The room smelt of old books and dust.

That was the first thing I noticed when we walked in. Then the laid back vibe of an old library. 

It was dim inside, the only source of light coming from the stray rays of light that escaped the clutches of the thick brown draperies.

I turned to face Aiden who was standing behind me, an expectant look on his handsome face.

"You work in a place like this?"

He nodded, oblivious to what I was talking about. "Yes... Is anything the problem?"

"Doesn't it feel suffocating in here," I gestured to the thick draperies. "Look, you barely have enough air getting in."

He brushed my concern off. "I get lost in work that I always forget to ease out the draperies."
