Chapter six

I quickly entered the car telling the driver  where to take me before I dug out for the complimentary card given to me yesterday by him and saw his name "Zion" I said out loud before picking my phone. One ring Jackie picks up

"What's up?" She asked 

"Everything is down right now. What's the name of your date today?" I asked to be sure incase his just his lookalike or replica

"Zion" she answered 

"Shit" I shouted 

"What happened?" Comes Jackie worried voice

"He's the same guy I had a quickie with and followed me. He gave me his Proposal and he's here tonight as your date Jacky. I'm screwed" I yell over the phone 

"Shit. Double shit" I heard Jackie repeating doing what God knows because I could detect from the phone she's moving around "where the ficking hell is my car key?" She asked

"I wouldn't know"

"Sorry I'm coming over" she said when I ended the call. I didn't know we have arrived until the driver speaks up 

"Ma we are here" he said 

"Sorry" I said, paying him his fee. I walked inside and luckily no one was there. I quickly went to my room and had a change of clothes before walking back to let my parents know I'm back.

"Father" I yell

"Yes my angel" he said coming out from their room 

"Most you shout or you're just trying to let the whole neighbors know you have a father b disturbing the hun" mother said 

"Oh gosh mom it's not long I get back and you're on my neck already?" 

"Since I'm strangling you right?" She question so I sighed 

"I'm hungry" I said changing the topic 

"Me too" Abraham said following me to the kitchen "sis can I have some money I'm broke" 

"Is that why you said you're hungry just to follow me inside and ask me for money right?" I asked looking at him suspiciously 

"No" he stammered 

"Then?"

"Okay fine. We are hanging out with my friend tomorrow and you know mom will not give me a dime" he complained 

"And how do you expect me to give you money when I just started working?"

"Please" he pleaded with his puppy eyes

"Fine but after this time don't asked me of anything again"

"I promised I wouldn't. You're the best sister in the universe" he said hugging me which I smiled

"Let me get my food before you strangle me to death" I pushed him away but immediately I sit down to eat the door was swing open and Jackie walked in which I couldn't stop myself from laughing 

"Seriously Jackie" I said laughing which Abraham follow suit before my parents walk in seeing how we were laughing 

"Oh God Jackie what happened to you?" Mother asked trying to hide her own laughter but father couldn't contain his so he laugh with us which makes Jackie to walk out to check herself out in the mirror 

"What they hell" she screamed 

"You have seen it right. You look like a mad woman who just escape from asylum" I said in between laughs

"This not funny Scar" she shouts

"Don't mind her my lovely daughter" mother said helping her to remove the pins in her hair and untangled her hairs which looks like a bird nest

"We need to talk to Scar'' she said in-between gritted teeth as I walked past her to my room "What the hell happened?" She asked immediately she lock the door

"I don't know seriously because you know I didn't know his name and you know I didn't even check his complimentary card to find out and when you inform me about his name I didn't quiet keep it in mind" I explained 

"Then what now?" She asked 

"I don't know because I'm confused just the way you are"

"Just accept his damn proposal and everything will be over"

"I don't think your using your brain to think right now rather you're using your pussy dumb head

"Fine" she started but her phone rang which didn't bother to check the caller "hello" she said which she didn't say anything for a while "wrong number please I'm not in the mood to talk now" she said "Oh shit. You said what" She screamed before checking her phone screen which if it's possible her eye bulb will be out of her socket. She ends the call

"Who is that?" I asked seeing her mouth wide open 

"It's Zion" she said which I jolt up from the bed

"What?" I shouted 

"You heard me well. I'm coming let me receive the call" she said and walked out

Zion POV

I didn't plan to go for this stupid blind date of a thing but I know we'll not to try my grandma because she will taunt and haunt me even in my dream. I decided to take my time so that the date will get angry and left "Zion you better come out now before I drag you down the stairs" I heard grandma voice which groan before walking out 

"I'm coming" I shouted picking up my jacket "Mike" I called out 

"He's not here I set him up on a blind date too since none of you is ready to see down"

"I'm off" I said

"Good and you better bear good new when coming back or else don't bother coming back home" she warns which I will gladly prat it backfires that way I will have few days away from her 

I arrived at the hotel where we got a reservation. I walked in and was ushering to my table but I guessed the person I'm here to meet is noon or something else because she was busy with her phone and from her dressing I don't think things will work out which I smile before clearing my voice. "Hello" I said to get her attention which did the trick because she raised her head 

"You" we both said pointing at each other but before I could say another thing she picked her bag and coat before running out which u followed suit but I was confused to see her dressing like that but dropped that aside to chase her but was a little bit late because she hail a taxi and entered before I could get to her

I couldn't help but to run my hand through my hair frustrated then I smiled seeing how she's dressed which I'm sure she did just to make her date reject her which I could've done if she hadn't been the one. 

I entered the car because the driver was already waiting for me "take me to the penthouse" I said to him because I don't want grandma ranting non stop on why I'm home early. 

I entered my room and couldn't stop pacing around which made me hit the wall "gosh" I said holding my head into my head not knowing what to do. I tried to even my breath before I pick my phone to call her 

"Hello" I said but guessed she's kind of carried away

"Please am I speaking to Jackie" I said waiting for response 

"Wrong number" she said annoyed about end the call

"Please wait it's Zion" I said after much deliberation before I heard her scream "oh shit you said what?" She was Shocked or surprised but I can't really say before she hangs up.

I was still holding my phone when a call came through "hello" I said putting the phone on speaker 

"Sorry I end the call" she apologies 

"That's not a problem"

"Good. So I'm sorry for causing this ruckus" she apologies again which I'm confused 

"Sorry I don't get you"

"Well I'm Jackie but the person you met with is Scarlet my best friend" she explains 

"But why?. I thought I'm meeting Jackie" i asked not understanding 

"Well she came instead of me because I don't believe in all this blind date of a thing" she said 

"But you know what you did is wrong you should've just inform me right away and save the both of us from this stress and wasting of time" I said a tad bit angry 

"I'm sorry" She apologies 

"You know that won't solve all the problem" o said through gritted teeth I can't believe their audacity 

"I know but i promised to make it up to you"

She vows

"How?" I asked

"I know of the proposal you gave to Scar and I promised I will help you out if you will just want this slide" she said 

"But"

"Don't worry she told me everything even about your lovey dovey moment in the toilet but I promised my mouth is sealed" she said which I groan

"Fine bit I need to meet her first because I don't want to force her"

"Worry not I got you covered and I promised you both will meet. I will set a date for you both tomorrow so you can discuss"

"Good but don't let her know she's meeting me"

"I got that cover just get ready and don't be late like always" she warns which I chuckle seeing she got some nerve

"Alright the 8pm"

"Done" and I disconnected the call smiling before I composed myself. I don't know what have gotten over me I never do all this nor have I stressed myself over a girl before but I think it's because I just want grandma and mother to let me be 

"Yes that is it" I said out loud to myself
