KATE’s P.O.V.
Today is the day that I’ve been waiting for to come. The day that I could finally get my revenge. Mom is looking worried about me, thinking that I would cry once I saw Claire and Darren at the party later. I secretly laughed at that thought as she didn’t realize that I’ve got some plan to do later on.
“Are you sure you wanted to do this?” she asked, looking worried again as she helps me fix my hair.
“Of course, Mom. I can do anything. Just watch me later...” I stated, taking a deep breath.
“What do you mean?” Her brows are almost touching because of confusion.
“Nothing, Mom. Let’s just go. Dad is probably waiting for us downstairs. No one wants us to be late.”
“Sure thing, sweetie.”
We all meet downstairs before we get inside of our limousine. Mom and Dad isn
KATE’s P.O V. Maybe it’s been an hour or so since I started to wander around the streets. I felt tired, drunk, and hurt. My feet were already aching because of my shoes. My dress even got dirty because of all the running and stuffs. I decided to take a rest, not bothering if someone could see me out here. I sat on the cold ground, before I hugged my knees and cry. I didn’t know what to do. It only feels like yesterday when Claire and I were just watching horror movies over my house just to ease boredom. I sometimes miss those moments, knowing that could never happen again right after what I did tonight. I keep asking myself one question... And that is, am I a bad person? Can people blame me for being like this just because I got hurt in the past? I don’t know the answer, and I know that no one could answer me either.“Hey! Kate?!&r
KATE’s P.O.V.“Elijah...” I moaned his name as we exchange our position. I’m currently laying on the couch while he started to kiss my neck. I don’t know how did it happened, but we just found ourselves driven by the heat of our kisses. After a few moments, he stopped, both of our breathes are ragged. He gently pushed me away from his body, before helping me to sit up. He moved away, massaging his temple as he looked so bothered because of what happened, I guess.“What’s wrong?” I asked, confused.“You’re drunk, Kate. You don’t know what you’re doing. I don’t want to take advantage of your weakness...” he stated, making me blushed. He’s not the man I think he is. He still got some respect for me. He didn’t let lust to get in the way of him being a respectful man to so
KATE’s P.O.V. Today, we will meet our wedding planner to help them in our wedding preparations. Also, Dad said that if we wanted to have a personal touch to this wedding, we need to be here. Though we don’t have much thing to do. Dad told me that this might help me get close to Darren and vice versa. He said that if ever there’s still a chance, I should grab it and make him fall in love with me. So I tried my best to be as sweet as possible around him.“So, what color do you want to be the theme of our wedding, Darren?” I asked sweetly. I’ve been asking him so many questions since we arrived in here. But all he ever answer was anything is fine and I should be the one to choose since I’m the bride. But that doesn’t stop me to try and be more comfortable around him. Even my hearts states the otherwise. It f
KATE’s P.O.V.“Hey, Kate,” he stated.“Elij...” I came closer towards him.“You’re here. It’s good to see you again,” he flashed another fake smile but this time, I didn’t buy it.“You’re staring at me. I saw you earlier. Are you stalking me?” His goofy fake smile is now gone. I wonder why. Maybe because he finally realized that I know what he’s doing.“Your eyes were probably just tricking you,” he blankly stated.“No, Elijah. I saw you. And then I followed you... Now we are here.”“Go home, Kate. I’ll see you in your wedding.” He turned around, then he started to walk away. My breathing got heavy, as I realized that he probably thinks that I don’t remember what happened that night. But I do. It was a crystal clear memory i
KATE’s P.O.V. Mom didn’t stop nagging me about whom I met in the mall the other day. But I chose to remained silent, for I didn’t want to ruin Elijah’s plan. I know he’ll do something just to stop our wedding. So I’m just gonna wait and hold on to that promise of him. Today is our prenuptial photoshoot. Darren is here with me, but it looks like something is bothering him ever since we arrived in here. Mom often scold his actions, and I just ignore it.“You’re not yourself.” Those words are the ones that Mom often told him for how many times now since we arrived in this place. Thankfully, Darren knows how to apologize and he is very patient with my Mom’s attitude.“Okay, one, two, three, say cheese!” the photographer energetically stated, trying to lighten up the mood in this room.
KATE’s P.O.V. After our lunch, Mom and Dad let me head home alone for they have something to talk to about... That’s what they told me. So I drove one of our car before receiving a text from Elijah. A smiled slowly formed on my lips as I read his message. He wanted to meet up with me at his apartment. His classes just ended and he said that he have something to tell me about. I felt excited, thinking that maybe he already got a plan for us. When I arrived in front of his apartment, he still isn’t there. So I decided to stay calm and wait for him. Besides, Darren doesn’t even visits his bestfriend very often. After a few minutes of waiting or so, a familiar car parked in front of me. And when the car door opened, I saw Elijah, holding a box of pizza and some drinks on his other hand. I smiled, seeing him looking happy for the very first t
KATE’s P.O.V. I thought Darren will cancel our marriage then everything is going to be just fine. But I was wrong. Because today, it is our wedding day. I felt anxious, knowing that I should just accept the truth. I’m fated to be just like my mother, a martyr woman who let herself suffer into pain right after she gave a child to someone who doesn’t even paid any attention towards her. However, today, Mom wasn’t bugging me out about anything. She remained in silence, as she helped the make up artist fixed my hair. Dad is already at the church, being there earlier than us as usual.“You can leave here. I can take care of her,” Mom stated, and the artist eventually leave the room.“Mom, if you’re going to–”“What? Bug you? Or try to make you cancel the wedding? I’m not going to do that, Kate. Not today. All I wanted rig
KATE’s P.O.V. A day passed. We are still at the hospital, Mom regaining her strength after being diagnosed of having a mental breakdown. She looks fine, but I bet she felt really bad and sorry for me.“Here, Mom. Eat this one,” I stated, giving her another slice of apples while Dad is taking a sleep in the couch. I stiffened as Mom reached for my hand, looking at me with a worried expression plastered upon her face.“Are you alright, Kate?” she asked.“Yes, Mom. And I’m one hundred percent sure about that. Here you go. Eat this one to regain your energy.”“But... I though you like that guy?” she asked curiously.“Yep... Maybe. But I already love someone. And what I mean by that, I already found someone that could accept me for the real me...” She smiled, looking relie
