"Need a break" she muttered and stood. Grabbing the coat from the hangar, Lavina threw it over her shoulders making her way into the elevator

She stepped in and within minutes was at the bottom of the skyscraper

"Amanda I'll be right back." She said walking past her secretary

Lavina walked glamorously into her car and sat down. She inserted the keys making the car roar with life

Within minutes she zoomed off headed for a restaurant

Lavina stepped down from her car and no sooner than that a message beeped in her phone

"The hell...."with her eyes fixed solidly on her phone while walking

Unknown to her someone who was rushing from the opposite direction was also coming

Thus,they collided with each other

"Ouch,mi backside !'Melanie pouted.

"Gosh are you b...... Melanie!!!" Lavina exclaimed happily

"Ina!?,am dreaming! Ina !!"Melanie screamed happily throwing her arms over Lavina neck

"Melanie,I've missed you so much!! How ...how are you even here!?!" Lavina smiled largely

"It's a long". She replied smiling greatly

"Am down for it. Let's go somewhere more secluded"

"Seriously Ina it's been like forever!" Melanie wasted no time in saying immediately she settled down on the bench

They actual went to a park nearby. It's really chilly maybe cos the sky looks like it's soon gonna rain

"You telling me that?? Amigo you totally left me" Lavina pouted cutely

"Ina am really sorry. You of all people knew why i left. Never had an option. So you got adopted?' Melanie asked

"Oh...the rich millionaire? Lucky" she hit Lavina arm playfully

"I need to get going Ina. Lewis will be waiting for me" Laine said. Lavina could swear she's hearing things

She held a totally cranked and shocked expression staring at Melanie

She couldn't believe her ears. In her mind she's either dreaming or not hearing properly

"Melanie??" Lavina said slowly lifting her eyes to look at Melanie who continued smiling

"Yunno I got sold to a brøthel right?? Well,after I worked there for almost 4 years, Brandon decided to sell me to Lewis. Yeah,the idea of being sold to a cold mafia is really scary but. After I got pregnant,he turned sweet and....."

"You can't be pregnant for that FlyHeart! You can't be pregnant Melanie!! Abort the damn child,run away or do any fûcking thing! Just leave Lewis alone. He's a killer,a murderer, Laine. That bàstard kîlls for a living !!"Lavina suddenly yelled out..

Her veins popped out dangerously giving it a clear sign she's fûcking mad

Her hatred for Lewis knew no bounds. She wished to kîll and castrate him in the most gruesome wag possible

Her best friend,the girl who saved her from the stream while she drowned,the girl she spent half of her life with after while suffering an ammensia,the same girl who protected her countless times; is now pregnant for the man she hates with her life

".. Ina are you okay?....the hell!!" Laine let out a shrike immediately a drop of rain water made contact with her skin

"You still have your illness?"she Lavina asked as Melanie kept fidgeting

She already hid under a tree

"Let's go to my car Laine. Before it starts raining"Lavina said and led the way to her car

"L.. Lewis$ Lavina mumbled holding tightly to the steering wheel

"Why did I leave that stupid restaurant!? I miss him" Lavina turned her eyes to met Lanie only to see she's crying!

"I miss him" she bursted out In a loud cry.

"The hell??" Lavina stared at her akwardly before diverting her gaze back to the road

"Is she in love with him?" Lavina thought driving off to her mansion

Despite the amount of rain drenching on him , Lewis still knelt on the floor crying he's heart out

A life without Melanie in it seem so heartbreaking he couldn't help but cry

He needs her. The air is already suffocating without her presence

"Melanie!!!!" he yelled louldy burning his fingers in the wet soil. The fire already died down and most of the fire fighters were bringing out burnt out bodies

The crowd started dispering little by little

The lady who got interrupted by him couldn't help but drool

She held an umbrella over her preventing her from the rain. His hair stucked so stubbornly to his flawless face

His lips were looking extra tempting cos of the wetness and not to talk of his physique

The rain wetted his clothes to the extent his abs were in view

He turned quickly and rushed into his car

"H..he's so... gosh. He's a demi god!" Bexley mumbled watching him drive away

Graveyard Cartel**

"Boss!?"

"Lord Lewis??"

"What's he doing here!?!"

Members of the cartel muttered all rushing to the extremely spacious hall

Since it's raining most of the members were already in bed

"Listen the fuck up!!" he barked pushing a handful of his wet hair backwards

"A harlót Fiona or Salma,I dunno even know her fûcking name! I want that daughter of a bîtvh dead or alive. Before sun set tomorrow,bring me that bîtvh head !!"

"Yes Sir !"they all responded at once

Tikka stood from up the stairs looking down at Lewis

His eyes were bloodshot red, cos of anger and well...... hurt

With balled fists,he walked outta the cartel and drove straight to the mansion

"Melanie "Lewis said for the tenth times. He's in her room,with the blue teddy bear he won for her

The tears flooded down his eyes continuously,his right hand kept stroking the bear

"Melanie, you can't be dead. You can't die on me... Laine!" he cried loudly buring his face into the teddy bear

A bad headache already rented his head,his body temperature is on another level and well. His whole body in a horrible state

"Melanie!!" he cried again beginning to sweat profusely

Huge beads of sweat rolled down his body despite the rate at which he shivered

He laid down on the bed with the sheets on his body and arms encircled around the blue teddy

"Melanie "he cried hurtily

Brown's Mansion**

"The rash stopped right?" Lavina asked Melanie.

"Yeah, only the redness remains" she replied slowly

"I miss him badly Ina. I miss him,his touch and that cold attitude of his. Why did I even leave the restaurant??,I was so worried bout him that why I left. Now I won't be able to see till tomorrow. Mi sól!" Melanie whimpered letting the tears flood

"Her pregnancy hormones. She's in love with that mafia?. Laine" Lavina mumbled sliently

"Melanie you should eat, you haven't eaten since. What would you like to eat ?"Lavina asked. Melanie wiped her tears away and sniffed

"Maybe a pastor taco with beef please. A hot ice cream,some strawberries,a banana and an apple. A red one please. Green one's tastes like Lewis's spaghetti and meatballs "she replied leaving Lavina shocked

"Melanie,can you eat all.......that?" Lavina asked slowly

"Yep !"she replied

"Okay...I'll go get them "Lavina said and stood

She left the room and within minutes came back with all Melanie asked for

"Ina,t..t...the banana aren't yellow enough. It's tots unripe !"she pouted

"Seriously !?Melanie are you_"

"What about a coffee?"

"Melanie,by this time of the night!?!" Lavina couldn't help but hollare

"Yep and oh. Come with a mango. A big one please"

Next Morning**

"Sir Lewis, Sir Lewis!" Michelle yelled banging the door repeatedly

"It's locked "she said to Tikka

"Step aside "Tikka said and immediately kicked the door hard it fell down

"Lord Lewis!" she yelled stepping into the room

"He's not in here" Michelle said fearfully

The two ladies both walked into the bathroom and there. They met, Lewis laying unconscious in the bathtub

"Heavens!" Michelle shriked watching Tikka pull Lewis outta the bathroom.

His body is so hot Tikka had to remove her hand quickly. His entire body is wet but still beads of sweats could be detected

"I've never seen some this miserable before "Michelle voiced out

"He's burning up. This is not good. Call Miguel asap"

"Of course "Michelle replied and ran out

"Will he be fine ?"Tikka asked Miguel coldly

"I dunno. He's not even responding to treatment "he replied.

"Are you sure you even know your job!? Playboys are naturally daft. Michelle call another doctor,we have a faulty one here !"Tikka sneered

"How dare you bîtvh !?!"Miguel flared up

"Me...m... Melanie "they all snapped their heads to face Lewis

"Lewis !?'Miguel rushed to him

"S...s..she can't die. S...she can't . M.. Melanie,p.. please come back to me. Melanie "Lewis said still in an unconscious state

"The hell,his heart beat is unstable!" Miguel panicked

"Lewis, Lewis !"Miguel yelled watching him snap his eyes open before falling unconscious again

"W..what are we gonna do?" Michelle whimpered

"H..he needs her" Tikka said slowly

"I know but what are we gonna do. S ... she's dead. But,if Lewis health continues like this. He'll die"

Brown's Mansion**

"Thanks so much Ina !"Laine said cheerfully standing on her feet

The redness on her arm already faded away

"But I have to leave. I miss Lewis so_"

"You ain't leaving "Lavina broke her statement off

"Tch,y...y.. you're joking!?" Lanie said. Her smile died down seeing the serious look on Lavina face

"Am sorry Melanie. Everyone thinks you're dead."

"Huh!?!,what_"

"Let's keep it that way. Lewis is bad news. Am doing this for your own good" Lavina said and stepped outta the room

"Lavina, Lavina !!"she banged the door shut and eventually locked it

"Lavina!!" Melanie banged the door repeatedly from inside trying desperately to open it

"Am sorry Melanie. I can't let you be with Lewis. He doesn't deserve you"

Lavina said slowly from outside before walking away
