At first, I felt disappointed and then relieved.

Although there was a strong physical attraction that could rival magnetic pulls between us. I knew I wasn't ready for anything.

I breathed out slowly as he moved away.

"I told you not to apologise for nothing Ava." His voice was gravelly with wanton desire, but his eyes mirrored amusement. And that combination did nothing to soothe my own raving needs.

"I'm so-" I cleared my throat, almost face palming myself. "I'll stop now."

Aiden chuckled before taking my small hands into his large ones. "Would you like to see my home office?"

I nodded, feeling relieved that he has quickly moved to another topic.

"Sure."

"Just a second," he said, disappearing into what looked like a walk-in closet, while I was left to briefly admire the masculine elegance of his room. Its fresh scent and calming ambiance.

He was out in a moment. Now fully covered up.

"Shall we?" He led the way out of his room and into the large hallway.
