I felt it before I could open my eyes.
Someone was staring at me. I stilled in bed, by head nestled in the billowing pillows.
My heart began beating wildly. With the series of nightmares I had last night and my constant inability to properly sleep, I felt I was yet in another nightmare. I still felt the eyes on me which urged me to find out who.
"Ava?" The familiar voice called and I stilled again.
It can't be.
He can't be the one calling my name in this very room.
But then I sat up and was met by his face.
Aiden was sitting by my bedstand, looking at me.
Wide eyed and confused, a scream tore through my mouth before I could process things.
Aiden was quick to come to the bed. "Are you okay Ava? What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
I recoiled, moving away from him.
How was it possible that Aiden was in the room before me. Looking like yesterday's incident never happened.

The saying; What would be, would be has never been more befitting of my situation. I was back to the same place I'd been so adamant on leaving in the first place. Back to seeing the beautifully lined rolls of houses and the large mansion that was Aiden's home. Now that I was seeing it in broad daylight, it felt so charming and very pleasing to my eager eyes.
