I cleared my throat as we continued to walk the hallway, while she waited for my answer.

"He is great." I finally answered dumbly.

Layla let out a chuckle as she came to take my arms into hers. "So we are keeping it PG are we?" 

"Uh, no it's not like that." I was embarrassed to the bones.

I'd taken my time thinking about Aiden and all the ways I thought of him, just to give her a three worded, vague answer.

"Aiden is so much more than great to you Ava." She nudged me teasingly. "I'm sure you felt it."

I blushed beetroot red, clearing my throat.

"It's okay love." She assured. Certainly off teasing me for a while. "I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I?"

I shook my head quickly. "No. Not at all."

She smiled. "I'm glad. You see Ava, I like you, a lot. As a friend who feels like a sister in some way and whatever else you want to be."
