KATE’s P.O.V.
“Why haven’t you tell me your name before? You know, I waited for you at the rooftop of the tallest building in our school right after our graduation ceremony but you didn’t come. Tell me, did I do something wrong to you, Kate?”
I looked away, afraid to be trapped by his intense stares. I decided to lie and don’t tell him the truth. Since now that I finally realized that Claire and Elijah have some kind of relationship with each other like what we have before. Looks like they are friends too.
“No, you haven’t done anything wrong. My Mom just wanted to celebrate my graduation day so we leave in the school earlier than I expected.”
“You forgot about me just like that?” he asked, then pouted.
“Uhm... Nope. I haven’t forgot you, Elij...”
“Then why aren’t you answering my calls?”

KATE’s P.O.V. It’s been a week and today, I have nothing to do so I decided to pay a visit to my ex-bestfriend’s workplace. Elijah told me where they working, so now I know where and when the perfect time to bother her. I just wanted to know if Darren and Claire are indeed married or not. In the back of my mind, I knew that something is wrong. How can they be married that fast? And even so, why did Mr. Herrera arranged our supposed to be marriage if Darren have a lover already? There’s so many unanswered questions that I wanted a conclusion. That’s why I’m doing this. I drove towards the nearest school, and right now I don’t care what Elijah will say about me anymore. I just wanted to know the truth. As soon as I arrived, I saw him walking in the open ground, holding some folders and stuffs. I ignored him, because I don&rsquo
KATE’s P.O.V.“So, where should we go?” I asked curiously right after all of us are finally inside of the car.“I’ll bring my wife to a special place,” Darren stated. He reached and held Claire’s left hand. His other hand is still focus on the wheel. I wanted to take his hands off of Claire’s but I couldn’t do it. I know it will probably just caused some complicated things that will only get me farther away from the truth later on.“Where are we going exactly, Darren?” Claire asked, but he didn’t answer. Darren just gave her a small kiss on the back of her hand. I rolled my eyes. That’s when the torture started. It felt like I was crumbling in pain for I wanted to stop this stupidity and just went home. But I can’t. I need to finished what I started.“It’s a secret... Though
KATE’s P.O.V. I don’t know how many days it took me to find something suspicious about Claire and Darren. But waiting for apparently nothing bored me to death, I guess. It’s been more than a month since I last saw the both of them personally. Though I often see their faces on photos provided by Detective Suarez.“So, I want us to come all together at Darren’s engagement party. I wanted the both of you to show support to my bestfriend’s son,” Dad stated, before taking another bite to his breakfast. I tightly gripped on my spoon and fork. Why does he needs to say that in front of my face? And to Mr. Herrera, why does he even invited us right after what his son have done to me? Do I really deserve to be treated like this?“I won’t come out there,” Mom firmly stated.“Try me, Katheryn.” Dad glared at Mom, s
KATE’s P.O.V. Today is the day that I’ve been waiting for to come. The day that I could finally get my revenge. Mom is looking worried about me, thinking that I would cry once I saw Claire and Darren at the party later. I secretly laughed at that thought as she didn’t realize that I’ve got some plan to do later on.“Are you sure you wanted to do this?” she asked, looking worried again as she helps me fix my hair.“Of course, Mom. I can do anything. Just watch me later...” I stated, taking a deep breath.“What do you mean?” Her brows are almost touching because of confusion.“Nothing, Mom. Let’s just go. Dad is probably waiting for us downstairs. No one wants us to be late.”“Sure thing, sweetie.” We all meet downstairs before we get inside of our limousine. Mom and Dad isn
KATE’s P.O V. Maybe it’s been an hour or so since I started to wander around the streets. I felt tired, drunk, and hurt. My feet were already aching because of my shoes. My dress even got dirty because of all the running and stuffs. I decided to take a rest, not bothering if someone could see me out here. I sat on the cold ground, before I hugged my knees and cry. I didn’t know what to do. It only feels like yesterday when Claire and I were just watching horror movies over my house just to ease boredom. I sometimes miss those moments, knowing that could never happen again right after what I did tonight. I keep asking myself one question... And that is, am I a bad person? Can people blame me for being like this just because I got hurt in the past? I don’t know the answer, and I know that no one could answer me either.“Hey! Kate?!&r
KATE’s P.O.V.“Elijah...” I moaned his name as we exchange our position. I’m currently laying on the couch while he started to kiss my neck. I don’t know how did it happened, but we just found ourselves driven by the heat of our kisses. After a few moments, he stopped, both of our breathes are ragged. He gently pushed me away from his body, before helping me to sit up. He moved away, massaging his temple as he looked so bothered because of what happened, I guess.“What’s wrong?” I asked, confused.“You’re drunk, Kate. You don’t know what you’re doing. I don’t want to take advantage of your weakness...” he stated, making me blushed. He’s not the man I think he is. He still got some respect for me. He didn’t let lust to get in the way of him being a respectful man to so
KATE’s P.O.V. Today, we will meet our wedding planner to help them in our wedding preparations. Also, Dad said that if we wanted to have a personal touch to this wedding, we need to be here. Though we don’t have much thing to do. Dad told me that this might help me get close to Darren and vice versa. He said that if ever there’s still a chance, I should grab it and make him fall in love with me. So I tried my best to be as sweet as possible around him.“So, what color do you want to be the theme of our wedding, Darren?” I asked sweetly. I’ve been asking him so many questions since we arrived in here. But all he ever answer was anything is fine and I should be the one to choose since I’m the bride. But that doesn’t stop me to try and be more comfortable around him. Even my hearts states the otherwise. It f
KATE’s P.O.V.“Hey, Kate,” he stated.“Elij...” I came closer towards him.“You’re here. It’s good to see you again,” he flashed another fake smile but this time, I didn’t buy it.“You’re staring at me. I saw you earlier. Are you stalking me?” His goofy fake smile is now gone. I wonder why. Maybe because he finally realized that I know what he’s doing.“Your eyes were probably just tricking you,” he blankly stated.“No, Elijah. I saw you. And then I followed you... Now we are here.”“Go home, Kate. I’ll see you in your wedding.” He turned around, then he started to walk away. My breathing got heavy, as I realized that he probably thinks that I don’t remember what happened that night. But I do. It was a crystal clear memory i
