared and I looked down to find myself in a wooden chair with my hands bound behind my back in an uncomfortable and painful manner.

My feet were bound together with the same heavy rope that was practically digging into my skin.
